I hadn't bought Tropico 6 get and was curious about the DLC that adds the Trade Institute, and this showed it off well~
(decided to buy the DLC alongside the main game... seems like a great fundamental improvement to the game haha)

Very interesting! Makes me me wonder if there is any merit to importing batches of raw materials for industry manufacturing? Ie: Sign a big sugar import contract, and build a distillery but skip the costs of building and maintaining the plantations.
Yes, absolutely that is the case! I have ran few such operations where I don't have any of the raw materials, just purchasing them. And if you have a huge storage (advisable) then you can buy only when they are super cheap (and then buy maximum amount of them) and when raw material price rises - you are immune to that as initial purchase price remains and when everything is delivered - you can live quite some time on your warehouse supplies! :)
the only thing is you have to be careful with managing the warehouse so u turn off dock sale until you are ready for the big profit and make sure u have enough space
its also weird that u buy like 50k units but u can only sell like 10k so its tricky to sell all u stored
Absolutely! That involves some precise micro-management and being on top of all it..which in my opinion is way too much work for the gain :D

As always you videos are too good. Thank man. Personally it is too much manual to handle these trades and number of trade route are limited. I will just use provoke to pump up my produced goods instead. I can forget it and make tons of money extra.

And yes - I am too lazy to actively manage all that and it's easier to just produce goods and pump their prices :D

What problem you have with docks? High maintenance costs or what exactly? Please do explain a bit more - feel free you write in your native language - I'll translate it if that makes it easier :)
Is it the same for ps4? I can't see where the it says whats going to down in price and whats going to go up in price. Am currently on world wars, do I have to wait until cold War to unlock work models?
I believe it is the same for PS4 as it is for PC ;) You have to have DLC, World War era and built Trade Institute - even without upgrade or unlocked work modes, when clicking on the building there is section Current Trends and Upcoming Trends.
Also work modes are not opening in Cold War, they are in the same are - you just need to research them. Upgrade is in Modern Times era, if that helps!
Mariss something wanna ask , is the trade building in every map or just the llama map ?
Thanks for the question! So the building itself is built by default (I think?) in Llama map, but with DLC it can be build in any map! ;)

Thanks - that I haven't heard yet before :D :) You just got me thinking..the Warehouse is given in free patch, BUT the Trade Institute is in DLC..! o.O That means..with new trade mechanism in the place..this is a pay to win they introduced a bit? :O
So..without DLC only source of price changes will be little announcements in top left corner..which will make less time for preparations and actually make Warehouse kind of obsolete..!

and there aren't any notifications about goods treding , i dunno

But still weird - in free update patch notes there is only Warehouse mentioned. And in DLC patch notes - only there is Trade Institute mentioned. Who put those patch notes together then? :D
@@MLMariss I dunno i can have the Trade Istitute but lack of trending goods , and yes i've people working in it ...i dunno is weird cause from your video you have the trending of goods but i don't maybe is DLC exclusive

Hmmm interesting - that building is not part of any DLC or anything, that should be in base game and available to everyone! I'm not familiar with PS4 controls (I'm on PC), but it should be under Industries, unlocks at Cold War (3rd era) and is between Furniture Factory and Plastics Plant - at least on PC, if that helps :)

I found it very disapointing to see how many unexplained things there are in this game. Poor statistics, unexplained mechanics, few data, poor reports, there is basically little information of everything, like. You know how the quality of the food is X but don't know what constitutes that calculateion. What's your produciton and consumption of each product? do all people consume the same? does a population of well-off citizens need the same to reach happiness as poor or rich? why are they capitalists or communists? It's the 6th delivery and it doesn't match games 20 years older. I'm surprised. I would have accepted that information weren't available until you build a government building that would take care of such analysis, but I found the buildings provide little to none insights of what they should. If all this I mention is avaiable and provided, then I blame the devs for hiding it or not showing it in a clear way
Agree on this - even when I have played it all side to side and made videos explaining it a bit more - even then I found a guy who commented on my videos with SO many extra information I didn't knew..as it was never ever written anywhere! Just experience and testing! o.O
Agreed! The lack of information makes the game look simple, but I don’t think it is.
Some of my plays I make heaps of money, others I go bankrupt, even on the same map.
Most of my decisions are not based on knowledge, but on hunches and assumptions, sometimes to disastrous results.
There are also myths abound on other UA-cam channels so be careful!
It might be better for you to edit your videos bro. I ended up turning off after 9 mins just because it was all over the place

Heh, that's the trick! It goes even lower than that! Later in video it goes under -59,000 and then right away +94,000 ;)
So with the logistics and warehouse there are trading (speculation) options available, so don't get fooled by amount of money I have right in pocket ;)
It's economy! do not put all your eggs in the same basket, that's economy 1-1. Diversify, you can make a lot of money and trading before WW, just make 1 or 2 of everything there is to make. If a price of something goes down you have the rest to keep money comming.
With one big IF you got lucky with variety of every type of farm soil AND if you can afford to make it all (at the start you can't build everything of course), but you are right - the more diverse economy you have, the less hit you will feel from price drops.. ;)
