Pure soul right there. Jimmy’s voice was made for this genre! His son Jackie is on drums. This song was first released by Jimmy in 1993, written by the legendary Don Walker from Cold Chisel. Great reaction ❤
The article that I've seen a couple of years ago said Jimmy who is the goat And the song was written for his wife was what I understood And yes I need a Jimmy's son played the drums in this song I did not know that his daughter was singing back up though Who I think is a fantastic singer that was kicked off the voice way too early
This was an elite master level performance by one of the absolute best blues guitarists on the planet in, Joe Bonamassa, every other musician and with living legend, Jimmy Barnes on vocals.
As you love this one so much I highly recommend an album Jimmy did of soul blues classics back in the day called Soul Deeper! It is magical his vocals with that inimitable grit and growl just brings every track to life. Prefect for a chill laid back arvo.😂❤
Not sure if you recognise him, but you have heard this singer before. He fronted cold chisel, you reacted to their live version of "Wild thing" and their live version of" bow river"; you both loved both tracks. Thanks for the reaction 👍
Two music legends making great soul music. Jimmy is 67 years old and still making great music. Just released a new album. His son was on drums and his daughter was singing backing vocals. Joe can make his guitar sing.
Brilliant song, performed flawlessly. Jimmy's gravely voice and Joe's singing guitar 2 legends being awesome sounding great together. The whole band perfection.
You made my day with this reaction. Jimmy sings this with soooo much soul. And this is just one example of his talent. Thanks too to Big Dog for asking for this reaction. I salute you Sir. 🎉🎉
The thing with Jimmy Barnes, is the power of hi voice... They literally have to tune the table down to let everything else come through. He is that loud and powerful. Guy is an extreme talent. Saw him perform at an outdoor area of a pub just north of Auckland New Zealand . Dudes voice nearly blew our eyebrows off...So good.
Jimmy Barnes' son on drums and daughter (Mahalia) is one of the backing vocalists. Mahalia is a backing singer also for Joe Bonnamassa's band. She has a magnificent voice in her own right, Check out "Riding with the Kings". Cheers from Australia.
Jimmy has had such a diverse 50 years in the business starting out as frontman for the iconic Australian band Cold Chisel a world class rock blues band that unfortunately the world never got to experience. Had a successful solo career from the late eighties until this day and is still so relevant. His children are all very talented singers with Mahalia singing as a backup artist to Joe Bonamassa and her duet with him on Riding with the Kings is amazing. Also Joe, Mahalia and Jimmy collaborated on the powerhouse Walking Up The Road.
Jimmy has still got it after all these years. His daughter Mahalia Barnes has some powerful pipes as well. Check out her songs " Ridin with the kings" and " Nasty Gal"
Thank you so much. This is one of those songs that just hits the heart. I love to watch reaction videos to it because it is such a powerful song. I watched one a couple of days ago and the guy watched it all the way through with hardly a muscle move in his face and then closed off comments by acknowledging it was good. It left me crushed. How can you listen to this and not be moved in your soul? So I was nervous when I saw you guys watching it because I love your reactions. You did not let me down. Your reaction restored my faith in humanity. I was smiling like a giddy school girl by the time I was finished watching. Awesome job - genuine reaction.
Jimmy Barnes one of the greatest. play any of his stuff you wont regret it. Scotsman living his best life in Australia. i live in New Zealand and taking my lady to see him in Perth Australia next month
I saw Jimmy last year on his Soul Deep tour and he’s still singing like this. I’ve been a huge Jimmy fan since I saw him in the mid-80’s on his Working Class Man tour. Check out some of his old stuff too. He’s an absolute legend!
You two are hilariously legit. Yep. My favourite, too. They did a Deep Purple tribute in this same session. Definitely worthwhile listening to, but this one takes the cake.
Haha great reaction to the man JB. Im Australian and watched him perform live with his daughters. Jimmy sounds live, like he does on albums. POWERHOUSE 💪 i was born in 87 i was raised listening to this man. You two legends would get on well here with us Aussies. We like good humans
First there was Stevie Ray Vaughn that blew me away and whom I was addicted to hearing play. I thought his death was the end of master level blues guitar playing. Then Joe came along and blew me away. It just so happened that Stevie is one of Joe’s idles.
Jimmy is an Australian icon!! And in the video clip for Stone Cold his son Jackie was in it, he was about 5 years old and now there is Jackie on drums🥁 Totally talented family
Glad to see such a great honest reaction to one my favourite songs . Jimmy does A version of sia’s chandelier worth checking out . SIA was supposed to perform it at an Aussie performers awards night . She had to cancel at short notice . So they asked jimmy if he would give it a go . Enjoy
Jimmy is Australian royalty and this video right here silences all the naysayers who claim Jimmy can’t sing he only yells. Fun fact that is Jimmy’s youngest son Jackie on the drums. Loved this reaction guys 👍🏻👍🏻
I had the pleasure of seeing Jimmy Barnes some years ago at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. The guy was incredible. Made it better as Australia were playing England at cricket in the UK and half the audience were Ozzy nutters. You should check out Good Times with Keith Urban from the same passion as this song. A point of interest, Jimmy's son is on drums. 🤘
gday wolf hunterz his song really grabs you by the booboo don't it give em hell jimmy one of his best songs imo. Now you have found mr barnes "cold chisel "is the band he was with you might want to check out some of their songs i hope it brings your ear holes as much pleasure as they can stand like it did mine keep em coming thanks
Jimmy is from my hometown and I am so used to hearing him I forget just how incredible he is. You should listen to the duet between Jim and John Farnham..'When something is wrong with my baby'. Whoa.
As Andy all ready stated, you have reacted to Jimmy Barnes in his younger days, 1983 “ Wild Thing”..... the feral who joins the audience, almost has his shirt ripped off then almost has a fight while singing...... and then stumbles back on stage for a brilliant finale with guitarist / vocalist Ian Moss..... you also reacted to them doing Bow River with Ian Moss on lead vocals and Jimmy doing all the back up vocals, including the “ female” high backing at the start. lol Do yourselves a favour...... react to Jimmy’s bluesy soul duet with John Farnham, a cover of Sam n Dave’s When Something Is Wrong with My Baby..... live of course. Also Jimmy’s duet with Tina Turner..... Simply The Best.
Jimmy was in his 50s in this You need to watch this one by them Jimmy barnes and Joe bonamassa lazy The musician's are top notch smooth as cream and Jimmy the cherry on top Cheers guys 🦘🇦🇺👍

The only one I can think of that you might like as much if not more than this is 'when something is wrong with my baby' feat John Farnham...two amazing vocalists singing a duet, it''s a masterpiece!
So cool that Jimmy’s son Jackie is on drums and way back when ‘Stone Cold’ was released in the ‘90s, Jackie was in the video clip when he was about 6 years old. If you haven’t seen him in action you definitely should, Jackie is an absolute powerhouse on the drums and a talented pianist. Music is definitely ingrained in the Barnes family 🥁 🎶
Another great australian artist and has been doing it for over 50 years. I grew up with jimmy and john farnham two greatest of all times singers i might be a bit bias but you only have to listen and hear their range and with joe on the guitar just brilliant, and the horns are just the gravy on top 👍😎😃🇭🇲🦘
I’m back for a second viewing of your reaction lol. I’ve never seen either of you react like that - you both felt ever lyric and every note. I was laughing, not at you, just totally enjoying your reaction and the swooning and baby talk , loved it lol. If you both have a baby and it’s a boy, ya gotta call him Jo, Jimmy, James or Barnes 😂, because it’s all their fault lol. It’s even more fun watching your reaction the second time 😂👍 Someone’s gotta show Jimmy this one lol 😊
I had dinner with jimmy in 1997, he opened the hard rock cafe in surfers paradise Australia. He's a dude and back then his kids had a band called the tin lids. Wow I feel old, haha
Jimmy's daughter Mahalia has done a lot of backing vocals and a few duets with Joe Bonamassa to. Check out Rolling with the King for an example of her talents.

Awesome reaction guys. Glad you enjoyed it. Couldn't get any better. Joe's amazing guitar and well it's Jimmy Barnes!!!

The backing vocals is likely his daughter Mahalia. You should look for some of her videos. She's amazing.
