I still can't believe how much I love this version
I’d take this version over the one with Lars’ drumming any day. I like some Metallica a lot (first four records?) but the drumming is nothing to write home about. Not great, not terrible but simply not on par with the guitars and singing…
Aside from failing to constantly adjust the boom mic unnecessarily, this was spot-on.

This was perfect and amusing as can be. You got the essence there in most ways.
One thing is missing though… the extra half a dozen toms needed to do the ascending/ defending tom fills Portnoy so loved doing. And another 50 drums/ cymbals of varying types just for kicks 😆

There should be a fill at 2:52 mirroring the guitar solo, like Portnoy does every single song.
