    I've always had a problem any kind of learning that is even remotely structured And, unfortunately, this includes music tutorials. While i have absorbed a lifetimes worth of useless general knowledge from random sources, i have never remembered what i set out to learn. That is, until now. Because there is just something about these Underdog UA-cam tutorials that i find to be exactly right for me and whatever my learning problems are. And in the months since finding this channel my techno has come on more than in the previous 30 years! Now, how about some Drum 'n' Bass lessons as well ? ;-)

    I might change my DAW from FL to ableton just because your teaching skills is top notch my man

    • @BaddBadger
      @BaddBadger 2 роки тому +1

      I was using Ableton for many years, but recently moved across to a combination of Reason and Fruity Loops. IMO, Fruity Loops just sounds WAY better. Plus free updates for life! But i guess you can either start in one DAW and then bounce stems across, or just sync as many DAWs as your computer can handle. I have come to think that Ableton is best at time stretching, but over-rated other wise. And maybe it's just like Facebook in that it's become the one that people use, just because it's the one that everyone else seems to use. I'm just saying, i think you already have the better DAW in many ways.

    • @BaddBadger
      @BaddBadger 2 роки тому

      @@dondiegodelavega1695 I hate how you have to construct a song in FL. It feels completely the wrong way around somehow. But for coming up with great sounds and quick ideas, FL is king. I then bounce the stems over to Reason for everything else (including syncing my hardware). Over the years i have learned to hate almost everything about Live. But if it works for you then carry on! :-)

    This is similar to how I use vocoder, which has become one of my favorite things to do as i get melodies incorporated into random other sounds.
    But this method you showed actually looks like it has many more options and ways to adjust. I'm pretty hype to start experimenting with thism

  • @tntero

    This is an amazing trick and the sort of creative approach that I love about electronic music. I'd just like to say that I don't agree the choice of kit on your shadow harmony track doesn't affect the sound. I could hear those hats coming through as if they were actually being played and I think ultimately that's what led Oscar to remove them because they just didn't sound good there. I think maybe changing the hats would have allowed you to keep them in? But this is just a guess as I haven't tried this technique yet...
