When you’re like “I’m gonna stop for a minute” then fall was me the whole first week on skates 😂. You’re doing great for not having put on skates in so long!
Thank you so much! But yes I was so scared every time I felt like I was about to tip over or backwards 🤣.. I’m looking forward to looking back and seeing how far I’ve come!
I spent a few years skating inlines outside but it was always the same place, a flat park. I took the plunge in July finally, the day before my 50th birthday and bought myself a pair of quads, after going to a rink and using the rentals and having the time of my life. I could relate to that stop and fall. I hope you're still out there and doing the thang!
Gosh!!! I remember that 1st fall in my driveway with NOOOOO helmet or protective gear. I logged onto to Amazon immediately and ordered gear like my hubby told me to do in the 1st place. I'm just binge watching skating videos since I started back last Dec. after 30 plus years and Iove it. I'm still a work in progress but I keep going back. I really like your skates and my boardwalks came yesterday BUT looked as if someone had worn the right boot so I sent back. I want my skates clean and new for the $$$$ spent.
Lol… After that first and second then THIRD fall I was DONE! 😂 It don’t feel the way it used to falling when I was younger 😬.. at least I got to try it again since child hood but I gave up on it. It was fun while it lasted 🤣🤣But best wishes to you and yea make sure to gear up!
You are an inspiration 😁 I am thinking about learning to skate, a long time dream..... I just really enjoyed learning from you learning, well done and thank you for such a real vibe video 👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much!! Yes I’m still learning. Haven’t been able to get back out on them yet but hopefully soon. It’s fun and challenging 😆. But go for it and do what makes you happy❤️
@@HealthyWayILive 😁 happy skating 😁 I am also hoping to get my hands on some Sure Grip Board walk skates, but impossible to find over here in France..... but I have found a shop online in Poland so fingers crossed 😁😁😁
I have boardwalk wheels, those wheels are super fast lol. You're doing great! Oh you may want to loosen your trucks just a little, it'll help make turning easier for you 😉.
Once you get the technique it’s better. Like staggered feet, bent knees, and stand in a T or V, not parallel. I last skated as a teenager also, now 65. I wear padded snowboard shorts, and real good ($90) wrist guards. Because I broke my wrist about age 10 at the rink from being ran into from behind. 😢 I have blue Boardwalks.
@@HealthyWayILive you are so welcome 😉 I'm a beginner also and learned a lot from looking at Dirty school of skate(Debra Harry) and Queer Girl Straight Skates (Rebel) you might wanna check them out, they are on you tube and their techniques are so easy to learn!
I understand that intro fall. Once that fall takes place it's smooth sailing from there. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣
So glad you got up after that fall and stayed with it,,,you did so good for not skating in so long,,,keep going family....
Thanks
@@HealthyWayILive I took a 38 yr break,,been back skating for a year now..loving it

I ended up selling these skates and the accessories. I didn’t like falling all the time 😬😖 but at least I got the chance to do it again from childhood
👏🏿
Nice. I really like the Motion wheels! I also have a pair of Boardwalks!
Yes! Their so smooth and comfortable
Y’all are tooo cute!!!
Love it!! I got the same ones! I was wondering if yours came with any slight imperfections? Glue or small dents?
Yes just a little. Nothing too noticeable
You are doing good for a beginner. Key is look straight ahead and not down, that way you're not as likely to fall.
Thank you!!!

Yes I have been watching them as well before I went back out the first day. They are really helpful
Such a good husband ☺️ I enjoyed watching you skate.
Thank you!! Yes he is🥰… I got rid of those skates though. It was fun while it lasted lol!
I'm just now finding skating again and looking at all these videos. Are you still skating? Can you make an update video?
No unfortunately I’m not… Decided that was for the younger me lol.. sold the skates and the gear too! I
