Also, They weren’t criminals. Or at least Superman didn’t know that. They had committed no crime. They were simply delivering a heavily guarded shipment to Lex Luthor. They were just a security team. Superman had no reason to chase them. He didn’t know what Batman knew at this point in the movie. From his point of view, it looks like some psychopath in a bat armored speed tank is terrorizing people.

Cool scene that be more like an introduction though, this is full on beast mode Batman with nothing hold back. Nothing is more scary then seeing the batmobile ram through buildings boats and vehicles only to be stopped by an indestructable alien.

I'd be fine with him killing the goons if they at leat gave a reason to kill them. They were doing nothing but delivering a package for Lex Luthor. He attacked them first and was perpetuating every bit of collateral damage. Those goons would just deliver the thing to LexCorp and go home if Batman didn't start killing them. More so, he endangered innocent lives, too. Since there was traffic on the road when Batman was chasing them down, and one of the goons crashed into a gas truck and exploded, possibly killing the driver of the truck, too.

@@Dimmary Batman in The Dark Knight Returns wasn't on path of redemption. He never lost his moral values in that story. He simply became apathetic with age. And he never killed anyone in that miniseries outside the Joker, and he is punished for that, anyway.

This scene shows the differences between the fear that people have towards Batman and Superman. With Superman, they fear him because they know that they can't harm him. With Batman, they fear him because they know he'll harm THEM.

Batbale's murders look more premeditated than Batfleck's, at least Batfleck can claim self-defense since all he did was turn on his headlights and they started raining him with a plethora of bullets.

And Batfleck did not just turn on the headlights. He placed a tracker on their trucks (accounts for the pre-meditation). Then he started accelerating towards them in their own compound with the full intention of ramming them. We don't even know if the people he killed deserved to die or not.

The creativity with the Batman action scenes was so good in this movie, it's the biggest thing the Dark Knight trilogy was missing

Batman is relentless in this movie I love it. The best interpretation of the character on the silver screen. Wish we saw more of him in a standalone movie, that would've been epic.

Especially his batmobile. In this movie it just rams through everything. And even after it hit superman it was still okay with slight damage. But in Josstice league just a swarm of parademons took it out. Just when one of them touched it, they took out the minigun and multiple of them destroyed it, and then a giant purple thing hits it and it's gone. It could've rammed through that.
If Batman had just said "Dude, they're transporting Kryptonite in the truck I was chasing" … it would have all been cool.

They could have given him an interesting reason for killing, it could have also created an interesting dynamic with Alfred like a "this isnt what I agreed to years ago" thing. It could have also lead to a redemption story, like when hes about to kill superman and he realises that superman is just trying to save his mom and how, in a way, superman beeing defenseless on the floor was just like bruce when he was a kid watching his parents getting murdered and how batman was joe chill in this scenario, which could have made him go back to his original vow and stop killing
And by simply making batman not kill it would have made batman wanting to kill superman a lot more interesting because he didnt see superman as a person but as an alien, wich would have also gone hand in hand with his "you werent even a man" line. But then when supes asks batman to save his mom it would have humanized him, batman would have realised that superman also has a family, he had a childhood, he was a person so he couldnt kill him anymore
And they even decided that the robin who died was dick! Not jason. Which makes absolutly no sense, why would they change that? It threw Nightwing out of the window and screwd up possible robin story lines in the future

i love how batman waited for the russian guy to shut the door before shooting the tracking device. he does this so that the sound of the tracking device hitting the truck is blended in with the sound of the door shut.

JL Batman wasn’t fueled by a Superman-induced injustice boner and no longer was on his own in the field, not only that but the people with him are virtually unkillable, or at least harder to kill than Batman himself. Also due to no longer being alone, things are complicated. With him doing things alone he doesn’t have to talk, explain, or wait for others. He knows his goal, his plan, and his limits. Also as the “leader” of the team he has to set an example, especially with Superman traditionally being a Boy Scout against murder. But then, Batman didn’t traditionally kill either so who the fuck really knows
Neil Hood the ability to process things faster doesn’t equate to being smarter in any case, or having a tactical advantage in some cases. You have to be processing the right information and use it appropriately, but the information you process and how you use it is where being actually smart and having a tactical mindset come into play. An idiot that processes faster is just coming to idiotic conclusions sooner.

This movie had one of the best car chase scenes in it, along with maybe the best fight scene ever.
I like how the movie did a little bait n switch with batman aiming that sniper rifle. You expect him, BATMAN, to kill the dude, but PHEW, he only used the sniper rifle to attach a tracking device onto the truck.
But then he just ends up murdering people anyway.
He did the same in the dark knight with that sniper

Looking back when I first watched dawn of justice I felt there wasn't enough action. The sheer brilliance of this scene cannot be underestimated. I loved every second of this chase scene. And when Clark shows up in the middle of the road and the two of them stare at each other, I had more chills running through my body than when Thanos made his grand appearance in Infinity War. Nothing beats Batman and Superman having a stare-down for the first time.

The batmobile sounds so hellish and demonic, it's actually terrifying. I love it.
Considering that Superman just lets the actual criminals go, this scene always reminds me of a parent singling out one of their children to scold when both of them were misbehaving.

Cinematography is some pretty basic stuff seen in most action movies, the colors are just grey and black? The music is good though. But zack didn’t write the music don’t credit him with that. So basically all he can do is what has been done before but in a more bland way due to lack of color. Not to mention his stories are horrible

This version of Batman cops a lot of flack because of the fact that he kills many people, but I think it fits perfectly with who this Batman/Bruce Wayne is as a person.
He had been Batman for 20 years and I believe that by the time of this film he had just lost Robin to the Joker (they showed Robin's suit graffitied by the Joker in the film), leading to him becoming more reckless and less inclined to care about the lives of those who were villains to him.
He spends over half of this film plotting to kill Superman because he witnessed the destructive, godlike power of the Man of Steel during his battle with General Zod.
It's only upon realising that Superman had a human mother that he started to realise what he had become.
It's hard to compare some of the actors who have portrayed Batman/Bruce Wayne, but I think that Ben Affleck did an incredibly good job of it and I hope he will return in the future to the role.

This Batman is different from previous incarnations because he is in a different part of his story. He is showing the effects of a two decade long vigilante war on crime in Gotham which has left him jaded, worn out and less inclined to care about those who he kills. Let's not forget that he is often under fire from bullets when causing collateral damage.
Therefore his actions in the film fit in with the type of person he is.
