P85D was "top of the line" D meant dual motor.(front & rear motors)

  • @jimmcdonald7758

me personally i couldnt see spending 7800 on a car with 300k miles on it

  • @ax5engineering950

Almost 300k miles or not... A working/driving Tesla for under $8k is an awesome deal. I'd be interested in seeing how long this car could last and how it does on road trips!

  • @jeffselin5340

Wow with 300k someone made sure to change the oil on time!

  • @jasoningram9928

Randy, you might want to check under the rear cargo floor panel for a charger too.

Hey Randy! Not sure if you knew this but teslas have a service mode. To use it , go to the software menu, then press and hold on the model designation (Model S P85). When a prompt box comes up, type in service. Then you should be good to use it! To exit it there should be a red box somewhere (not sure where exactly so I’m mentioning it lol.)

Hey Randy sorry to bring this up to you of you haven't figured it out yet, but Tesla would have wiped the free supercharging when it hit their trade in inventory. Hope I'm wrong but a very good indicator of this is your premium connectivity expires not free either.

You got one hell of a steal. Congrats. Reminds me of when I got my 2012 Prius with only 70k miles for $8k back in 2018. Here it is 2024 and I can sell that same car with 95k miles for over $10k. The whole reason I buy used is because I expect a car to lose a lot of value very quickly. But instead it went up! What a crazy world. Never would happen if you buy a new car though.

  • @mazda9624

Wow what a deal! You’re living the dream right now! I knew Teslas would finally hit their “old enough to be a cheap used car” phase, but I didn’t think it would be so soon!

Really excited to follow your progress on the Tesla, looking forward to this series.I am just burned out on gas powered vehicles,my 2020 Honda every time I take it in for work,it’s not covered by warranty.

Happy new year Randy. Really hope that this year is good for you and the channel 🎉❤

I miss the Plymouth you had. I can’t wait for the motor swap and the work that’s gonna be put into the Monte Carlo. Your content is great Randy.

  • @yoohanjr

The frunk issues are also a reoccurring thing with my tesla and I have around 140 miles on my Tesla Model's long-range 2014, I wasn't sure until you showed me. Thanks, also great work on finding such a nice purchase.

I love your wide range of cars/trucks! Keep up the great videos in 2024! 👍

  • @travellingslim

I'm late to this video but seeing a non expired New Hampshire inspection sticker is a pretty good sign. In NH, you have to get your car inspected yearly and it's not just emissions or a rubber stamp. They have an entire checklist to make sure the car is roadworthy

  • @2003cobramustang

I seen this earlier Randy. So impressed this Tesla has that many miles and looks good. Hope the blower motor isn’t hard to replace. Super charging free for life that’s awesome!

  • @vognmandpedersen8144

Best video in a LONG time!! Looking forward to your race with MWM!

Hey Randy, just wanted to let you know that I just saw your video on the Tesla. I can’t wait to see more content on Tesla. I just wanted to say hi to you and tell you I watched your video. Can’t wait to see your next video whatever you got planned either on the Tesla or any of your other vehicles I hope you’re having a good day and I’ll talk to you soon.
