@@TractorWrangler01 i decided to buy it, you can see me bringing it back to the shop and getting straight to working on it in the next video! Thanks for watching
Loved the video! I noticed how you fully extended the rams when you parked it up at the end, a tip to avoid your rams rusting and pitting is to park it up in such a way that the rams are inside their housing, the less shiny metal exposed the better. That's what we're taught to do on excavators.
I’ve had a 955 for 26 years and it’s been a great machine with little problems. I hope you got it, they hold their value very well. You’ll make a good profit.
Great video!! I acquired an '89 855 with lots of attachments. Been a super tractor to this day. Mine sat for 5+ years before I got it and it took almost nothing to get it running. These older compacts are tanks. Love the video, Keep 'em coming.
Great video......I am in the process of buying a 1986 JD 755 which is the same tractor a few yrs older than yours.....Mine also has sat for 8-9 yrs and needs the exact same touch you just dd to this one.....thanks...
I enjoyed this video. I'm glad you put the extra effort into filming this experience for all to see. I just confirmed from another comment, but I did have a hunch that the hour meter was accurate. There should be a date code on the tires, which could serve as some useful intel when trying to determine if the hour meter is true with consideration to the rest of the machine. (ex. Tractor was built in 1996 and all four tires have the same date of 1996 on them.) That theory certainly assumes a lot so anyone reading this should take it lightly.
I can't believe the hour meter. I have a 1992 John Deere 1070 which has the 4 cylinder Yanmar engine. This one is 3 cylinders (Yanmar) but it is way too beat up to explain its condition even if it was sitting outside. Great video. Kind Regards, Craig
We had one one time start and run a while then die couldn’t figure it out. It was the return coming off the injectors, going through the tank it had a little dirt in it, clean the return line, going into the tank off of the last injector.
We just inherited a JD 750 that i know absolutely nothing about. Is the bucket removable so other implements can be put in it's place. Or am I expecting too much from such an old tractor? Thanks
I used to run one of those at work a long time ago. pretty decent machine. The engine cover on one side always rubbed one of the injector lines. I was just waiting for you run over the grill. The grill is super flimsy on those. Not sure why anyone would have placed it in front of a tire. Wonder why they chose to get rid of it.
Really liked the video. My first time watching you. I see this in alot of peoples videos...why dont you say how much they want for the lil tractor? Just wondered thankx god bless
Thanks for watching. Pricing is one of those things, half the people will think I got a great deal, the other half would have thought I overpaid, and in years time they may watch this video and think one they are looking at is 'worth this' because they know that's what some guy on UA-cam paid for it years and years ago. Its just easier for me to leave the pricing paid for things out of the video honestly.
@@hcr-motorworks OP said 1/2 acre. I have 28.5 acres and I use a 60 hp Ford 4600, and a John deere 4300 for light work. 100 hp+ is what you would need for 50+ acres, the tractor in the video is actually overkill for 1/2 acre.
Nope, tach works flawlessly. Legitimate hours, which is why i picked it up. Just wish someone would have stored it in the barn the whole time instead of in a field 😕
What do you all think? worth buying or pass?
You want help in knowing to buy or not to buy but you don't give us the asking price so how are we to help?

Depends on price but you’ll regret not buying it

Sat outside in the sun pretty much its entire life. I thought the same thing but the meter is original and in working condition.
I have a 955 and love it... has a bradco backhoe

Nice little tractor. Great content!
Thanks for watching!
That's really sad somebody would tear tractor up like that
I agree
Thank you for share and i learn a lot, 👍👍👍👍

The thing with hour meters.....is it on it's 1st ,2nd or 3rd time around?
hours were accurate, original meter…tractor was just left outside all its life :(
Good buy !!! Fix it up !

Its sat for tooany years being unused so they decided to let it go so someone else could get it back going again
Those are fantastic tractors
Yes they are! Love this little tractor
So the 68 hours explains the good tread left on the tires however they should be dry rotted from sitting in the sun.
Looking at a 750 1990 w/bucket. 850 hrs $? 4wd. Do you have an idea of how to pay for it?
A 750 or a 755? All depends on what comes with it attachment wise and how much your willing to pay honestly.
How’d you find it and how much is it
Just drove home a b7800 kubota from the neighbor been sitting for 6 years in the open.
Gotta love savin the ones going unused! Congrats!
engine sounds really good change the oil!!
Always full service when buying anything used
thats actually a very nice little tractor. it ill be fine. put in a battery and go. looks like a copy of a little yanmar
Its been a great little tractor so far
Great job keep up the good work thank you
Thanks, will do!
Did you buy it?

Buy it!!
Already brought it back to the shop!
@@hcr-motorworks I do not know how much you had to pay but I think you got a good tractor.
@@kirbyholton1082 it was cheap enough for me to buy it without haggling...and i always haggle
Oh, and I know a Great master tech that could do the maintenance. Anyone that would give a left nut should be 1st in line.
I like it
Me too! Gonna be hard to let it go one day should i ever decide to go that route
Yes by it
I did, check out the next video!
I’ve been looking at tractors for my half acre farm, but I think I need something bigger.
always buy bigger. That sized piece of land you need to be looking around the 100hp mark or bigger! :)

Tach cables snap on those... Probably why it has such low hours

Some guys have all the luck
Definitely got lucky with this one!
Gf
Get it
I knew this goober would use starting fluid
Its a youtube requirement for starting abandoned equipment! 😀
I think that one dog is older than the tractor....
Haha you might be right!
Glow plugs
Tell me where it's at & I"ll buy it
Sorry, Already taken 😅
The light going on/off is annoying
What light?
@Padoinky If the phone starts ringing don't answer it!
Don't ask wife, just bye it if it's in good price... Wife never understand why man bye old rusty toys... :D
If you bought this for 2K you stole it.
Buy it if the price is right get the price lower too 😂
I always like negotiating but this price is RIGHT as is haha
Horribly abused and neglected JD. My gut says leave it there and move on.
Pass... But send me the seller's number...
haha
