Okay 😇😇🙏🏻
The full breakfast is great but kibbeh is my favorite individual food from Türkiye.
The best Istanbul food guide I've seen. Period.
I've been a big fan/recommender of 'Eat Like A Local' in CDMX for a long time and to realize there was a connection made perfect sense. :)

lovely videos !! but is it really true that the prices are much higher now?? I'm visiting soon inchaAllah and I've seen on maps that sometimes to prices have increased a lot.
Be there in 2 days!’thanks for sharing
Hope you enjoy it!
First time I tried Boza reminded ime of Avena or even horchata. So good.
thank you for this video 👍 do you know restaurant or street food adress in Balat
Bery Thank You so much!
I am using your restaurant guide to do a self-guided food tour from Taksim Square to Galata Tower. Currently sitting in Lades Menemen and about to head across the street for Durum.
I also have used Airlo and it is the best!
I have made a note that next time I come to Istanbul, the first thing I will do is book is your tour!
That is so nice!!
Enjoy your time here and the foods 🤤
Let us know what was your favorite and if you discovered any new spots that you liked also you can shared them, I can also pay them a visit to try them out if I haven’t 🎉
It would be a pleasure for us to show you more of the city next time you come 🇹🇷
No weird expressions or exaggerations, subtle voice levels, good ambience theme. I like your video :)
Thank you very much!
Staying in Kadiköy this last summer, I went to #21 frequently! This place shows how Cafeteria style restaurants can be an excellent choice, especially when you're having trouble deciding on what to eat! I also ate a lot of Balik Ekmek - the mackerel sandwiches. The places in Eminönü are good, but my favorite was a place in Kadiköy that served theirs in a pita. Much easier to eat! For a nice relaxing hour of people/ferry watching - both of the ferry terminals in Kadiköy have upstairs cafés. A coffee sitting on the balcony watching the ferries is a very nice way to spend a little time in the afternoon. As far as soups, I'm lactose intolerant - so no yoghurt based soup for me ... but the red lentil soups are just amazing. So tasty! Thanks for the video, Bery! Many excellent recommendations!
12:25 Which type of menemen did you have? It looks so delicious 🤤🤤🤤
I have tried some in Istanbul, but they were kind of sour. I am used to bulgarian version "mish-mash" and we put a little of sugar because of the tomatoes.
Really good job! Where is the location of this Kounefe?
Love from Mumbai but m vegetarian...be blessed
Muchas gracias x tan buena información y amenos videos! Desde ahora se q me encantará Türkiye!!!

Do you do food tours? I enjoy your videos. Full of information. Not sure how you keep your slim figure with all of that yummy food. The chocolate baklawa with cream i have never tried but it looks delicious.
Hi! Yes, my husband is a licensed tour guide so we also offer foodie tours at one of the most local areas of the city.

When I moved to🇹🇷 I gained a lot of weight (about 7 kg) 🥹 all the yummy food is irresistible and I just wanted to try everything! But later on I started taking care again, now I try to exercise regularly and it’s been like that for over a year now 🥹
Super
Is this the old video or recorded recently? Few prices shown in menu and on wall are recent?
I have just discovered your channel, and like it very much. I was in Türkye in 2021 and plan to return this autumn, so your tipps come very handy. About the food: I dont eat meat, so a lot of the dishes you showed in this video, are not really for me (but I still enjoyed seeing them). I am a fan of menemen, and also like pide, gözleme and soups (especially jogurt or lentil soups) a lot. You didnt cover any fish dishes (I love fish and seafood) :-(. I particularly like hamsi, we had it almost every night in a restaurant on the galata bridge. We also had an amazing sea bass fresh from the market in Kadiköy (where I also enjoyed the "pickle juice").
Dear i must say your content is really appreciated.. i have been to Turkey 5 times but after watching your videos I believe I've really missed alot... You're doing really good work... thumbs up!! I will keep following you for my future visits..
Do you have links that explain the menu on lokanta place?
Bery, could you please suggest the best place to eat Kunefe? I will go to Istanbul in 3 weeks and that's the food I am most excited to try
Try " Etiler Kebapcı " for Kunefe, one of the best i have had i Istanbul... also best lahmacun and Kestane Kebap (Lamb Shish Kebap) you can have....best price quality ratio restaurant
I’m always in Türkiye 2X a month. Love love their food but gonna try some of the places you recommended thank you for sharing.
Curious when getting shellac nails done where do you recommend that locals enjoy going and what are prices. Where I go they went up from 18 to 39.00 usd
Try them! You’ll surely like them ❤️
About the nails, tbh no idea!
@@BeryIstanbulTips Tbh I think as a regular customer I’m still getting charge the American prices jaja maybe I should try visiting the salons in the Asia side to compare. Thank you for your reply. Best wishes in 2024 for more growth of viewers just start following your IG
Thank you. Great video. It would’ve been amazing, if you would have put google maps links, so one could find the locations more easily.
I am planning to visit Turkey for 15 days and would like to see as much as possible. Please advise what’s the best route to go planning to visit from May 3 to the 18th
I miss Turkeyi! ❤❤❤
Always welcome here! ❤️
@@BeryIstanbulTips I'm afraid when I visit again it will be permanent 🥰 my soul never left Turkeyi only my body lol
Love it 😇😇🙏🏻❤️🫶🏻
What’s the name of the breakfast place in Cihangir? It wasn’t pinned on screen 😊
A lovely lady with a lovely personality.
Do you offer food tours in Istanbul? I would be interested. 😊
Hi Bery, I'm really interested in purchasing your guides on Thatch to support ya. I have a few questions and I don't see anywhere to ask them on Thatch. Hopefully you can answer them here on UA-cam, or let me know a better location to communicate. Questions:
1. Best Value Turkey Bundle $40, posted 7 months ago. Does it include all the updated/recent guides you've posted like the "Restaurants in Istanbul + Eat Like a Local" that was posted 2 months ago?
2. Best Value Bundle $40. Is the information in this guide updated on the regular and still apply in 2024?
3. Are there a rough estimate on the cost/budget within the guides?
4. Will there be a contact information after purchasing to ask questions / get support regarding the guides?
Thanks!
I could use your help with info on how to get from Istanbul airport to Bursa. Not sure what is the best and affordable way to go. Is it Metro 11 to Yenikapi to train to Gebze then bus to Bursa?
No idea about a bus from the airport.
You can also check the ferries with IDO from Istanbul to Bursa. They depart from Yenikapı.
how long time do you have? the most affordable way is to walk or bike.
or you can go to Esenler Bus Terminal from Istanbul Airport, and take a bus to Bursa.
bBead dough is pronounced doe, as in "low". The G is silent in dough. Great series of videos by the way, well done.
What do you call the cafeteria-style restaurants where there are displays of different foods and you can select what you want, put in on your tray, then pay for everything at the cashier? Thanks! I love your channel.
Hi, Jared!
We called them “lokanta”, love those places for more home-made type foods 😍
Your channel is the best for everything Istanbul. Thanks!
super video il manque cependant les prix pour nous donner un appercu car cela évolue rapidement avec l'inflation actuel
Bery, boza es como el atole de México, right?
Bir Türk olarak videonu begendim kolay gelsin şansın açık olsun ii gezmeler. Afiyet olsun.😂
I come to the çorba shop you mentioned, it’s really nice, order the same wedding soup and have a wonderful meal. The price is 120lira as Feb 2024
I’m glad that you liked it! And thank you for sharing the current soup price with us 🫶
And which place for kunafe? Didnt see that in video..
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just been to Istanbul, and the Boza is not a near match at what we have in Bulgaria. There is a place in Bulgaria which produces Boza locally and it's sweeter and noting like the Turkish one with the fermented taste. Thank you for the good videos!
we re talking about Istambul here, why so nazzzzi
You cannot make boza without fermentation. Everywhere in Turkiye boza has a sweet/sour taste due to fermentation.
Did they mention the name of the kunefe place? Best place to try in Istanbul?
Istanbul becomes more and more expensive, the service more and more unfriendly. It‘s sad to say for me, travelling four times a year to Istanbul. There are by far better destinations…! Last time in Istanbul I decided to fly to Chisinau in Moldova 👍🏻
I just returned from there. Disappointed
Can you explain why disappointed?
hi, do we need visa when we're travelling from malaysia?
No idea, I suggest contacting the Turkish Embassy in your country.
You should try boza with roasted chickpeas (leblebi) and the chicken rice with black pepper next time! That's how we always eat those ☺️👍🏻
Chicken rice with karabiber and pul biber 🤤🤤🤤
@@BeryIstanbulTips yess exactly my fav thing to eat on the way 😍🥳
Hi Berry , again a nice Vlog with realy amazing places 🎉🎉🎉 . Did you know that Mexican Tacos are originaly coming from people what are moved from the Ottoman Empire to Mexico at the early 20. Century ?
Because of the Emigrants ftom Ottoman Empire what lost the 1. World War there comes so many Emigrants from Middle esstern Ottoman Empire that the food comes with them to Mexico to 😁🙈
Thank you!
Yes! Is amazing how the döner got all the way to Mexico and we love it! In Mexico we call it pastor and there’s where the famous tacos al pastor come from, different meat, but is also shaped as in a döner which we call “trompo” 😍
When we go to Mexico I should show that 🥹
Is it possible for you to make a video on how to dress for the different weathers in Istanbul/ Cappadocia. I am coming on the end of April till May.
Pls make sure to check our channel, we have more than 200 videos speaking about different topics including clothing:

Hola Bery. Always asked what's the difference between Adana Durum and Urfa durum?🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Adana dürüm is spicy, while Urfa dürüm is not; other than that, they have the same taste.
I'm going back in Dec
Welcome back!
Alhamdolillah
I have'nt try seafood @türkiye.... I'll be back soon i hope ❤❤
Where can I buy Turkish delight for cheaper price in Istanbul..
❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
if you like lokum so much you can definetly love cezerye try it out
insist on haydarıııı :))
For allergic people, be careful with boza, the place that she recommended is made of millet, I can secure that because I had to go to the hospital because an allergic reaction
Hopefully, ur okay
At first 30-35 seconds of video, I thought you were a Turk explaining in english. Hard to explain, but your looks seemed familiar. Anyways, good vid.
Bery afiyet olsun. şu an karnım acıktı.
Where are you originally finally from? Your Turkish is hood.
Wait, you said you were the only foreigner in that cute pide place... I thought you were turkish?
All these great restaurants seem amazing. Has anyone visited these places and experienced kind of scam?
If you give the name and spot, add please also google maps location is hard to figured out....
I suggest you read the screen! Every place is written there.
@BeryIstanbulTips i arrived here just yesterday night, and i dunno if on this period i will find those place you show opening during the day, science now is Ramadan. There ar open? Thank you
when did you record this video? you don't show current prices. show what prices are now
This video is meant to show the foods to try in Istanbul, is a compilation from our previous videos as stated on the tile of the video.
The prices literally CHANGE every single DAY due to the inflation so is impossible to keep up with the prices at this point, what ever prices you see in any video, next week or even tomorrow will be useless.
Why don't you mention the prices??
Prices change, especially in Türkiye's unstable economy. During a 2 month stay this last summer, my breakfast place raised their prices twice to keep up with inflation. Plus, these videos will be here years from now - who would prices help then?
As @bjones9942 mentioned, prices even change every 10 days. I used to include prices in the videos, but they change very frequently. The prices of the foods I showed in this video usually range between 5-10 USD.
@@BeryIstanbulTips If you share a video 20 hours ago, I think it has prices from 20 hours ago, otherwise you say it's an "old" video or compilation.
The purpose of this video is a FOODIE GUIDE, not a food budget guide.
People wonder what foods can people try in Istanbul, so that’s the idea of this video plus we mention the restaurants we like to have each food.
We do our BEST in showing every detail including prices in every single video but you need to also understand that at some point we cannot do it (like in this video) because is exactly just a foodie guide and we are using our previous videos to do so. If you wonder about the prices, you can go ahead and watch the videos on this playlist which were used for this compilation but even then the prices will not be accurate anymore because they literally change every day:
ua-cam.com/play/PL6m02U8LbZteXonXrJlyL_yDig_1UsY1m.html&si=GsJLy8aldgGkeYH-
And about what you say “old or compilation”, clearly you didn’t read the tile of this video because precisely that’s the reason why I wrote (COMPILATION) at the end…
Why don't you blame yourself for not being able to acquire the ability of self-learning?Are you a baby?It is your problem!
Vefa Bozacısı gibi ünlü bir mekan nasıl olur da küçük kağıt bardakta boza verir? yakıştıramadım.
Food 18, name of place?
Asi Künefe Kadikoy
It's not about the food in Turkiye, but I have a question.
What if the tourist is muslim and wants to take a pray in Aya Sofiya? Did we pay 25€ or we can get inside for free?
Muslim tourists can enter free of charge to pray during prayer times.
do you forgot kumpir?😆😋
Kumpir is amaziiiiiing! 😍
Having studied and lived in Turkish Cyprus during my university days, I can pretty much live on döner kebap and hummus all my life 😋😋😋
Hummus is not Turkish though, it’s Arabic
@@sophies.9907 Biz oralara yüzyıllarca hükmettik aynı yemekleri yememiz normal.
Sana Türkçe diyen oldumu hayır. Biz humus bize aitmi dedik.? Lütfen tepkilerini doğru ver.@@sophies.9907
Honey çi keofte has beaten raw meat in it mixed into the bulgur. Otherwise it won’t be called çi keofte dum-dum. The vegetarian version is kisir.
It used to have raw meat, but not anymore. It was banned by the Ministry of Health in 2004.
%99 of places don't have raw meat anymore, especially in istanbul. Only at far eastern provinces you can find such places. Though the raw meat one was tasty, ate one before. But it makes sense it is banned, very hard to make sure it is made in a healthy way.
would have been better if you also indicated the price of each food you tried to give us the idea how much are all these.
As stated on the title of this video, is a COMPILATION of older videos since the idea is a FOODIE GUIDE (what you can eat in the city and where), sorry for not being able to go to almost 25 places all spread around the city to check their menu and get the current prices…
@@BeryIstanbulTips didn't ask for the current price. as I said, would've been better if you had included the price at THAT time to give us the idea of food prices.
There are still no Turkish subtitles in the videos. I don't understand your videos. Why don't you add Turkish subtitles? I want to understand your videos
What's your nationality?
Why nobody mentions the undrinkable tap water in Istanbul?
I can tell that you haven’t watched more of my videos! I have videos about general tips about Turkey and I mention that.
This video is only about foods and restaurants I recommend to eat.
Too expensive now government putting prices up on museums now to cover they inflation cheaper to go to dubai
It all depends what one is looking for, as a history and culture lover, I would still choose Turkey over many of countries and cities.
Acıbadem 70 TL mi 🤔4 kişilik bir aile 280 TL 😢
Maalesef, ama bu 5 ay önce fıyatıydı, eminim bu sene daha pahalı ☹️
