I can’t believe this man said the 380 is a fire and flea type round 😂😂 There’s a lot of men in the ground behind a 380 and a lot of them still above ground behind the 9mm,40 and 45 acp….. People need to get that out of their minds
@@birdrustler Sooooo I’m glad I don’t work for the sheriffs dept anymore…. i’ve seen quite a few MOUSE/RATS that can disguise themselves as 200lb & 300lb men, that are no longer with us behind little ol 380’s 😂😂
He should move the mag release button to the other side like I did..less apt to push when fired with the right hand..worked for me.. BTW, I wouldn't want to be in front of my 380,,,,don't forget there's 10 of them in there..
There is no gun on the market that has 10 rounds and carries as easy as the LCP Max. I also was not impressed with the original LCP but the Max is a whole different platform IMO
My Max is fully modded with all the Mcarbo parts, plus a Hogue grip sleeve for a Sig P365 (cut off the finger separator). It is soft shooting with most ammo (heavier recoil spring), and quite accurate at 7 yards. At 15 yards not so much; sight radius too short. I consider it as perfect as any pocket pistol could be. I use the 12-round mag, which is barely longer than the 10-round with the pinky extension. I also have the LCP in 22LR, just because it exists.
Among all pistols available out there, Ruger LCP Max is the one that makes the most sense to add a laser, in my opinion. Add a laser to LCP Max. I think you will be AMAZED how accurate this gun actually is.
Very good video. I love my LCPs . I have the recently upgraded standard LCP, the LCP with stainless slide and aluminum trigger and just bought the LCP MAX 75th anniversary edition. Although I have the EC9s I usually carry the LCP for comfort... unless I'm going to Walmart 🤔🤣
"Unless I'm going to Walmart" is a sad but true commentary on our current situation. I also consider Walmart as probably the most potentially dangerous place that I go. Although I have a Taurus G3C with (3)12-round mags, the LCP is usually my everyday carry with (3) 6-round mags simply because it conceals so much better than the Taurus.
Excellent videos man!, new subscriber here! i just saw all of your videos and so far the most accurate to compete with and conceal carry looks like it´s the p320 xfull
The Ruger has the advantage of rounds, but the Glock shoots much better IMO in regard to recoil. I’ve had 4 females shoot both side by side and only 1 said she didn’t really have a preference. The other 3 chose the Glock 42 on their own stating they didn’t feel the snappiness in it like they did with the Ruger LCP Max. I don’t have a problem with J frames so the Max doesn’t seem bad to me, but that really isn’t the case with some people. If they don’t like shooting it they won’t train with it and that is what we are trying to get them to do in the end. Shoot and train with what you’re comfortable. Excellent stuff as always. 😊
Excellent observations here. I too pocket carry the Glock, I find that the size must be intentional. It’s almost that Glock made it as small as they could while keeping it dead reliable. Seems scaled down perfectly to me. That and the felt recoil is much less IMO.
Some guys have had the same problem with the Max , there is a aftermarket heavy duty spring that fixes the problem. Several guys bought the heavier spring and no more mag pop outs. So see if you can get a heavier spring for yours
I'm an experienced shooter, and it took a few hundred rounds for me to get comfortable shooting at 25 yards with myne. They are not easy to shoot. The 12 round mags help accuracy a lot because of the added grip length.
I don’t know want people talk about…. I dam accurate at 5,7,10 yard even with stock trigger. It’s longer pull than your Glock 42. And don’t think is snappy like many people mention
After 100 rounds, I had a blister on my trigger finger from the sharp edge of the trigger safety. I’m either gonna have to replace this trigger or take it back and get something else. It is not a very pleasant gun to shoot.
Heard a lot of complaints about the Galloway Precision Sigurd Trigger so I upgraded to an MCARBO trigger and NO MORE BITE. I also tricked out the gun with the MCARBO 12lb hammer spring, and firing pin. Ironically I did use the Galloway precision steel guide rod and 13lb guide rod spring. Finally slapped Talon grips on it and now it RUNS LIKE A DREAM. Not snappy, no hard trigger pulls, flat shooter with tight groups on target. All these upgrades are around $125. If you use a gunsmith for installation it’ll be an additional cost
@@elche1976 You cool with that 10lb trigger pull? If so then more power to you but it takes so much effort to pull the trigger by the time you do your shots are PULLING all over the place 😵💫😵💫😵💫
@OliGrant-sw8by bwahaha. 10? Since video after video show a 5ish trigger pull.... I suggest you do some simple exercises to strengthen your hand. No way is it 10lbs. And stop shopping in the little girls clothing section. 😅🤣😅 Edit - at the 5:00 mark he even references the trigger pull at 5 to 5½ pounds. Again, if you think it's 10.... the problem is with you. 😂😂😂
WARNING: I bought the LCP Max. While I love Ruger, I noticed right out of the box if your trigger finger not indexing the trigger in a certain way the trigger safety will not let you pull it in a struggle or hurry situation! I fixed the problem but Ruger should be aware of this!
It's actually not fully cocked, it's about 90% and the hammer has to travel the other 10% when you pull the trigger. It's as safe as any other similar firearm. Been out for a couple years with no reports of negligent discharge.
100% agree. Been carrying one for several years. I also have the 42 but it’s just not reliable. I’ve done everything i know of to get it to run reliably, even had a smith work on it twice. The lcp is just 100% all the time. I’m no trigger snob but I don’t know why anyone would prefer the bodyguard, damn bear have to ice your trigger finger after you shoot it and follow shots are affected as well
If you're worried about it going off, you don't trust yourself. The gun is fine. Carried the lcp2 for 3 years and now this for 2 years. Look up the design. And there's not any issues with it randomly going off even when dropping.
Big problem here the gun has to work and for me it didn't! Gun failed to go into battery several times but worse magazine kept popping out of the gun while in its pocket holster in my pocket! Ruger makes a wonderful products probably the best but not this one!
Thanks for your post. I'm carrying my Ruger LCP Max with 2-12 round magazines and 1-10 round magazine.
I just bought the 75th anniversary LCP Max. It has some minor upgrades and a nuce aluminum trigger. I paid 325 out the door so i couldnt say No.

Moral of your story, stop being a girl and choose the LCP Max!
That is true about the mag release on the lcp. I catch myself throughout the day, reaching in my pocket to make sure the magazine is seated
Galloway makes a stronger catch spring.
I reversed the mag catch and it doesn’t seem to be any issue anymore
I just found this bad boy for 199 on Palmetto State Armory online! I have a bodyguard but i couldn’t pas that price
good video. great explanation of details!
I solved the mag button problem w/a Kydex pocket holster that covers the mag button.
LOVE this LCP max it's my around the house Carry..

Thanks for the video. This is a great 380.
Ten round mag and twelve round mag run perfectly always always in battery as well
I agree with everything you said, great video.
Use a brass shell case to remove the pin always and never use a screwdriver.
Why?

Why are you trying to shoot 25 yards + with this? I mean, kudos to you but this is meant as a Get off me gun. Not a reach out type of firearm.
My first 500 rounds and I still shoot low with my max at around 7 yards.
@jasonlohorn268 myne prints about 4 inches low with flat nose ammo. Regular ball is on point, try switching up ammo.
I don’t know want people talk about…. I dam accurate at 5,7,10 yard even with stock trigger. It’s longer pull than your Glock 42. And don’t think is snappy like many people mention
This. People tend to repeat what others say and myth becomes legend. Recoil isn't bad at all with this.
With the improvment of ammo projectiles the 380 is a much better round then in the past.
That lcp is what I carry every day for several years. The Glock just won’t run reliably
BS

I’m concerned about carrying that thing condition one. It’s pretty well fully caulked. I prefer the design of the bodyguard 380.
Exactly my opinion, it should have a real doble action trigger like the bodyguard. In that case it would be perfect for deep concealment

Get a good holster and you don't have to worry about that. People carry glocks the same way every day and don't just randomly go off.
