I know it's strange for a guy to raise another man's child, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why. I can still see in my mind's eye the moment I first saw and was about to introduced to my wife...and the child (six months old) who was to become my daughter. I don't know which one I fell in love with first. I've always been dad and adopted her as soon as i could. Difficulties not withstanding, 45 1/2 years later, I will fix Creole crab bisque for those two ladies tomorrow for Thanksgiving.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know the feeling. I lost my twin sister 4 years ago, and my older brother 2 years ago. I told my brother when he was dying that I was the one to die before him! He was always healthy in the Air Force, but after retiring he started drinking Whiskey. Then his wife left him when he was sick. He was a John Cougar fan, but liked some heavy metal. I've only learned their connection in the last couple of years. I've always loved Todd but hadn't gone deep. I was listening to one song that was new to me and it hit me hard and instantly. "My goodness!!! He's Darryl Hall's biggest influence!!" It jumped out of my speaker!!! And I LOVED it!! Ima child of the 60s. SO much amazing music from that era, actually almost 30 years worth. We have such rich treasure!! We'll never stop learning and discovering new/old music. ❤

In the future people who might not of ever heard of him will see his display, have their interests peaked, and discover him. I wondered how many in the crowd of country fans even knew who Todd Rundgren was, but the message was delivered to a standing ovation. I spoke with Dan and the band after their set, and they were kind gentlemen who believed in the power and the message of the music that they played. I mourned his passing.

This song touches my heart so powerfully, can't even express it fully. When I was a child it made me cry every time it came on the radio ( England Dan&JF Coleys version) and then I listened to all the different versions later when I was struggling in and out of active addiction. Sometimes comforting and sometimes helping me break through and process my feelings because it is SO emotionally compelling.The thing I want to say about it though : only an extraordinary and beautiful soul could write SUCH a powerfully beautiful song. A song that you feel instantly in your heart, a flood of emotion and then also,you know you've heard the TRUTH. Its a very profound thing. Todd Rundgren is a truly beautiful human being, and I love him so much for giving this song to me- giving it to the world.

My wife and I saw Todd sing this one 2 nights ago in Wichita, KS. Really moving, for sure. Todd was onstage with Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band. Maybe the best concert I have ever seen in all my years on Earth : )

When Todd sings without an instrument he makes heavy use of gestures. His range and voice has always amazed me and every now and then you can hear the Motown/Philly sound influence even a bit of Luther. But he's an original of the highest order. Melodic influence almost Broadway! Surrounds himself with other choirboy voices (Kasim), drummer-singer Wilcox....and that's just in the Utopia configuration. Have loved his music for over four decades.

thats because Todd is basically "testifying" when hes up there singing the song...he's not just going thru the motions...its as if the song..the message... and he are one....its all coming from his heart....it's difficult for me to listen to this song and not get a bit emotional heh.

Have seen Todd and utopia many times. Tower in upper Darby. On New years eve they did this song for atleast a half and hour at midnight. If there ever was a moment in life to carry you through life's, ups and downs, that was it. Bless these guys for all the joy they have shared
I saw Utopia at the Playpen in New Jersey back in about '81 or '82...It was a small rock club and there might only have been 500 people there, but it was a great show. Also my first concert. Dave Mason played that night too...

My HS class class in 1979 was challenged with the task of coming up with a song to be played at graduation. The two finalists were Free Bird and this one. After some convincing, Love Is The Answer took the prize, so glad it did!
This is my favorite Todd Rundgren song of all time & I love his music so much!! He’s absolutely amazing! I love that he played all the instruments and sang all his own backups, the man is a genius and a humanitarian for writing this wonderful song. I’ve listened to him since I was a teenager in the 70’s, he’s still incredible!❤️

This song touches my heart so powerfully, can't even express it fully. When I was a child it made me cry every time it came on the radio ( England Dan&JF Coleys version) and then I listened to all the different versions later when I was struggling in and out of active addiction. Sometimes comforting and sometimes helping me break through and process my feelings because it is SO emotionally compelling.The thing I want to say about it though : only an extraordinary and beautiful soul could write SUCH a powerfully beautiful song. A song that you feel instantly in your heart, a flood of emotion and then also,you know you've heard the TRUTH. Its a very profound thing. Todd Rundgren is a truly beautiful human being, and I love him so much for giving this song to me- giving it to the world.

It’s a wonderful song and Todd Rundgren is a gift to all of us. I was deep in active addiction myself the first time I heard it, but I’ve been a Todd fan ever since. I’m in recovery now and have been since February of 2018. I wish you the best, O Kindred Spirit!

My wife and I saw Todd sing this one 2 nights ago in Wichita, KS. Really moving, for sure. Todd was onstage with Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band. Maybe the best concert I have ever seen in all my years on Earth : )

When Todd sings without an instrument he makes heavy use of gestures. His range and voice has always amazed me and every now and then you can hear the Motown/Philly sound influence even a bit of Luther. But he's an original of the highest order. Melodic influence almost Broadway! Surrounds himself with other choirboy voices (Kasim), drummer-singer Wilcox....and that's just in the Utopia configuration. Have loved his music for over four decades.

These are some of the most compelling and beautiful lyrics I've ever heard-as a 9 year old girl the England Dan/J.F.Coley cover of this made me cry every time I heard it on the radio! Now I STILL well up and sometimes cry listening to this. Todd's performances of this (his)song are SO much more raw and real. Have seen Todd and utopia many times. Tower in upper Darby. On New years eve they did this song for atleast a half and hour at midnight. If there ever was a moment in life to carry you through life's, ups and downs, that was it. Bless these guys for all the joy they have shared
I saw Utopia at the Playpen in New Jersey back in about '81 or '82...It was a small rock club and there might only have been 500 people there, but it was a great show. Also my first concert. Dave Mason played that night too...

When I was 16 I was turned onto Todd. I played A Wizard a True Star over and over. I also liked The Police The Cars and Hall and Oats. Those were great years. Todd is an extraordinary talent.
