I actually don't cover my brisket here in Texas. I put it in the oven at 225°. When it gets to 185°, then I wrap it on butchrr paper and let it keep going until about 205 degrees.
Anita, i just love your channel. I went into carnivore1 month ago and thank you for all for the recipes and advice. i am 71 yrs and is taking medications for diabetes 2 & blood pressure, do i discontinue the medications while on this diet? thank you
You need to check your blood values and reduce your medication as your blood glucose and blood pressure comes down. It's extremely important that you check often with a glucometer and a blood pressure cuff because it can be dangerous if your values go too far down. In my case I was able to reverse my diabetes a year ago, but I still take a low dose of blood pressure medication since I was still running a bit high. High blood pressure runs in my family, but I was able to reduce the dose
I had liver for breakfast one day last week and it took me through most of the day, I'm not carnivore, I've not long been doing Keto and find I dont miss sugar and carbs at all but love cheddar cheese...maybe too much but would you say its wrong to eat it most days? I also drink goats milk. sometimes.
Some people can handle daily cheese while others cannot. If you eat cheese every day and are getting the results you want and feel good then no need to change it!
Anita! I’ve been wanting to ask you this for months. I tried going through your meat fast/ egg fast/ PSMF recaps but couldn’t find a definitive answer. For yourself, did you see more success on PSMF or high fat keto (like a fat fast ) ? What would you recommend or go to, to get past a plateau? Thank you❤

Don't just discontinue meds without asking your doctor. You will likely need to slowly reduce them so be sure to check your BP and BG regularily.

To get past a plateau I would try 2-3 days of PSMF per week for 30 days. That should do it. I used high fat carnivore more for healing purposes.

Many people avoid direct contact with aluminum due to concerns about neurotoxicity. Parchment may help seal moisture better too.
Apparently it is bad for foil to touch your food due to chemicals leaching in. So the parchment adds a layer of protection.
