Tons of people just want the ability to purchase the car and have it fixed and ready to be registered to the dmv but having to find a shop to fix the issues after buying from auction is a headache. Hopefully one day there will be a way to buy from auction and have repairs done all in part of the purchase ✅
It absolutely still is worth it. There is no better charging network convenient to Tesla's like that supercharger network. I literally just had the same exact damage to my front left of my car and am still waiting on the estimate for repairs... it may be salvaged title. But this video gives me hope now!

Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against Tesla for this. Tesla opened its supercharger to other brands and they will not know if those cars are repaired properly while accessing charging.
That's not Tesla's fault, that will be the Repair shops fault or the owner

@@khan209i how do you damage it? they have sensors, and it will not charge if something is wrong. Besides, any EV can catch on fire.

I know a guy from Ukraine who just hacks the config file of your Tesla remotely for 100$ and it allows you to charge on 3d party chargers.

They should give that test a credit for free supercharging. They have no idea what they are doing to their network and customers when they do this. I can see if there was a certain amount of damage etc, mine was not salvage at all but banned after the insurance auction processed it.
All you gotta do is get it inspected then they will give you acces to use supper chargers

..... I hate Fluff scamming. Honestly the only reason it'd take more than 30 min. is if they did a tear down of the Vehicle to check the state of the power lines. the same way they can disable the supercharging the same way they can run service check and reenable the supercharging on the car.

One question, if your Tesla has a salvage title, only the supercharger is deactivated or maybe the autopilot?
The problem is that ad a corporation they could change their policy anytime and I might be stuck with a Tesla. THE NEXT BIG ISSUE WOULD BE, HOW HARD WAS TO GET PARTS FROM TESLA?. THEY NORMALLY ONLY ALLOW REPAIRS IN THEIR CENTERS

It’s a no brainer to get the test done if you own a salvaged/rebuilt Tesla. Just hope it passes inspection. I almost brought a salvaged MY and I’m glad I didn’t.
Great video! My insurance company was forced to total my car after the certified Tesla repair shop in Whittier, CA refused to fix a minor dent in the rear quarter panel, claiming it had to be replaced. But they were fine charging $7,200 in "disassembly" fees. Then charged me $7,000 for the 27 days it sat there NOT being worked on....can anyone recommend a good auto lawyer in SoCal?

Been watching a vehicle for weeks(2000 Sentra) w/ unknown damage(run drive) from Gillman Honda. It looks immaculate and I saw the engine vid from IAA. Pre-bids been zero and pure sale and its running through auction again. I keep scrathing my head wondering why no one has bit yet. I keep wondering what Gillman was thinking selling it to IAA
1200$ for something that shouldn’t be disabled in the first place is absolutely insane. Cars from other brands that Tesla can’t verified whether or not have been fixed properly can charge. They are effectively just giving their own customers a worse experience than the competition.

That location in the Gables is a rip off. They try to charge you for things you don't need man. I go there to have a panel along the back window looked at that appeared to be a bit misaligned. And they told me it would take a week and would be $275. But I bought the car NEW 3 days prior and didn't noticed this until putting groceries in back seat. So I took it to Tesla in fort Lauderdale on Federal highway and they look at it fixed it for FREE. And told me I wasn't supposed to be charged. NEVER GO TO THE CORAL GABLES LOCATION.

@@sinarohani9337 Model 3 and Model S can be done by Tesla with an appointment and Yes sometimes it might take a few days ) Model X and Y still not in the list! One One thing @AutoHacker Lied about .... it will be PayAper Use not Free!!! even if it was old model S with lifetime supercharger as soon as it end up in Tesla service Free supercharger will be disabled ;) ANd Yes he didn't know or forgot to tell about DC and other type of charging stations for a Long Trips ;) I done it on my Model Y with CCS and it is 0 problem to do Long trips )))))
@@lopanton007Your Model Y was manufactured with a CCS capability that started in 2021. His 2017 Model S was not. Model S and X salvage owners would need to Install the CCS Retrofit themselves and then find someone that can enable that new hardware as Tesla will not do that work on a salvaged vehicle without this inspection or if your vehicle fails the inspection for battery dents like mine.
That's some bullshit. If you make an appointment, they need to be ready to work on it then and there.

they don't you take the car there and they keep it even if they don't start working on it, even for a small issue, I took it in the morning and I was gonna wait, but they said to come at the end of the day.

Why is my suppercharge are not free?, and I don't know how is the people at service at the TESLA service at your place, bur here in Oregon, they are so mean to the people, I am so not happy with the Tesla customer service, it is terrible, so mean to the customer, I wish I never bought a Tesla, I have a Mersedes , whn I got to service my car, they are happy people smile, asking questing, but here at Tesla, Portland,OR and Tigard,OR ohhh terrible, even my wife stoped by at their place, and she said ,let give that tesla back to them, because of customer service
free supercharge was giving in 2016-2018 for all Performance models. I agree Tesla's service is not very friendly oriented, my whole service experience was not good, but this inspection could only be done by Tesla, so no other choice.
