VERY helpful! I need to look at my ICC connections as my display has decided to poop itself for no reason. I've been searching for a simple, easy and thorough video for HOURS now. Should be easy to do! Thank you
LEGEND!!!! Much better than $187.00 quoted by my local Ford dealer just to clear the code. (Already fitted the ICC)
And now you have the tools and know-how to do it again, whenever you have to!! Thanks for your support mate, hope I can count on your sub 👍
Very professional 👍
This is the best video I've seen on how to replace ICC unit.👍👍👍
Thanks very much, I appreciate it 🙂👍
The plastic cap on the head of the ICC, very commom to break away, due to high heat and being exposed to UV. Plus when I removed mine, I was fuming with rage 😂. Ended up buying replacement and took out them yellow clips, as in near future may be considering to getting an aftermarket unit installed so it doesn't break again.
Liking your Cobra Mustang too 😊 nice Red.
Yep those pesky covers break a lot! Luckily they are cheap and easy to find on eBay. Thanks for watching! 👍
Ours in the BA has died and a friend has one that we can have. What a legend. 😊.
Glad you found the vid and best of luck with the install on the BA! Appreciate you watching 👍
Couple of years ego i replaced my Single Zone ICC on my 2003 BA XR6 with Fairmont Dual Zone ICC using FORScan app. Then you could get FORScan app 2 months for free, the only hassle with free one is you have to keep applying for it every 2 months, other vise it worked great. Great video mate.
Thanks George, appreciate you watching and thanks for the info!
Excellent video. There is now a two month free trial of the FORScan software. Thanks. Nice Falcon. My BFII is not as good nick, but does the job.
Thanks Kyle, hope the vid came in handy 👍

Thanks David, I really appreciate that mate. The videos are made to help out so I'm glad to see messages like this one... I hope I can count on your sub 👍😉
Hi there, so after acquiring the parts and programs needed, mate it was just as easy as you made it look on your video, once again thank you for all your efforts.
Such a simple useful video, works a treat after replacing ICC. Thanks.
Glad to see your ICC back up and running mate, and thanks for watching the How To Video 👍
That's a nice tutorial. Clean and direct as usual. Have a nice day :)
Thanks for your support mate, I appreciate it 👍
Perfect video , exactly what I was looking for . Thank you
Cheers for the feedback! 👍
Thank you for the informative video, helped me heaps with replacing my ICC 🙂 Very easy to follow your instructions.
Most welcome mate, and happy to see that the vids are useful 👍
Thanks mate, ive downloaded the software and ive installed the icc but im waiting for a suitable cable to arrive. I wasnt sure which modual to entre but cant wait to get my icc working
Good luck mate, thanks for watching the vid and hope you get the ICC sorted 👍
Great information. Any videos regarding ads light on issue, much appreciated.
Bad vid saved me heaps thank you 🙏
Glad to see that the vid was helpful, thanks for watching 🙂
Hey mate , great video , very helpful cheers
Most welcome mate, I'm glad to see this vid help people out!
that was excellent ,thank you very informative
Glad you enjoyed it.
Most welcome mate, I hope this vid is what you're after... While you have the ICC out, just check that your connectors in the back are all okay, sometimes the screens on these can play up if the connections are a bit loose or mangled from someone not putting it in correctly the last time. Also, once you have the ICC out, in the back you will notice that it comes apart quite easily, To Ford's credit they made these quite serviceable. Everything detaches and unscrews, so you may be able to get away with replacing just one component. In any case all the best mate, and thank you for watching. I hope you sub 👍
Isn't it sad that after all this. The factory stereo is crap. Such is life. This video is 10/10
It does the job for me - radio is all I need in this car, and Bluetooth harness kits are available on eBay for a few bucks for these. Thanks for watching mate.
Legend. Very helpful vid thanks and have subscribed. That's 60 bucks well worth spending
Glad to see that mate - I appreciate the support! 👍 New vid on cooling system coming soon...
Nice video! I've had a spare ICC sitting for a while now (after trying to replace it without switching that plastic box, and the whole car not starting) so might give this another go. Do you know if you can get a newer ICC and have it work this way? I only bought the same old one because it was cheap and I wasn't sure it would work. Cheers
Hey Tom, thanks for your support mate, much appreciated. Any ICC that has the same specs as yours will work as intended, as long as you do swap over the modules in the back, and then re-code the ICC as I've shown. If you want to upgrade to a higher spec model, that may have a colour screen or even dual zone climate control, you will have additional steps to do inside Forscan that I haven't shown here. It will be trickier, but can be done - or so I've heard.
Is it a iPad you are using ?

G'day Garry, thanks for the sub... I'm using a windows laptop.
Great video very helpful 👍.
I need to replace the foam air duct gasket, know of someplace other than ford dealership? To make and cut my own.
Thanks for letting me know that the vid is helpful mate. I appreciate it.
I'm unaware of anyone selling the foam, but maybe someone like Clark Rubber has an alternative you could cut and retrofit? I'd start there I think...
Important question. I haven't even finished the video. But it's still playing.
How many othwr codes can I deal with that way? ECU. BCM. Power Module atcetera? I'll be buing it for sure. But the sooner I know how much is in my hands the better
Forscan is great for many things of these cars, in fact it's the go-to for BAs and BFs. If you're looking to troubleshoot codes and diagnose problems, Forscan is it. Check out their forum.
Hey mate I’m haveing trouble finding a obd2 scanner for a 2004 ba falcon, on the website it states it’s for a 2006 BA and newer, will it still work with my car? If not can you point me in the right direction 👍 video was verry helpfull nun the less
Hey mate, appreciate you watching. I've never had a BA so not sure if the port will be the same for you... but hopefully someone here can help to confirm? Alternatively, send an email to the company, they will know for sure.
its the exact same mate
Thanks for the video and great tutorial. I had my icc swapped over by my mechanic yesterday in my 2005 BA Ghia. Everything works except my reverse parking sensors and the lights on my t-bar shifter. Do you think it's blow fuses or something else that needs to be programmed with the change of the ICC? I also noticed the swapped ICC I have has blue lights. I think it may have come out of a Territory Ghia. Would that be a compatibility issue? Thanks in advance
Hi mate, thanks for you comment and support - much appreciated!
Yes I would check fuses first... While I can't speak to your install, as I've only ever done the one I showed in the video, these ICC clusters do have several varieties, not just in spec, but also from BA to BF. If your fuses are okay, then yes, I would say that some programming may be in order. Again, I can't help here though as I have no experience in your ICC. Definitely check out the Forscan threads, and also jump on the BA BF Falcon Facebook group and ask this question. You will meet some 'characters' on there, but some people are ultra-helpful. By the way, I think a blue-lit ICC means it was out of a sports/XR model... my replacement also lights up blue, and it was from an XR6.
@@Horus_Works thanks again for taking the time to respond with such detail - much appreciated. I also printed out the Parking Aid section of the manual and it mentions that if there is a Module Configuration Failure, a possible cause may be: "ECU configuration has failed or not been set. Configure module using WDS". I think I'll purchase the OBD2 device and software you mentioned below and try to re-set it myself. Thank you again!
Hi, Great Video. Whats the activation code that it gives you, is it from the vehicle ECU ?, as I have a problem with my original ICC/ Starting/ECU Comms.
I was doing other work to engine and battery was disconected for a few days and then i started engine/idle to test it and then turned off and started/idled again and then a bit later started the third time and then the engine wouldnt start, and CODE word on ICC audio display screen and cant communicate with ECU with my Autel diagnostic scan tool, it comes - ‘’VIN Decoding Failed’’ when plugged in OBD2 Port.
So does it sound like its decoded itself and locked me out and also into the engine bay? As I did that push- Menu and AM buttons and it all works in Ignition ON position, but if turned back to ACC position its comes up CODE again and MENU/AM doesnt work in ACC, does this sound right. Thanks
Hey mate love the videos they've helped a lot. I have a question I hope you can help with, I've got a Territory with the same head unit (2009) which is original to the car, I'm worried if I disconnect the battery to fix some buttons on the stearing wheel I'll lose my radio as I don't have the code, but from this video am I safe to assume I don't need the code as the ecu and the icc module already match? Sorry for the long comment this stuff can be hard to know for sure!
Hey mate thanks for your support. No need to worry, disconnecting the battery will not make the radio lose the code. Go for it 👍
@@Horus_Works legend fixed my cruise control buttons thanks for the help! Might find a nicer steering wheel too now I know the mod is easy! Look forward to more videos on the older Aussie cars!!
@HodgkinTattoo thank you mate - glad to see that the vids are handy. More to come 👍
If you don’t do correctly you may immobilise your car for those who are doing them selfs I’ve learned the hard way
Tanks for the tip mate, much appreciated. Hopefully it helps someone out 👍
I wonder if that would let me be able to turn of the annoying upshift prompt that pops up on my Focus?
I'm unsure on that one mate, but the software is free if you want to give it a try.
Would love to see how to code the newer model Dual Zone Climate Control unit to upgrade this old one. Can't find a video apart from one that pulls out the IC Chip and use an EEPROM programmer to modify and get rid of the code.
It’s a big swap, and you need to change a few computers and stuff too, and ultimately you’ll end up with a low resolution screen and ok, climate control, but how often do you adjust your ac settings? The ‘best’ option is to use an Aerpro fascia, it’s about $600 and makes the dash look more like an FG and has blue lights in it to suit the xr clusters, and then run a mechless radio with apple/android play, or, use a single climate with knobs and colour screen from a xr. Looks factory, you can use a reverse cam, and looks more modern and you can probably pick one up for $295~ and the cost of a code.
Hi there, does it work with for ford territory? My car has a bad radio and the aircon button are not working as well. Does your old same as mine as well?
Hi Tim, yes this will work on a Ford territory. Just make sure you get the same ICC unit as yours when you replace it.
I’ve just encountered an issue with my BA tonner, I swapped ICC’s over and somehow corrupted PATS and my BCM. I have another one here and suspect mine may have been failing for a while as since I bought the ute a month ago, the remote lock would only work about 50% of the time with new remotes.
That's a strange one mate, I haven't come across anything like that. I'd try to reprogram the keys, but I'm guessing to be honest:

Great video but im too old to use computers. I still love carburettors ha,ha, not allowed near computers. Last one got booted out the back yard
Yeah the ICC Module takes a bit of tech to fix, but even if you don't want to tackle it, hopefully the video shows how a mechanic would do it for you - so that you know what's involved and don't get overcharged...
@Horus_Works it's a great video and makes it easy to change, computers hate me. Been driving Valiants for years but these falcons are nice cars and had to get a turbo Barra. Can always ask my kid to do the computer thing.
Can an ICC 2008 from a falcon G6 work on the 2013 FG ? Asking because I have the G6 ICC with a larger screen
You are a legend
Thank you mate, I appreciate your support 👍
Excellent
Is the software letting you replace a service scanner?
I haven't dived in deep yet to take a close look at everything, but it's a free download so may be worth taking a look. The Falcon guys and some Mazda guys I know swear by this software.
I tried this and it didnt work. So i ended up buying myself a new laptop for work thought i would give it another go with the new laptop. And bam works perfect
Sorry to see that it took a new laptop to get this working for you mate, but glad you sorted it in the end... at least now you can play in Forscan any time you like :)
Is the obd adapter set to ms can or hs can?
Isnt the radio coded too and need to swap something to do with the radio and cd stacker?
If you follow the steps I've shown it will work 👍
Yeah i have gonna watch this again when i do mine was just curious about the radio i got told its coded to the key aswell and will need to use my radio unit if i dont wanna recode it to the key?
i think before you put it all on and screwed in after the wires are plugged in give it a test first to make sure its all working
Good call Leah 👌
I was just about to make this exact comment!!
Mine keeps coming up no adaptor found getting very frustrated
done everything you did, mine keeps coming up with no adapter found, please check connection and try again,
That's odd... mine worked just fine. One thing I can think of - try running the software in compatibility mode in windows. So: Right click on the Forscan icon / select Properties / click the Compatibility tab / 'Run this program in compatibility mode' / select one of the older windows versions. Try Win 8, then something older even. This would be my suggestion. Past this maybe reach out to Forscan on the forums, or even the company that made your OBD port... Good luck 👍
ok thanks@@Horus_Works
Mine to
i did the same but now my car wont star😢
Can you fix the windscreen wipers problem with the software
I'm not sure, because I don't have this problem, but the software is free if you want to try.
@@Horus_Works I will look into more
can you check the link to the plug for me, its saying page not found?
They may have changed their website - contact them through their website mate - they will reply and recommend the correct one for you.
Forscan is no longer available please help
Hey mate, try this link:
forscan.org/download.html
👍👍👍
where is the activation code
Yep, mine just shattered into a million pieces 😢
That doesn't sound good...
Thank you
Most welcome, I hope I can count on your sub 🙂👍
