My idol from the Amiga years! Your game soundtracks are forever etched in my memory. Google them! I hope he does a remaster of his work like Chris Huelsbeck did.

@madmomentsgo he talks about working in the Leeds area, granted there's few pictures of him when he was young but the similarity is kinda there. Maybe he aged poorly.

@@clothcatgyatmusicsessionsl8735 This is an interview I found on the tube of him back in 2001. The similarities are kinda there:
ua-cam.com/video/iFH5vS1EqNs/v-deo.html (his interview starts at about 1:50). Then again perhaps you're right and it's a case of mistaken identity, I've found another composer named David Whitaker but he died in 2012...

@@clothcatgyatmusicsessionsl8735 Yup! I was googling the name and another composer popped up. I rewatched the 2001 interview and I'm not sure this David Withaker (not Whittaker) is the same composer of so many memorable Amiga music! Thanks for the updates and perhaps you'll solve this little "mistery" :D

No this isn't the David Whittaker we knows from the Amiga/C64/ST games in 80/90's ! It's another composer who's working in film music industry ! Not the same guy...and this guy is named David '"Whitaker" and not "Whittaker" !

David Whittaker, prolific on Amiga, but not necessarily for good reasons. Loved his music for Shadow of the Beast, loved Speedball as well.....sadly, didnt like nor appreciate him using virtually the same samples he used in Speedball and Xenon in over 20+ bits of music and they all kind of sounded like variations on other pieces he had done on Amiga. Most of his music seemed to follow the same footprint. Play a repetitive section for 20 seconds, change it slightly and play that for another 20 seconds, change slightly again and repeat over and over.
Whilst David was highly regarded on c64, there is a reason he got less and less work on Amiga, because he had been surpassed by musicians that were not "phoning it in" like he was doing.
He was instrumental in being around the Bitmap Brothers and Psygnosis in the early days, but got replaced.
Will always be thankful for Beast, but not the stuff he clearly spent 10minutes knocking up, which sadly was most of his Amiga output.
