Hi Sean, been running it for about 18 months to two years now. Fantastic tool to have with my 4 Ford's. Not much you can do configuration wise with my AU'S but can do heaps with my Ranger. The fault diagnosis function is great and has been handy with figuring stuff out. Highly recommend getting the extended licence for eighty odd bucks for lifetime updates. Police mode is worth it too in BA as you get digital Speedo in the RH screen.
What can it do for an AU series 1, and can it monitor for engine missing on a BA falcon 2003 - series 1 ? ie can it tell you which cylinder is miss firing?
I wonder if it would get my blend door motor going. Drivers side was working. But noisy. Took it apart. Everything looked fine. Now it only goes to hot. Doesn’t go back to cold. Might need a reset or something
hey mate is there any vids of the gauges on this model wanted to see whats it like on a falcon myn is very model to your with the display just wanted to see before purchased
Sean, I notice they also sell a branded version for Forscan use - ie $88 connector vs the one you used. Apart from the manual switch on yours, is there really any difference between them? And are you able to monitor for engine missing?
Interesting. I took out my blend door motor because it was noisy. Took it apart. Had a look. Looks fine. Put it back in now it only goes to hot. Won’t go back to cold. I wonder if I could reset the HIM HVAC with this program and get it working 🤔
Thank you. I should have looked this up ages ago. Got a falcon with a fault code for the RCM but have no idea how to fault it, taking it to ford soon so they can diagnose. I am a mechanic myself but do not know where to start when it comes to a code that doesn't point you in any direction.
paying for forscan license allows you to do the more advanced stuff. For you OBD to detect Canbus stuff you need to rewire and add a switch to the adapter
Hi Sean, just came across this video do you know if this tool and software works with a AU falcon 6 cylinder. I am having trouble with an intermitent misfire.
Hi Sean, quick question can you activate cruise control with forscan? I brought a ute with no cruise option... but did remove the steering wheel and added the cruise buttons. And been told you can activate it using ford icc program. Just wondering if this program can solve it.?
B1251 is the sensor in RH mirror, if there is no outside temperature reading on your ICC screen the sensor is probably not fitted (its built into high series mirrors). U1900 the service manual says "Document and clear the DTC’s. Read fault. received. DTC’s. If the DTC is registered again referto CAN bus diagnostics section 303-14."
@MotoringBoxTV that's no longer the case if you purchase the Forscan extended licence. It allows you to re-match all those modules and the ICC becomes fully usable. I was one of the original Alpha testers for Forscan on the BF series. Was a lot of back and forth and my car was unusable until the programmers fixed all the bugs. Well worth it in my experience
I just bought the adapter after downloading Forscan, I’m gonna enable police mode as a once off to see what it’s like, I know that it’s only a digital speedometer
Hi Sean i always enjoy watching your channel and seeing what you have been up to. Although this has nothing to do with todays topic, I have a '06 BF lpg Falcon, it developed a vibration, on closer inspection the drive shaft centre bearing had perished and come apart. It was a simple fix and only took me a couple of hours to replace. Its maybe something for you to look into on your car. Keep up the good work mate, Phil. NZ
ACM Audio Control Module. PCM Powertrain Control Module(eec/ecu). BCM Body Control Module. HIM Heater Integrated Module(Hvac). RCM Restraints Control Module. ABS Antilock Braking System. IC Instrument Cluster. If you get the extended license off Forscan to add to the app/program you will get use of all programing features available on your laptop. Some codes are generic and if you click into the error you will see the warning light option is OFF.
The Ford dealer software for the Falcon is “IDS”. IDS is a global tool and the UK dealerships should have this tool/software and would probably work fine. Forscan is reverse engineered from IDS, a counterfeit version.
Hi mate , I have problem with xr6 turbo ba auto, example sometimes when I'm at traffic lights the car vibrates and stalls ,and another example when transmission on reverse also happened the same thing happen , already I changed spark plugs and coil pack, and car has been tuned and we didn't find any problems on computer, what is your advice thanks so much.
When you say vibrates, does the whole car shake pretty violently and you can't really drive it? Or other times when driving, does it sometimes feel like the car is accelerating by itself? (slightly)
@@MotoringBoxTV yes accelerating byself slightly sometimes not always, and when car making shake sometimes feels like whole car shake yes, but the shake looks like always the same thing not increasing, sometimes shake happened make car stop sometimes happened but the doesn't stop.

Nice! Yes, it sounds like some of the codes are from missing equipment. This makes sense I suppose, if Ford used the same loom whether certain upgrades were present or not. Like electric seats or climate control.
@@MotoringBoxTV in the ba there were 2 different levels of body loom. level 1 was ba xt spec, and had wiring for front only power windows, the rears were manual. version 2 was used in ba futura and above, and had the wiring for the rear power windows. i changed a ba xt series 1 interior loom to a ba futura series 1 loom to convert to rear power windows. part of this also required changing the drivers door loom, as the other windows wont work if a working 4 way window switch is not in the drivers door to complete the circuit. i used a fairmont ghia series 1 drivers door loom, which had extra wiring for the door courtesy lights, and had what is known as a grizzly module, which is a small circuit board on the loom. this connects to the mirrors, and provides the signals to shift them as per the memory seat/mirror request. i also added fairmont ghia seats, but had issues with the seat airbag wiring. i was able to get the electric adjustment working, but not the memory function due to the computer not being programmed to do it. so yes there is limited main looms, but then there are also different subsidiary looms that attach to them, and there are also different levels of body computers to control everything.
