    That looks pretty good. The frame of that is painted stamped sheet metal which is steel. It's thin at that. None of it is aluminum other than the burner or that's what I see at first inspection. You can tell it's steel because a magnet will stick to it.
    The burner is aluminum and it has a non adjustable air intake if it's like mine. It appears these are all the same but they paint them different colors for different brands and slap a label on it.
    That burner is enameled steel which is a really stupid idea. Your video is good enough to show that the enamel part has already burned off.
    Really great to see it used with propane. Many don't do that. It looks like it's burning with a blue flame on propane. In the U.S., propane is cheaper than the smaller butane canisters.
    If weight is an issue and you're backpacking, this is for you. If you're camping and one burner is good enough or you use this just occasionally, it's fine.
    The problem is that aluminum and the thin sheet metal will rust if it's used a great deal. This is not something you really want to use on a day to day basis and expect to last. For occasional use, yeah.

      I agree, probably same material used for these stoves branded with different brands. But yes, all in all, this is a nice burner.

      @@MNMadeAdventures , the one I have has like a gas jet on the side. Looks like possibly to hook up a rubber gas line to feed it. I haven't seen that on the others. I can't get over how expensive those little butane cans are.
      I did see there is an adapter that can refill these 1-pound propane tanks from the 20lb ones. That would be cheaper.

    Thanks for the video guide! Random question, hard to answer I'm sure, but about average meals can be cooked with one canister of propane that you showed in the video.

      Thanks for watching. Yeah, hard to say but we’ve been going up to the cabin 2-3 days a week since spring and cooking 2-3 meals a day. Some meals take a bit more time, some are very simple. So far we are almost done with our 2nd canister. Hope this helps!

    You need an on-off valve to the adaptor hose between hose and fuel can. Otherwise those 1# cans have too much pressure and can damage the stove and the reducer valve.

    Question, is the lock only for butane option?
    Also, do you “lock” when you’re done and ready to unscrew the propane if I was using this on propane?

    • @MNMadeAdventures
      @MNMadeAdventures  10 місяців тому +1

      Yes, the lock is only for butane. You don’t have to touch that for propane.

    Hi every time i trying to connect the 1 pound cylinder it sprays gas out from the head of the hose through a tiny hole and the more I screw it is the more it sprays. Can you help?

    • @MNMadeAdventures
      @MNMadeAdventures  10 місяців тому +3

      Did you connect the hose to the cooker first? You must connect the hose to the cooker before you connect the propane canister.

    RE comment...... They forgot to give me the part to be able to use my Propane bottle so sent it back to Amazon and going to get it Monday, Its solid not flimsy and looking forward to using it. They claim they don't give hoses anymore but a connection part which they forgot. No biggie. Part of buying online.

      I have one that had the Hose. Loaned it to a friend. While he was using it he heard a "POP" and then he had a Torch about 14" to 16" shooting out of the hole in the door for the Butane Canister. No way to turn it off. He had to Un-Screw the Hose while avoiding the Flame! I contacted Customer Service and they Want Pictures! I'm Not Stupid Enough to Reconnect the hose to get them Pictures to get any Satisfaction. So, I Threw out the hose and Now it is Only a Butane Stove. That only works for me at well Above 40 Degrees!!

    Can you hook these up to large propane tanks without issue?

    • @MNMadeAdventures
      @MNMadeAdventures  12 днів тому

      I’m not sure. You would have to find a hose and regulator that would fit. It’s a small unit so I would say no, but you could try asking the manufacturer.

    Im surprised you got it to light, it wasn't locked. I have a GasBoss dual stove, looks extra the same. Mine has to be locked to light and often ,I have to press in a little red button inside wear the hoses hook up. Also My large ,I think it's 10 " frying pan doesn't work great on the stove ,seems the light, the fire stays very low , as if not enough oxygen

    • @MNMadeAdventures

      I think the manufacturer may have a new model or upgraded with the hard connector now. It said hard connector is safer than hose connector. I personally haven’t had any issues with the hose though.
