Let us all be grateful for this wonderful cuisine representation ...it s an honor to showcase Filipino Foods....Thank u Nicole...& to this show...for highlighting this part of our culture....Mabuhay and more power🎈💓💓💓💓🇵🇭
they showcase FAKENESS and that is sad. WHy PRETEND that the boodle fight is REAL. What is the FILIPINO word for boodle fight???? that is actually very UNHYGENIC.... and FILIPINOS wont even eat on the same plate with people, why should they care about boodle fights.
@@eduardochavacano Yeah, it's sad. I'm sad for you.
Damn why can't my city have that restaurant. Please bring this over. I will eat there every day lol
The best food in the world..., filipino traditional way, and fast food, enjoy every moment...make you feel good..
The most eco friendly way of eating!
They use banana leaves instead of reusable plates.. hows that eco friendly?
@@GG-zk7le ??? Banana leaves are more eco friendly than reusable plates, can be used to make manure by the process of composting. Also contain large amounts of polyphenols that are natural antioxidants, the food absorbs the polyphenols which helps to prevent many lifestyle diseases.
@@sooyoung_parkjoyreveluv4518 soo killing trees is eco friendly than leaving them alone? Coz you can use plates?
@@GG-zk7le banana trees are common here in the Philippines because they literally grow almost everywhere easily and they reproduce their leaves like crazy
@@GG-zk7le banana is not a tree. Its a fruit .🤦
It's people like you that make us Filipinos proud of ourselves. Congratulations and Mabuhay!

The whole thing was Fake! They should have been more real!
@@eduardochavacano "the whole thing is Fake, not "F" it's "P" like pake haha
Napaka common neto sa Pilipinas. Actually in the Philippines we call it "Boodle Fight/Budol-Budol (in other provinces)" and the way of eating without utensils is Kinamay/Mag-Kamay(Tagalog)/Kinamot(Cebuano/Visayan), etc. and it is a common practice. I never heard locals in the Philippines call "Boodle Fight", Kamayan, because it's grammatically incorrect to use this in this tradition and in Tagalog language it basically means "Shake Hands", I think this term to is only used by Fil-Ams in United States.
I'm very impressed how they present the budol-budol fight.
Doesn't matter if we're asians or pacific islanders... As long as we have our own identity as a Nation....
"Kamayan" is a native tradition of bonding for us especially that we come from different tribes..There is an unwritten rule in our country that says "you eat and drink with me, and you will be my brother forever." The "boodle fight" is one symbol of equality. By the way, the dad of the owner eating like that in view of her american friends (that made her felt embarrassed) showed patriotism. Kudos to the old fella, he did not forget.
You had to try so hard to make it interesting! Sad for Filipinos! Trying to have something interesting to tell the white man.
@@eduardochavacano it was not for the white man's interest but for the owner that the info was directed bro. peace.
@@enricocaccam2317 GENERALLY SPEAKING, the BOODLE FIGHT mythology was stuff for the WIDE EYED and Perky WHITE tourist from SMALLVILLE USA and the likes.
Duly noted..
@@eduardochavacano and why do you even fn care? Triggered much? lol
Isn't eating with your hands a basic human instinct?. Early civilizations eat with nothing but hands. Even babies eat with their hands.
i thought early civilizations use telekinesis when eating..
Thats not true
I think you confuse culture and the word civilization!
@@eduardochavacano yes, maybe i did
@@cindymananzalamartinez6679 At least you are humble, that is very rare. And for that allow me to share, so you can pass on, culture is a way of life, even animals have a Culture. Civilization is a bigger word. I wont even attempt to define, because I'm sure you got the picture.
Mabuhay Jeepney Restaurant! Eating on top of banana leaves with all the mouth watering foods is one of the best experiences of my life!
you're lucky you didn't get dysentery from that nasty layout. btw...this is not traditional filipino dining, bitch. it's a ploy to get white people into the restaurant. the fad will die as people get diarrhea from this unsanitary practice.
@@J3unG I get it. You're still in the Bubble..

Our first parents eat with their hands. That is Gods way.
My parents too ate their hands 😄
@@hussainshahadath5331 your parents ate their hands? So your parents are so hungry that they ate their hands?
its typical in the philippines that when a group go to the beach they eat in a kamayan way with a beer then they just pick and pick eat then dive in the beach and the process is repeated and repeated again and again until the food will be emptied
That bbq is mouthwatering..but the traditional filipino bbq is grilled on coal fire so you get that smoky taste...
THEY ARE NOT GRILLED IN COAL FIRE.... and be informed BBQ are not unique, even people in MARS and Jupiter GRILL food. COAL cost more than PORK in the Philippines, nobody grills BBQ in coal. You probably mean CHARCOAL and there is a universe of difference. But you are right to point out, that it aint AUTHENTIC BBQ when it wasnt even smoked,
I love watching you eating Filipino Foods. Bravo fr, Manila.
you'll never find such food in Manila.
Uhhh actually Filipinos have been eating by hand before we were colonized by Spain. Most Filipinos stopped using hands when the Spaniards introduced utensils (if Im not mistaken) but we never lost it over the centuries and was introduced it again in the public thru Boddle Fight of the military.
Now I'm hungry. Demmit.
That's the true style of Filipino eating, bcoz when you use hands, you can eat as many as you want
That's why we're good in cooking✌️
Wow!!! Filipino Foods are the best!!! Yummy!!! 😍🇵🇭👏😋😋😋
May kulang! Kulang ng langaw at fly swatter. Haha
Hahahahaha taena oo nga

The plating is excellent and inviting. Normally we put rice mountain in the middle and then viand around. I think we'll try being more creative with the presentation. Great vid. Thanks.
Aghhh .. this makes me hungry .. nothing like that here in kenya, africa
Food looks great! Although i have to disagree with the use of vinegar in Filipino food, it’s primarily to counteract the richness/fattiness in our food. Bagoong or shrimp paste - yes, to season the food, instead of using salt.
I see a lot of vids like this talking about Filipino food eaten by hands (fingers, really). One must remember that the country has always had and still has some sort of a class system. Not everyone eat like this on normal day to day meals; “Kamayan” is not practiced by all Filipinos on a daily basis. What is more universally Filipino in my opinion is eating with the fork on the left and a spoon on the right. Many SEA countries eat this way. But I guess showing kamayan makes for a better story. Growing up kamayan is practiced when eating seafood, but not a requirement. Much like fried chicken and pizzas, eating with hands/fingers but it doesn’t mean that westerners eat without utensils at all times.
PS: when handling shrimp, you use both your hands. I’ve never seen anyone else use just one hand.
Fact: "Jeepney" is not a made-up name. It's named after the Philippines' most popular, iconic, and affordable mode of transportation.
The term Jeepney is coming from a small US military vehicle rooming all over the Philippines during WWII .
@@goreobasurero7848 yeah, now it's part of Filipino culture, and they all look different throughout the years, from the faces, the sizes, and the features. Jeepneys nowadays have high beats, racing features, and sometimes being riced up, and they look less like a Willys. In other places, jeepneys became ginormus, some with mud chians, giant tires, and sometimes 4x4. Sadly, half of the jeepneys were replaced by minibuses that look nothing like a jeep, because I was expecting that the true modern jeepneys were supposed to be Jeep Wrangler lookalikes.
The boodle fight to eat start at the beach in the Philippines when family get together in beach or swimming pool have banana lives a mother who cook they forgot the plate spoon soo they put banana live in table and rice on center menu fried chicken bbq sisling fish lechon kawali adobo and the side are water drink and softdrinks the family soo happy 😊 they see even quest in that beach 🏖️ thats the story of boodle fight in the Philippines

Its just like eating sushi but with you hands and you customize it your way.
