Okay to be fair, e-scooters that people like the Atwood family can easily afford can go an average of 30-50 kph/20-30 mph with little to no legal paperwork needed depending on location, and crashing at that speed even into something as simple as a tree could very easily kill someone in the right circumstances, especially if they're older.

I used to watch his vlogs as a kid so that prank and the podcast are crazy to me. I always though that they were great parents, but hearing how casually they talked about beating their kids is insane

@@T0NI_ unironically true though. Most of the time when that happens it's because of the parent's crazy religious belief. I had a friend in high school that wasn't allowed to go to the amusement park for a field trip for physics class because "they were Jehovah's Witnesses and physics is a lie".
If they actually beat their kids that's super messed up, especially because they used their kids for money for many years and forced them to do daily vlogs for long periods of time. They probably were the cause of their kids misbehaving, and then are implying they beat them for it

Used to watch Roman as a kid, never really watched his prank stuff more so his family vlogs, he had a cool backyard with a bunch of cool rich people toys like atvs a artificial lake, expensive ass rc cars. his family vlogs were my first really instance of a comfort channel I’d binge his videos as an escape from the world. Honestly been so long now that looking back I never really realized he’s kinda a “hell yeah brother type” like the red blooded American stereotype but makes sense. Knowing the kids I was watching have all the fun in the world as a kid were more then likely getting beaten makes me sad and sucks to hear that they parent like that. Guess it goes to show you never really know the true personality and lives of the people you watch

I used to watch Roman when I was a kid. I never watched his prank content cuz even child me thought it was cringey but I did watch his vlogs. Even though I enjoyed it at the time, I eventually just fell out of watching them, but when I went and saw some of his content when I was older, I definitely got a weird vibe from it. So when all this crazy stuff came out about them I was not at all surprised

As a former CA victim who’s still has a relationship with their parents, if they ever talked about what they had done so casually, I don’t think I’d ever forgive them.
It’s something that we’ve accepted to a degree and we move on, and it taught me I’d never, ever inflict the same pain on my children. So I feel for Roman, but he could have chosen to break the cycle, and he didn’t.
It’s more bizarre when you grow up with siblings too because my siblings often joke about the CA they went through (says stuff like “oh yeah they use to use more stuff compare to now! Belt, rulers-) and said it helped them while I always cringe or feel angry when remembering what they done to us.
My aunt and my siblings even say stuff like “Yeah we need to go back to when children get beaten for disrespecting people.”

I got whooped from time to time growing up like a lot of kids my age at no point ever did i think my dad with a belt was child abuse. It was a lesson and sometimes i was a slow learner, but I did learn. The discipline thing is one hundred percent true and if you don't look at young kids now and see a difference in a bad way then I don't know what to tell you.
