I have been sober for 19 years and now work in mental health/substance use. I remember back in the day getting fentnyl patches and eating the gel. I remember when oxy's first showed up and were $5 a pill and when I quit were a dollar per milligram. I also used benzos and basically anything else I could get my hands on. I feel very lucky to have gotten out of that life back then because its so much more dangerous now. I really think we are seeing the end result of the war on drugs. We will never stop people from using them and we have made it more dangerous to use them instead.

The west coast rave scene and its communities across the country largely take pride in testing for purity and having trustworthy sources

I'm addicted to opiates.. I don't care really.. I'm able to maintain at the moment.. i have a chronic disease that has taking everything I had ... basically taken my life so I'm just waiting to die anyway.. whatever.. it is what it is..

If you have a chronic disease and take opioids daily, you certainly have a good reason. Many people with chronic pain become dependent on their prescription meds. As long as they’re haloing you live a better life and you take them as prescribed and are monitored well, you ought to be okay. I’m sorry you’re suffering.

@colleenquinn785 it's not chronic pain it's just drug use but the addiction to fentanyl is a very recent addiction.. was an accident.. depressants were never really my thing was just stupid .. this girl I like is an addict and I was spending a lot of time around her like.. daily and few months ago had withdrawals for the first time .. but like I said I don't really like it... withdrawals definitely are super unpleasant.... I'm not like using all day cuz that kinda high isn't my thing but I'm physically dependent now.. stupid cuz I we never got together hell I didn't even get laid... Lol . I got sick about ten yrs ago. Already lived longer than expected .. never thought I would get sick at 35.. had to eventually sell my house and I have nothing.. have no future.. I'm alone cuz it's hard to plan a life with someone who has no future . Know what I mean... So I don't really care .. is what it is..

It will never end as long as there is demand for the drugs. We've created an ugly world and people just want to tune out.

Wow. What a story! What a man!
I can’t help but imagine how much more brilliant and prolific he would have been without the acid and ecstasy 😂
