Does METAL GEAR SOLID Really Need a REMAKE?

- With the rumours regarding a remake of the Original Metal Gear Solid game, we had to get our thoughts out there regarding it. We are HUGE fans of the MGS series so we are personally really looking forward to this rumour becoming reality.
Well, i hope we get remakes for both metal gear 1 and 2, which they had released on MSX

Metal Gear 1 and 2 (from late 1980s) Are The Ones That Deserve The Remakes First Cause These Two Games Take Place Before The Events of MGS1 and A Good Number of Fans Don't Even Know That MG1 and MG2 Exist. They Think That Soild Snake Killing Big Boss is Just Lore and That's Pretty Sad Cause There's Two Whole Games Where We Playthrough The Events of Outer Heaven Fortress and Zanzibarland Which The Fans Deserve To Expirence☹️

I adored MGS1 but I feel, for me, the series really lost its way and became just too convoluted for the sake of being convoluted. The first game felt really believable even with far fetched elements it pulled them off tactfully.
I would love a true to feel remake of the original MGS and would love to see Outer Haven and Zanzibar remade too in the spirit of Snake in his prime as this was robbed from us by future titles. I didn’t care too much for all the Big Boss backstory
The Gamecube version is amazing as it is. What we need is a Metal and Metal Gear II remake.

3:49 I wouldn't say it's definitive. It's not Resident Evil Remake and it was bad enough for people to keep asking for a remake rather than a port. It's reception is part of why it got a lower print run and why it was deliberately excluded from the HD Collecion or Legacy Collection. 😩
Sean Eyestone, a KJP producer at the time even commented on it.
It was excluded because of the Nintendo references/products, HD and Legacy collection were for the 360/PS3. Nintendo got shut down the development of a game because their characters appeared on a PS2 demo.
I would love a remake but would be scared what changed they would make to it.
Would love a remake. What does “not even need a remake” mean really...of course if they want to spend the money to 5th gen this game, I’m obviously gonna buy it. But if that doesn’t happen they absolutely need to re-release twin snakes on a newer platform.
I wonder how they pull this off without Kojima. BTW if something really needs to be remade is MG1 and MG2 MSX episodes.

Metal gear solid for the ps1 had way better voice acting and music then the twin snakes. It wasn’t just the cutscenes. The mgs2 gameplay was one of the worse things about the remake too since the level design didn’t change in any significant way you could just head shot every single guard without even moving in the area . The first person mode even ruined boss fights aswell. with ocelot you don’t even need to move to defeat him. Vulcan raven arguably the best boss fight in the game is broken as you can just run up to him in first person and shoot him a bunch of times and he dies without you getting knocked over by his mini gun. The mgs2 gameplay just wasn’t designed for that game. The graphics were good though they still hold up today in my opinion.

Great content keep it coming please! I am all for a ps5 remake of the original MGS. Also with multiplayer online as theres so many characters in the game we never play as.

It would be good if they done the remake of mgs and mgs 2,but would the ever do a remake of metal gear solid and metal gear solid snake?
Really should just remake MGS 1.. But without the flash and pizazz of Twin Snakes.. Takes away from what made the original so good..
Metal Gear Solid is one of my favourite games so to see it get a remake is awesome. But wouldn’t it make sense to remake Metal Gear 1 and 2 after the way Phantom Pain left off with Operation intrude N313. Either way another mgs game is what I wanted most.

Damien Fields I liked Gray Fox because I know he was apart of Metal Gear 1 and 2 but the game itself doesn’t need the remake as much as those first 2 games.
