Love your videos. We will be going for a trip to Istanbul soon…. Thank you for the great tips! Cannot wait to feast now. Love your enthusiasm 😊
TURKEY IS BEAUTIFUL
Food palace ❤
It's important to tell the street food vendors that you want plenty of kebabs in your bread, some vendors just serve small portions or small amounts of kebabs or kokorec! That's something I have noticed on the streets. As an tip from me to all of you, don't be shy to tell the vendor to add some extra kebab or kokorec into your order, that will make the meal so much more delicious! It is also important to point what piece you want while buying street foods, often the vendor just pick one themselves and serves it to you, if you point on that piece that you really want to eat you will enojy the tastyride so much more. 😚
Istanbul is gorgeous and the food is just exceptional 😮🥰
MARK I absolutely love how where ever you go you take your family with you!!! Your son is getting an education of a lifetime!!! If you are home schooling him, I APPLAUD YOU!!! Keep going!!! I want more!!! MUCH LOVE ❤️

The tea always looks so good; it gives me a big craving!
Turkiye is beautiful.
Amazing people, delicious food.
Love. 🙂
I really enjoy Mark's videos; he is just as enthusiastic when discussing food and preparation as a Brazilian reporter that is commenting on a soccer-match with a, or the, Brazilian team on TV 🙂
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed he talks about the food prep like a sports commentator 🤣
I thought that Mark's Turkish Food Vlog Serious was finished a week ago, this shows how Mark was seriously affected by my Country and it's delicious food. He can't stop posting videos from my country Turkey 🤣🤣🤣

Your country have the best food culture in the world!
Hello from your neighbor Bulgaria.
Sorry to say that but the first place, Dönerci Şahin Usta, Mark ate at just rips people off. He puts a maximum of 50 grams of döner meat and charges 10 USD! Do not go and eat there!
They definitely under meat the sandwich
As a Turk you are right i agre.
I definitely agree don't go
@@caaa7582 Agree with You, probably 4 or 5 times more expensive that it should be... !
came here to say the same. $10+ is highly overpriced.
Did anyone else see the little kid pick his nose and wipe it under the table LOL 7:04
Doner kebab is such a legendary food that it is so addictive.
Oh, WOW Mark. The way you describe the amazing cutting skills of the chefs is like being in the bleachers watching the greatest-of-all-time football game. I'm on my feet, mouth watering, performing my best high school cheers (I've been out of high school 55 years now). Thanks for the memories!!😅
Can never go wrong with some kokorec! 🤤
Guys, if any Kokorech place is chopping the kokorech into tiny pieces, almost converting into minced kokorech, it is considered as non authentic, and as if he is trying to hide that his kokorech is not tender enough, so that you can eat it without chewing, otherwise it would be tough to chew.
and if they are adding peppers and tomatoes to the kokorech, they are selling you half kokorech and half veggies. You may think you like it that way, and yes it becomes delicious, but in the authentic form, they should not add any veggies.
In authentic form, they are supposed to cut a round about half inch thick and cut that into 6 bite size pieces and only add little spice on it, nothing else. If the kokorech is made from lamb organs with the right pieces or organs, it will be very delicious by itself inside the bread.
Everything they do in addition is considered as cheating their customers.
definetely, I totally aggree with you as a Turk
🙂
Never been to Turkiye but something felt “off” about that preparation 😂 Can I assume everything around this Grand Bazaar is a tourist trap?
@ in general that would be correct assumption. to avoid those places, you will need to shop where locals live and shop, that is outside the touristic areas, and that may not be easy to the for a foreigner. you may want to try to find a local friend who can speak English. those people may give good suggestions.
I'm drooling, great food great people. Love Istanbul ❤
Nice, this is great. I like your channel.
Awesome Cooking Skills ❤
One of the expensive baxar in istanbul cheap stuff where local goes best one is spice bazar which is cross the road from grand bazar
I’VE NEVER SEEN MARK ENJOY THE WHOLE PROCESS OF ONE MEAL LIKE KOKOREÇCI. HE TRULY REJOY SEEN HOW THE MASTER GRILLER SET UP THE MEAT, COOK AND SERVING. MARK IS A CONTAGIOUS BLOGGER AND WE LOVE THAT!!! KEEP THE AWESOME JOB MARK!!!

Mark please go to Bursa the capital of döner kebap, just few hours from istanbul, try pideli köfte and some esnaf lokantası.
😋😋😋😋 seems to have delicious
lovely foods in there
The Food look soo bomb 😋
I love how he opens it up and asks can you smell this lol
Şahin Usta's döner is the most overrated döner in Istanbul. The meat is made from ground meat, not solid cuts. In Turkey, ground meat döner is considered lower quality. A good döner is made from solid meat. Because of this, it's really dry. And it's super expensive. I just don't get why it's so popular.
Aynen Kebap's atmosphere is fantastic. Sitting in the middle of everyone and munching on as much parsley, pickles, and peppers as you want is such a blast.
The kokoreç looks amazing too. While you can eat kokoreç during the day, it's a nighttime dish. It's especially popular for ending a night out after drinks. But hey, it's delicious during the day too! :)
Thanks Mark, your energy and passion are truly inspiring.
Which Doner would you recommend?
@@JamesKerwinHere are some lesser-known but top-notch döner spots:
Dürüm Büfe maps.app.goo.gl/mcqgp4VmrKfsmy2o7
Dönerci Sadık maps.app.goo.gl/UyH3hpFGvpsmQY277
Dönerci Engin maps.app.goo.gl/RD7VcjqStVMhUwXt6
@@JamesKerwin Döner kebap is all over so i'm not gonna give a specific name but generally he's right. Unless it is Bursa or Ankara style döner which is supposed to be made with ground beef, it is a general rule that it is most likely lower quality. You'll understand the from the look of the meat. Ground beef will always look dry and greyish. Higher quality döner will always be juicy, vibrant color that makes you wanna bite the whole thing and you can almost always tell that it is made with layers pf meat. Traditionally its supposed to be lamb but nowadays most places does it by beef/lamb mix. You should be able to see the fat layer in between the meat. That is why a classic Turkish döner never has sauce unlike the ones in Germany or UK. If you see these on a döner, unless the meat itself hasnt gone bad, there's almost no chance that it is bad.
looks good man
Love u mark bro ❤❤❤
holy crap im so ready for this!!
Thumbnail 😂😂 😂😂 I Laughed and died 😂😂😂
Were is the Cucumber Dressing on the Doner ? 😮
Nothing like knife metal shavings to fortify the iron content of your döner kebab! 🤣💪

1:33 i would be that excited if i knew i was about to overcharge as well 😂
He sharpened the knife but doesn't wipe off the metal before using?
After 10 Jaegers and 10 pints I am ready for this
The first place, even the tomatoes and onions are paper thin. The guy was too scared to throw a few more bits of spices.
Hi i love your vid
Normaly doner price 180 lira or smthing (5.62$) for beef doner for chicken doner 130 lira(4.07$)
good mark
The portions are such a let down. I went to turkey specifically for a kebab and was really disappointed with everyone i tried, is it just a touristic istanbul thing or is that the portions throughout turkey? For about the same price back home id say i get at least 4 times more meat
As a local, please avoid the first place. donerci sahin is not even close to be one of the okayish place. classic tourist trap. for that money you getting tasteless plasticy wet meat looking sandwich.
Yeah it looked like plastic to be honest I had much better in Istanbul
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yum !!!
❤🤍💙 all your video's #MARK👍
❤❤❤❤❤
good
Every man dies not every man really live 😂❤❤😂😂❤😂😂❤❤❤
Why did they always eat the same food? Turkish food is much richer. Each region has its own cuisine. There are also amazing vegetable dishes. They introduced Turkish food to Mark incompletely. Turkish cuisine is not just about kebabs.
We need you to make a vlog about it as I'm in Istanbul struggling to see past kebabs. Help please!
@@beattrixer7947 Marc ve İstanbul'a gelen diğer turistlerin videolarını izleyebilirsin. Bütün kebepçıları geziyorlar.
350 tl for one döner is toooo much
What da hell. 10 USD FOR THAT DONER IS MADNESS!!
Welcome to Turkey
It is Istanbul and Grand Bazzar yes that is expensive for that Doner but if it is Istanbul and The Grand Bazaar that's the rate there.
Same in Houston, doner wrap $10
@@mehmetyasar7855Hh, same, but not really.😢
Mark com to Bursa 💚
So?
Mark Weins, how many Restaurants does you own because, I don't have 1 in my State?😊😊
Nicely, asked
First place overrated place. Been there years ago. I've waited in the line for almost 40minutes. At the end of all I will never go back again. It's just a regular taste nothing special. And the price for that much of meat,no thanks
Is doner meat chicken or beef
Generally chicken or lamb. The literal translation of Doner is 'turning'.

The difference between Adana and Urfa Kebab is mostly that the Adana is spicy and the Urfa not.

Sorry Mark... but Sony is so professional, funny and gives honest reviews
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
What? No Tzatziki sauce on the Döner? Must only be a Greek thing.
In Turkey we typically eat Döner with no sauce. A good quality döner is juicy, and won't need any sauce; it should be all about the meat.
Mark, you need to seriously stop that orgasmic "Ohhhh ohhh". It's really weird and comes off as inauthentic.
🙋👋🤝👌👌👌
A kebab was 10$!?!??!
Is that good or bad ? Where I'm from you could get enough pizza for a family of 4 from $10
