Umm...I am sure everyone is aware of the news that the Navy might procure 26 Rafale-Ms. Interestingly the overall empty weight of the aircraft is 10 Tonnes, And here we are developing a force multiplayer for our Tri-Services whose production model might weigh close to 15 Tonnes. Also the Wing Span of Rafale-M is 10.9 M and certainly the Ghatak at its final version will be close to that...Maza aney vala hai😌🥹

As per my opinion small drones are more useful in a day today as well as war situations provided they are very cheap and can carry a minimum loads of as small as hand grenade and maximum as an anti tank device which could directly hit with suicidal attacks

Great show this one. Almost an aerodynamics class, if I had known it before would have joined live and ask some questions.
On the point of reduced scale model, in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and heat transfer, there are something called "non-dimensional" numbers. For example Reynolds number (Re) = rho*V*D/mu.. the models are scaled down or up keeping the non-dimensional numbers same the original design. This helps confirming aerodynamic characteristics (and possibly control characteristics), so the dimensions may or may not be scaled uniformly in all directions.....

Fighter planes and choppers are being complimented by drones of various capabilities.
Countries under lot of sanctions like Iran and other countries with smaller R & D budget have made great progress and are much ahead of us..

Thank YOU Aadi for introducing DRDO's Ghatak, which bears a striking resemblance to the US Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit stealth bomber powered by NPO Saturn 36MT, which I believe is manufactured by NPO Saturn Russia, Do we have a TOT arrangement with our Russian counterpart? As the Nirbhay cruise missile is powered by the same Engine!

There are devices like boundary layer blowing and boundary layer suction, primarily employed to reenergise the flow over the wing ! Thanks
Details are quite fuzzy to be honest. These specifications are unrealistic by all means.
The Thrust of Dry Kaveri is somewhere around 50kN. With the thrust of F404 49kN Dry and 85kN Wet, even Tejas with a weight of around 13.5MTOW had a hard time reaching Mach 1.6 .
So, an unmanned vehicle with such configuration, extra drag and more weight, will have a hard time attaining those specs. The weight needs to be kept closed to full load.
Indian Army had used Searcher MK1 in kargil wars with GCS range of 160 km only and after their success we have been seriously looking into UAVs

Sir why India is not able to produce its own indigenous engine for Tejas when ISRO can make cryogenic engine ...why drdo has lagged behind. Why India lags behind in fighter engine making despite exposure all Russian, French, English and American engine all these years...
Jet engines r tougher to master than rocket engines. Also in isro ppl r more dedicated than DRDO. And Pre 2014 all govts defence ppl which involves lot of middlemen for foreign vendors made sure we buy everything and DRDO remains a defunct organisation. Drdo never got enough funding or motivation for product development. All funds diverted to buy foreign equipments

How can American Airforce who has more money than us can work/manage with Single Fighter Aircraft F16 whereas Indian Airforce who is poor must have 4-6 types of Fighter Aircrafts?

However, they keep a single Fighter aircraft as a backbone and other Fighter aircraft in complementary roles.
For example:
1. USA Marine: [F18 + F35]: 100% of Figher aircrafts.
2. USA Navy: [F18 + F35]: approx 95%. Rest are used as aggressors.
3. USA Airforce: [F16 + F35]: 62.68%
Please note that I’m using [F18 + F35] and [F16 + F35] as terminology because the USA is planning to replace F16 and F18 with F35.
But in the case of the Indian Armed Forces, the distribution looks like this:
1. Indian Navy: MIG29: 100%
2. Indian Airforce:
1. Sukhoi Su-30MKI: 39.76%
2. SEPECAT Jaguar: 24.46%
3. MiG-29: 11.47%
4. Mirage 2000: 7.65%
5. MiG-21: 6.12%
6. HAL Tejas: 5.05%
7. Dassault Rafale: 5.5%
Comparing USA Airfirce to the Indian Airforce.
The USA Airforce utilizes four types of Aircraft Fighters: F15, F16, F22 and F35. Out of which, F16 and F35(replacement of F16) is their backbone. Also, they have plans to move to two types of Aircraft Fighters F35 and NGAD(replacement of F22).
The Indian Airforce uses a whopping seven types of Aircraft fighters. None of the fighters can be called backbone and is more than 50% in quantity. Also, IA plans to move to four Aircraft fighters.
So, sir, my question is would the spread-out distribution of Aircraft fighters in the Indian Armed forces not cause a logistical nightmare? Would it not hamper the economy of scale?
Should we not try to reduce the variety to achieve easier logistics and economies of scale that can help us achieve a large number of Fighter aircraft?

Government apni galti ko sudar kar Russia ke Sath jointly weapons manufacturing kare, jointly technology develop kare. 5th generation fighter jet mein Russia ke Sath fir se collaboration Kare Bharat.
