- This is The Dutch TV premiere of "I would do anything for love" of the singer Meat Loaf. He sang it on his Birthday september 27th 1993. The female singer is Patti Russo. She didnt sing on the record but she toured with him for more that 20 years (I guess)

One of the only people who could ever do opera, theatre, and rock n roll while telling you a story you couldn’t stop listening to. A truly legendary performer! RIP big meat!
This is what opera should be. When I first heard it when it came out, I loved; now, watching this video, I got chills.
rock opera was his thing for sure.
Very well said,... Meat Loaf will never be duplicated, he had it all!!
True words here.
RIP Meat Loaf 🌍💔
Truly right. I saw him live in Frankfurt (Germany), a lot of years ago with his "back out of hell-tour".The best live-concert ever. We all were sad, wenn it ended. RIP MEAT.
The power and emotion in his voice is so overwhelming. People throw the word legend around a lot but this is surely one of them. A true great. RIP 🙏
100%
Truly a legend 🙌
Very hard to watch without choking up. I might have heard this song sooo many times but it’s power never gets old and it still touches the soul cause Meatloaf was such a great performer. RIP
Rip meatloaf from Ireland 🇮🇪
The best. Definitely a true legend

I feel a true loss at this news today. Meat Loaf was a giant in the music world. His talent, energy & passion will live well into the future. x.
Well said!
god hated him , that s why he had to die
@@dobelweg7563 your insane
Miss him too ?
This man does not get the credit he deserves for his vocals. They have always been flawless
@Chris P Bacon some age more gracefully.
can't rag on him for that.
I wouldn't say flawless, but the flaws add to the character of his voice.
Much agreed my friend!
He is adored and loved by his fans.
Can One ask for Moore?
Meatloafdid get the credit and the recognition he deserved 40 million records and millions of fans prove that but Patti Russo and Ellen Foley who sung on the albums need to be credited more
Not to take anything away from Meat Loaf but Patti really knocks it out of the park for me, goddammit this energy and passion. What a woman
How amazing it was when we could to listen to real singers without auto-tune and a lot of technology... RIP. 🎸🤟
Yep and effortless
Amen RIP first time hearing paradise by dashboard lights, 1977, e of Baton Rouge La on our way to our favorite tubbing spot off Airline HWY. In love with our 17 year old friend, was 13 and was dreaming of her while listening to that song. RIP Meat Loaf!!

I'm 75 this year, but think he's a great performer. My dad, who would have been 99 this year had he lived, was also a Meat Loaf fan.

I agree I love Meatloaf
The look on Meatloafs face when Patti Russo starts singing is one of the most authentic moments in rock and roll….RIP you amazing man..
Patti Russo isn't the actual original vocal on this track , Patti just toured with him. The female vocalist is actually called Lorraine Crosby who is from Newcastle ( look her up on here) Lorraine still tours but didn't make a penny from this track.
Yes, indeed, John. He wasnt "only" a singer but a dramatic actor as well. And Patti Russo: what a beautiful real LADY! Her white robe in the dark area may become part of rock's history.
Go Patty Russo
Such a great combo, beauty and the beast ❤️
He was finally catching a breath.
He has such passion!!! Love him!! What a voice he has!!! My favorite group!!!! Such emotion he gives his audience, WoW!!!! We miss you so dearly....❤❤❤❤...😢😢😢😢...
My mother is 84 years old and is saddened this very day. She introduced me to Meat Loaf in the '70s. You're in the arms of Angel now!

Who ?
We are losing legends way too quickly this year. Meat Loaf being one. His songs stand the test of time. My parents loved them, I love them and my children as well. Rip Meat Loaf
so true
you said it
not to forget, we also lost Jim Steinman only months earlier, the songwriter/producer who worked with Meat Loaf on his Bat Out Of Hell album and on his comeback album Back into Hell
Should have got the poke.
Yes he’s a true Legend , I’m a senior and i think he’s the best as far as Rock and Roll Legends !!
It’s sad he’s no longer here , but he’s in Rock & Roll heaven . This song was my saving grace, when I went through very though times . He raised me up with his music , this song in particular . For all of us his Loyal Fans will live forever in our hearts ❤️ .

Thank you !!!
Cannot believe big Meat has gone to the big concert in the sky, I have loved his voice since outset and still have my original Bat out of Hell LP RIP big man, you made my ears smile so much❤️
One that never went to drugs or alcohol. Brilliant
Sorry to burst your bubble, but Michael Aday aka Meat Loaf, had some serious issues over the years with cocaine and alcohol. He overcame them and I believe he was sober for a long time by the time he died. Drug addiction is a disease which is all too easy to catch in the world of Rock & Roll. No shame, though! Same with obesity… we have to stop judging and shaming people for physical and mental (and sometimes both) illnesses that they have to battle very hard to overcome and often just can’t do anything about! From everything I know about him Meat Loaf was a good man who was devoted to his family, especially his children, and a very hard-working artist whose recordings and performances will live on!
Was he born again ? Hope so.
@@pacingtiger8750my only addiction is the assholes like you that people have to put up with

Meat Loaf (RIP) was born to sing this song. No one else on the planet could give this classic song the voice it needed to shine...Patti Russo is awesome also, and should make the original singer; Lorraine Crosby proud...
Michael Bolton is the only other male vocal artist that I believe matches Meatloaf

Very passionate performance. Music today is awful. It will never be the same as it was then. He will be missed by all.

My older brother gave me a Meat Loaf cassette back in the 80's when I was a teenager, he was 16 years older. I was hooked. In the 90's I heard that Meat Loaf was coming out with another album and when I 1st heard the piano intro I was hooked. I was lucky to catch a pre-tour and album release concert in upstate NY in a small theater. Great show.
My brother passed of cancer 6 years ago. Its hard to listen to MeatLoaf without thinking of him.
Thank's Ben

Same here!! Really has hit hard.
This is my song. This has been my song for 20 years. I have only one dream in life, and that has been my dream since I was 12 years old, and thats to find true love. Im now 32 years old and Im still searching, hoping and praying. Have lived a life of deprsssion and severe social anxiety and lonliness. I have no friends in real life, BUT I WILL NEVER give up on my dream of true love until I die. And one thing is true I will do anything for love, BUT I WOULD NEVER TREAT YOU WRONG if your out their my angel.
Dear Strickland:
I know you will find it for these reasons:
1) You are honest. Women love honest men.
2) You are not afraid to show your feelings.
Try going to therapy and taking medication for your depression and anxious.
I wish you the best.
You are so right. I have been married, but to the wrong woman, which I think may be worse than never having been married. It would for sure be worse if I didn't have three beautiful children out of the marriage. But I have yet to find "the one" also.
wow
I'm sorry to hear that you've struggled with the social anxiety and depression for so long. I actually have both conditions myself so I understand how lonely that can be. It's great to hear that you haven't given up on love! I wish all the best and pray that your someone special is out there!
Katie Z. Thank you for those kind comments. I sometimes feel that in this world, that guys like me who arent the best looking only have 1 shot at love, and thats if we have dinero. In this world image is so prevalent, and there is more to a person that that. The media and such make it seem that you must look a certain way to suceed in life and its a shame. I am to prove no matter how hard, that I can find love regardless of my looks without having to be rich.
Brilliant 👏👏😝Respect from Steve In Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🏄♂️🍹
