    I once had a trespassing neighbor who was clinically insane. He would literally hunt squirrels and eat them raw after skinning them and would then fry and eat the squirrel skins after bringing them back to his place. Pick up trespassing on our property and sending rounds dangerously close to the house. We got so sick and tired of it and between us and the cops telling them to stay off the property He just kept doing it. One day we have gotten so tired of it that we hollered out into the woods that he needed to stop shooting on our property and vacate immediately or we would be calling the cops. We couldn't see him because he was so far back in the foliage but he could clearly see us on our back porch because he opened up on us. He had a 50 round magazine of a 22 rifle and dumped about half of it at us and through our windows. I ran inside and grabbed my rifle before charging out. He took off into the woods and since it's such a big property back there I had the family called the cops while I went to confront him. I tracked his foot prints off into the trees. I heard another shot and thought it was at me. But it wasnt. It was at a squirrel and he was actuvely eating it like a zombie when i rolled up. I was about 50ft away with my rifle and told him to get off the property. This was his last warning. He didnt respond but got up with his squirl half in his mouth half in one hand. His other hand still holding the rifle. I told him one more time to leave before I slowly started to back up because I wanted to get away from the semi-auto that close to me. I kept my eyes on him for quite some time and he just kept staring at me like a zombie before I had finally backed up an additional 100 ft away from them. I turned to Sprint back to the house when he opened up and emptied every round he had and an entire another magazine of 50 rounds. I head behind the only cover I have which was a tree and got struck a couple of times on my back and my thigh even though I didn't feel it. I return fire with my bolt action rifle and proceeded to put a roundabout 2 in from his face and take a good chunk out of the tree that he was near. He took off running and I put a hole through his shirt with the next shot before he managed to disappear into the foliage. I managed to get back to the house and plop down on the couch and let everyone know what happened while the cops arrived. A dozen cops went to go arrest the guy at his property while police took statements. One of them noticed that the couch I was sitting on which is gray was turning red and when I leaned up it hurt like a son of a bitch. It turns out that in my adrenaline fueled state I didn't even realize that he had hit me in three places with copper jacketed 22s. I had some nasty small gouges in my back and a graze on my thigh that if it was an inch deeper would gave hit an artery. They ended up arresting the guy after a brief shootout where he got wounded a couple of times and it turns out that my 30-06 That had hit the tree had sent some wood chips into his face and eye. When he was drug tested he apparently was on seven different types of drugs all at the same time and his firearm was stolen. They sentenced him to 22 years in prison without parole

    Story 5 made me extra cry. A month ago, my sweet dog passed away. She was only 10 months old.
    I could see she was not okay and begged the vet to see her, for three days. I knew them as great vets, that if they saw her, they could help. We finally got an appointment at another clinic the next day.
    We had to call to change the nature of the appointment. We were no longer bringing a dog that was alive and I was in shock.
    Her ashes now rest next to my father's ashes. They share the same birthday and she was born a few months before he died. She was special

    My buddy is a roofer and an alcoholic. One time he fell off a third story roof across the street from the hospital and broke his ankle. His coworker ran to the hospital and got him a wheelchair, and he refused to wait in the hospital without beer. So his coworker got in the truck, drove to the liquor store, and got a 12 pack. He chugged all 12 beers and his coworker wheeled him over to the hospital where he waited over 10 hours to be seen, which is really quick for a hospital in Canada. I waited for 14 hours after a bike accident that left me bleeding all over the waiting room. By the time they seen me the bleeding was pretty much over with.

    Ok I finally cried to a story. I miss my best friend. Could not get another dog after my favorite heart thief pass from old age. I now probably have an guardian angel with four paws, a wagging tail and happy smile on his face.

    I've actually got one, lmfao. Not medical myself, buuut my biodad managed to live for at who knows how many years with enough clots in his body to down a horse. I moved back home to help deal with his estate since I figured it was just the family demon (Alzheimers) rearing it's head, but it was..... just oxygen deprivation. Clots were concentrated in his lungs and his left leg, which he'd been limping on for a few years but never thought to see a doctor. "I just woke up with it one day while camping" says he after being asked why he didn't do anything, like it's normal to lose most use of a limb and just accept it as one's new normal without finding why... I'd been trying to get him enrolled in the VA, but he had a really nasty fall (actually three but the first two times the paramedics didn't do their damn job) before I could and ended up in the ICU for the better part of a month before ending up in rehab for nearly another full one. How he didn't end up with multiple nasty strokes or severe brain damage from the long-term oxygen deprivation (he was smart as hell but a total idiot, so I could fucking tell lol) no one could really figure. Ended up living another five ears before the dementia (of some form he refused to let me have him tested) finally took enough of his mind away that he lived out his last couple months in a home after I could no longer care for him.
    He was definitely not the best parent (or even a good one, he was very much the 'fun uncle' in my life and no father figure at all), but damn do I miss that stupid discount santa laugh some days.

    Have a similar story to the chain one. About 20 years ago. My classmate back in middle school was riding his dirt bike on some trails. Some asshole put a wire across the trail. He ended up catching that wire in the throat. He was out of school for a few weeks. Came back with with gauze covered throat, ended up with a nasty scar going halfway around his throat. That could have very well killed him.

      @mechengr1731 from what I've heard they use it as a deterrent. Biggest bs reason I've heard.

    OK, I would just like to say that I am genuinely impressed that in the entirety of this video, the only mispronunciation I spotted in all of the medical lingo was ECMO (which is usually pronounced as EK-mo, rather than spelt out). Well done, Rufus.

    I have the flip side of #2. Went into the ER for stomach pain & when they read my bp it was like 290/130 (normal bp is 120/80 btw). The ER dr kept acting like I was seconds from having a stroke & completely ignored the issue I went in with. Was such a bad experience it took another 9 months to figure out I had renal failure (unrelated to the bp but was related to the stomach pain.) On a fun note those nightmareish headaches I 100% thought were caused by the slipped disk in my neck were very much caused by my bp. Haven’t had one since being medicated, but I will pass out if my bp drops below 115-ish so it truly amazes me that op was conscious at 30 😮

    • @Mavendow
      @Mavendow 3 місяці тому

      290 can indeed cause strokes, hence the head pain
      But it shouldn't have taken 9 months for the other thing.
