The switch of emotion from pure celebration to pure horror on the penguins face when the Batmobile jumps through the inferno is perfection.
The reaction is so perfect, it's meme worthy 😂
He’s a very dramatic and emotional penguin 🐧

Just like a bat out of hell.
Tell me about it. This whole scene was just… *chef’s kiss*
Hearing that batmobile's engine roar in the theater left me with chills, especially the introduction when it was revving up.
Is very spectacullar that scene in one black theater with the two spaces darker on it
the first time i was watching the movie it was so amazing till that point that I've totally forgot about the batmobile...then out of nowhere the engine starts roaring....chilllllls
I like the roaring V8 mixed with the jet engine sound.
I watched in XD the theater was for real shaking
@@dbsti3006 what you are hearing are the turbo chargers (basically a device that creates more engine power) which create a whistling sound like a jet engine would
I feel really bad for people who didn’t see this amazing scene in theatres
Yeah this movie was awsome and even better in theatres
I’m kinda mad that I can’t see this movie in theaters again. I saw it twice and am sad that’s all I’m gonna get. Watching on a tv screen at home just isn’t the same.

The most iconic scene but you cut the best part him walking
Exactly right... i was watching this video only for that they cut that off. .
I think they cut the best part, the Batmobile reveal with the engine revving.
I subconsciously sang “Then he waddled away waddle waddle” when that scene came up cause it really made me crack up
...OH LMFAO
This gives me mad max vibes I love it
I absolutely love how ear-splittingly loud the batmobile engine was in theaters, such an awesome scene, the music makes it a thousand times better 🔥
Fast and Furious is ok but this is better. The chase is totally realistic and shot from street level so it feels real instead of like
a videogame
The advancements in special effects really impressed me on this scene. They took the Volume screen virtual sets from the Mandalorian and found a way to use them for vehicle chases. Gone are the days when you'd see characters driving in a car with a very obvious green screen projection behind them. The behind the scenes videos on this scene are really worth watching.
The idea came from Greig Fraser's difficulties when he was shooting 'Rogue One' and the ILM developed that idea into the StageCraft.
And then, Fraser himself gets to use it for this film.
They did shoot this chase on a fake highway as well
And the CGI and VFX Work in this Scene is Incredible WETA Made so much digital Rain and splashes for this Scene because many scenes where also Shot on a dry plate
Thanks for the insight! Details like this often aren’t something the general public is aware of but I personally really enjoy learning about them.
This chase is the close second for the film's signature scene. It perfectly showcases two Batman staples: the awe-inspiring gadgets, and his superhuman determination. Just like that, Penguin learned to fear both.
Don't make jokes please
Snyder & the Tank Batmobile would of went through the oncoming 18wheeler
easily one of the best sequence from the movie
Too bad it amounts to nothing.

I had the biggest smile on my face during this entire scene in the theater. This movie is more than a movie, it’s an experience
God this scene was just so beautiful it was freakishly load in the theaters
Just love how almost all the shots are mounted on the vehicles. Really makes you feel like you are experiencing it yourself. Once again incredible directing and cinematography from Matt Reeves and Greig Fraser
This chase scene feels really realistic... We can see both Batman and penguin slightly struggling when they are in opposite lane... Usually in other movies it showed like it's a easy peasy for the character.
Eso fue porque lo filmaron de verdad sin nada de efectos especiales. Sin duda Matt Reeves se lució con esta película fue una experiencia epica en cines
The rain chase sequence reminded me of Roger Deakins for his work in "Prisoners".
But i cant believe that the cinematography of Greig Fraser is absolutely terrific. He deserves more recognition after his works in "Lion", "Rogue One" and "Dune"
2:43 that shot with the scream of the engine is just 👌🏻
Yeah everyone’s gushing about the obvious “Batman walking in front of fire” applause moment, but all the shots of the car up close in motion are faaaar superior, like early on when the camera is by the wheel as he drifts back on track after the penguin tries giving him the slip.
@@MrDash711 yes! 0:17
3:50 that shot of the Batmobile jumping out of the fireball literally like a bat out of hell is EPIC beyond compare.
on some arkham knight stuff
A masterclass of direction. That shot with the back tires from the batmobile stopping and the penguin car flipping is genius
I just wonder how hard the Batmobile hit the Penguin's car to get it to flip like that.
one of the best scenes in the whole movie

This batman is relentless in pursuing justice.
Penguin Summed him up perfectly “this guy is crazy!” lol
the action and the background music, simply perfect!!!!!!!!! love colin farrell as penguin. robert pattinson did an amazing job as the batman.
Because is a car chase isnt it ?
And because is darker like the night , the car lights , and sinister mariachi trumpets in colin farrells penguin
WHEN I SAW THIS SCENE IN THEATERS I WAS SMILING WITH A JAW DROP!!!!!!!!!!!
I felt like a kid. I was gripping my parents arms so tight when the Batmobile engine started roaring and getting revved up for the first time
In my theatre, everyone started clapping and cheering😂👏🏽
They need to put The Batman back in theaters for a week I wanna experience this chase scene again on the big screen
Right. Watching this movie on my tv just isn’t the same.
The Penguin “I gotchu!!!! I gotchu!!!”
The Bat outta hell “Nope…”

In those movies , when the chase is very bigger the trumpets of the composer go very stronger
PRACTICAL EFFECTS BEFORE CGI
That's my motto
I’m not into cars at all but even I get aroused by the sound of the Batmobile at 2:44.
The music also deserves some love too.
3:54 this moment was the best
I’ve rewatched this multiple times, but I love this shot at 1:15 with the almost comical look they give each other.
I feel like people don't give this movie credit for the subtle moments of humor like this lol
Robert Pattinson did such a better job than Batfleck!
Batfleck just plain sucks, very poor execution with that one. Ben was trying way too hard being edgy. Rob did an excellent job, def an Oscar-worthy performance in my book!
Affleck was a bright spot in BvS. The writing of his character is what failed him.
I thought they both did a good job.
*Bale
BATTINSON.
The music where Batman ramps out the Explosion and Penguin's reaction is actually pretty scary/nerve-wrecking.
Favorite on this chase is how robert eye movement make batman expression look so realistic and unique compare to other movie
If the Batmobile is already this terrifying, imagine the Batwing.
That scene was so epic when I saw it in theaters
0:37 Batman playing bumper cars with penguins car is so funny
I think since that moment he was trying to flip Penguin's car but that didn't work
I really loved this scene gave me ABSOLUTE CHILLS definitely wouldn't want to be in penguins position 🤣🤣🤣😂
4:07 shows the importance of seat belt.
When I saw this in theatres the whole theatre shook when the batmobile made its entrance. This movie has become my new favorite Batman movie.

@@shimrrajamaane4072 You life? I agree
Seeing the behind the scenes of how this chase scene was created makes it even more incredible for me Matt Reeves put so much effort and love into this scene and it shows from the camera angles to the score the sound design everything is phenomenal
Fun fact.. according to the director the first inspiration for this scene was taken from the 1994 move “The Crow” starring the late Brandon Lee. When he’s in T birds car and the police are chasing them.
That’s dope
The Batmobile was perfect, it’s not too heavily armed, not too goofy, and just enough to make you say “Oh Crap” when it shows up.
It is the most ridiculous batmobile, it is an ordinary car, it has a super engine and it is still difficult for him to catch up with the penguin.
@@shimrrajamaane4072 L opinion L guy
@@shimrrajamaane4072 Even though I am not a car guy the term "super engine" hurts my soul a bit. Also, yes, the batmobile has been a car ever since it was introduced originally, and the deviations are whenever a comic writer or director turns it into a tank. I would also question if you comprehended the chase at all. You do realize that batman had to avoid on-coming traffic, right? Thats a problem penguin didn't have as he didn't care.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the prosthetic work they did on Colin Farrell’s face? Like damn 👍
You know...I can understand why people are scared of Batman now...
That walk is Darth Vader meets the Terminator, the score playing is the cherry on top. One of the best car chase scenes ever
I love how The Batmobile is just a bulky car, I really like how the Batman is more realistic than the other Batman films
I think the Tumbler (Nolan) or Affleck Batmobile is more Bulky than this one.
As far as car chases in movies go, this one is 'probably' going to be considered of the best. And the change of expression on The Penguin's face when he thought that Batman was dead to realizing that he isn't is among one of my favorite moments from this movie. Also, Batman walking towards a 'capsized' Penguin while it's heavily raining and blazing fire is behind him almost looks like something from a western film.
I think Michael Giacchino might have realized that too, if you notice he put an electric guitar in the score there lol.
BEST SCENE OF THE MOVIE🔥🔥🙌
The music stops once Penguins car is slamming onto the road in a roll. Simple things like that add a lot to the scene.
This soundtrack fits this scene perfectly… goosebumps
One of the best scenes of the year. An absolutely excellent moment. One of the best moments in movies from 2022
Cinematic masterpiece!!
And Batman is still in his year 2 here. Just imagine what's gonna happen in the second movie...
if in 2 years he is still a rookie I don't think he will ever change
@@shimrrajamaane4072 he will lol. idk what you mean
@@shimrrajamaane4072 you forget that what he’s doing has zero routine/predictability and there is only so much wiggle room to get better, riddler is the first actual serial killer he faces and he essentially loses but now he has room to grow with even worse villains down the line
There are reasons why people should watch this movie in theaters back then. One of them is this.
The cinematography at 1:52 is fantastic. It makes the viewer feel like they are part of this chase as well.
I'm so glad that the batmobile is back to being a car again. I was getting so sick and tired of it beng a tank. Thank you, Matt Reeves
The sound of the engine alone gave me chills.
This chase was a freaking masterpiece!!
Yes!! We finally got the epic walkaway from the Batmobile. I'm so proud of how they released almost the entire scene here.
Btw am I really the first comment? No one else is here...
I struggle to put into words just how good this scene is.
The reason I love this part is because normally in a chase scene it's clear and not chaotic but now In this it's night time and there are trucks flipping and making hills on each other
Cmon man… why’d you cut out the walking part? Batman slowly walking to the penguin as the penguin sits in the wreck of an upside car, while the theme gets more and more intense is the epitome of badassery I want to see in a superhero movie
that's the worst part, while walking slowly the penguin's car can explode, also the song is stolen from starwars

Best Robert Pattinson movie ever. And one of my favorite scene in the new Batman movie for the car chase scene.
Music is awesome! The brake drum sound with Batman's intensely focused look...perfect. Sounds like...there is no stopping this train-of-a -man.

The moment this car chase scene started when me and my wofe watched in cinema, it literally gave me goosebumps.
I never thought this movie would be great, until I decided to watch it.
Really a shame this movie started falling apart about 3/4 of the way through. The first part is excellent. Best batmobile of all time
last shot is haunting. whole scene was one of the best in theatres i've ever seen
The scene that really gave you chills when you saw him go through those flames. Especially the legacy he was creating, and how it was growing on everyone in Gotham. By far the greatest Batman movie ever, and by far the most realistic and modern one as well. If I were to rank this, it would definitely be ranked first out of all of them. Going to keep things short and simple, and not try to spoil it for anyone that hasn't watched it yet as it only came out this year but I watched this on Christmas and fully on the 26th just like every year when my brother and I pick out a movie to watch on Christmas since its always been a tradition of ours. Like this is honestly such a masterpiece, there's no flaw with it. It's the most realistic version of the actual storyline version of Batman that they were able to portray properly, realistic, and accurately. The movie literally tells us the actual story of "Batman"/"Bruce" storyline from how it began and how his legacy started out as well as grew from a very different perspective in comparison to all the other Batman movies. Like even the cast were amazing, especially Pattinson where he successfully managed to depict both Bruce as well as Batman perfectly well, same thing with the rest of the cast, like Carmine who was played so well, same thing with Catwoman especially the riddler. Even the Batman and Commissioner duo was amazing, and one to watch. Goodcop, and batcop. Such an amazing soundtrack, a perfect, realistic, modern storyline that fits in with today and isn't overreached, or unrealistic, great cast with amazing potrayls of there characters that had no flaw, great effects, and emotion. Like you would always be on edge, and on your seat thinking as well as wondering what was going to happen next. You were literally focused on the movie at all times, esepcially with the amazing detail of the storyline that they nailed, and the attention in detail. Its literally a masterpiece and such an unforgettable movie, theres honestly no flaw with it and is one of my most favorite movies that I've ever watched on Christmas with my twin brother who never fails with his picks. Truly worth it, as well as a must watch if you wish to understand it or to see for yourself. Honestly can't wait for its sequel, trilogy if there's going to be one, and the future of this Batman. It's the best version of Batman as well as the most realistic Batman yet. One that isn't over the top, overreached and is just like the rest of us - having emotion, a past etc. - 12.26.2022
The Batman was amazing, the suspense, crime chases, adventures, and much more. When I went to see the film for first time, I worse stuff to look like him.

It’s like playing a video game from Dave and busters by chasing down the bad guys
it's a shame they didn't add the Batmobile startup scene. The engine was screaming like a banshee that you get goosebumps just from hearing it.
Remember that while Batan is in a jet-powered supercar, the Penguin is in a Prius, and he still managed to keep ahead of Batman for 5 minutes.
The Penguin is the best driver on the planet.
1:46 is my favorite part. It feels like the Batmobile is a creature of the night youre running from.
2:59 - Me driving to work every morning
Amazing scene aside, I'm so sad this clip cuts out just before his badass walk with the music in full swing
i love how they framed this chase like the batmobile was a big monster coming after him
This movie was so incredibly badass I still get chills watching it
What a scene! Literally my best scene tbh. I don't want to spoil it too much, But what a masterpiece, and honestly in my opinion, the best and most ideal version of Batman they managed. The movie literally shows and explores "Batman"/"Bruce" storyline and legacy from a very different perspective in comparison to all the others, and this new cast especially with Pattinson nailed it. A film with an excellent soundtrack, a perfect storyline, a great cast, great effects, and emotion, it was literally a masterpiece and an unforgettable movie, and I have nothing negative to say about it. Truly worth it, and can't wait for the future of this Batman trilogy!
