Hiroshi - Kyoto | Home Coffee Brewing with April #41

- his week, we’re bringing you the latest video from a series that we call Home Coffee Brewing with April. We are in the Japanese city of Kyoto for our final video from this trip, visiting Hiroshi.
We believe that innovation in coffee brewing starts at home, and that some of the most special and meaningful interactions with coffee can take place within your own kitchen.
As we are frequently travelling visiting our international partners, we decided to introduce this format as a way to interact with you on a different level whilst maintaining the frequency of our videos.
In this video, Hiroshi brews a Pacamara from El Salvador roasted by Kurasu. He uses a Ceramic April Brewer, Varia VS3 Grinder with Ultra Burrs, local water heated in a Fellow Electric Gooseneck Kettle, a Fellow Tally Pro scale and various pieces of Sense Glasswear from Orea.
We hope that you enjoyed the third and final video from Kyoto. We will return back to Copenhagen for several episodes before continuing on to the next destination, we hope that you will join us.

You know, I started watching these videos to get new ideas, but after watching so many of them I'm not really here for that reason anymore. It's juat pleasant to hang out and brew coffee together (at a distance).
Thanks!
We appreciate the support Dylan. Good vibes.
Agree! The series been great so far! Encourages social interactions within the community! Side note though the varia sounds exactly like the Lagom Mini while grinding!
Thank you for watching. In our experience the Mini is marginally less noisy. Either way, we prefer the grind quality on the Mini.
Actually, April plastic brewer is the best brewer ever with dark roasts!
And it is designed to suit light roasts and high temperatures as well. It is extremely mighty and capable no matter what.
I think it is for clean, separatable well-defined profiles of specialty coffee.
The best brewer for (washed) and/ or "clean" coffees.
Very dark Indonesian coffees, Colombian, Sidamo, ... etc.
If it well roasted, it is to be well defined.
El Salvador coffees are so clean, even if they are processed by weird fermentations. Ordered washed one already.
Thank you, both of you!
April& Kurasu (Kurasu's team | Mr. Hiroshi) are the best.
Thank you for watching and sharing. Yes, it works well on a range of roast degrees.
Watching this video makes me want to brew with Hiroshi ❤👍
That's great. Thank you for sharing. What was the best part of the video for you?
chuckled a little about "japanese pear" (I'm a pear "aficionado") there are so many pears in the world that you can find those characteristics in others, but I guess It a very good taste indication for japanese buyers
Thank you for watching. Descriptors on coffee flavors are always interesting, especially when you travel around the world.
come to Changsha / China Patrik!
Thank you for watching. Hopefully, we can do a China series in the future.
