When I lived in England there were three celebrities who when they arrived were invited on just about every talk show, music show, cooking show, sometimes at football games. Lionel Ritchey, Donnie Osmond and Meatloaf. they became real people not just entertainers, it was marvelous.
Yes, when Jim Steinman, who wrote this song, passed away months ago, Meat Loaf said something like «See you soon»… So now they’re probably together in heaven, creating great music again! May you rest in power, Mr. Steinman and Mr. Aday! ❤️
My god, I miss this man. I'm not religious, but somehow, I'm feeling his energy here still. Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for how it makes me feel inside ❤
This theme for this song reminds me of Phantom of the Opera (masquerade ball) and the relation between Marion and Jim (Beauty and the Beast). Both of which are grand!
I would do anything for love is inspired by beauty and the beast. So I can definitely see phantom in this. Makes me sad that Celine's version has taken over. When this is just an emotional bomb.
The song and the video is the kind that give you a haunting effect, of course i meant it in a good way. Tbh if this was a movie trailer, i will definitely watch the movie itself.
When someone asks "what's your favourite Meat Loaf track"? There are so many to chose from but this is one of them. Michael (Marvin) Lee Aday you will be greatly missed. Sleep well sir.
Oh Meatloaf can reach inside you to your very soul and send you back to the times one has loved and lost and leaves you with tears streaming down your cheeks. This man is pure passion. I cant describe the way he triggers every emotion of love and passion in your soul. Oh Meatloaf you still send me. I turn the sound machine up till it shakes the house. Teach my kids wht REAL music is. Forever Meatloaf.

The thing about love, is nothing compares to your first love. It’s hard to explain. It’s even harder to forget. The tears and years that have gone by. The ghosts of past haunt your memories. Songs you have shared. Folly of youth may mean nothing to some. But to others, they can cry a River of regret and love haunts them. Because they never get over the first love.

First time I ever heard it was today...I am in my 60s and living this song right now. It brings me to tears.
I did not even know this version existed until today, after I heard the news of Meat Loaf's passing. O.M.G.
What a sad loss to the world. RIP Meatloaf.
Saw Meatloaf live at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, he was just Great, what a loss.😢
Musically, for me one of the greatest songs in rock history. Has everything in it that a good song needs. And it’s not a simple C-G-F-C style but complex, changes of tempo, scales and intensity. Just a masterpiece in itself.
don't need to be a technical gatekeeper to appreciate how good this music is.
Naturally, Jim Steinman was a songwriting and musical genius.
@@kezisthename I don't see gatekeeping anywhere. I actually appreciate the wisdom. Or maybe I'm just not a snowflake.
@@SouthPawArtist if u aint a snowflake stop being offended by what i said haha
@@kezisthename not really offended at all. Just saying that I don’t see the gatekeeping you’re talking about, like a matter-of-fact. Or that offends you, too? ❄️
When I lived in England there were three celebrities who when they arrived were invited on just about every talk show, music show, cooking show, sometimes at football games. Lionel Ritchey, Donnie Osmond and Meatloaf. they became real people not just entertainers, it was marvelous.
Rest easy Meat Loaf... This is one of my fave song... Thank you for this masterpiece 💜
Yes, when Jim Steinman, who wrote this song, passed away months ago, Meat Loaf said something like «See you soon»… So now they’re probably together in heaven, creating great music again! May you rest in power, Mr. Steinman and Mr. Aday! ❤️
This is my fave Meat Loaf song too. RIP.
My god, I miss this man. I'm not religious, but somehow, I'm feeling his energy here still. Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for how it makes me feel inside ❤
This song and video are masterpieces.
So true !
it's truly unbelievable
Not really. Celine Dion's version is so much better.
RIP Meatloaf. May your beautiful epic music live forever.
A marriage made in music heaven Meatloaf and Jim Steinman!
His passing left a gigantic hole in the musical cosmos that can never be filled.
No worries.
He is in Heaven just being an amazing angel!!
I sure love him.....
The song and the video is the kind that give you a haunting effect, of course i meant it in a good way. Tbh if this was a movie trailer, i will definitely watch the movie itself.
Вечная память талантлевейшему человеку... Его песни и клипы всегда вне конкуренции...
Meat Loaf! A poetic force of nature! Who amongst the present crop of singers and composers compare to him?
When someone asks "what's your favourite Meat Loaf track"? There are so many to chose from but this is one of them. Michael (Marvin) Lee Aday you will be greatly missed. Sleep well sir.
What's your favourite Meat Loaf song?????
Yes!!!!
@@georgej1019 THAT is the correct answer.
Still remembering the awesome music Meatloaf gave us. 😢
The first time i saw this man ( RHPS) i fell in love with his passion for a song. Have been ever since. This song is epic. His visuals always blew me away as well. Miss his genius!
This video is so full of memories for me. Long back as a kid i heard it first time in Vh1 and i was hooked and now i find this original video again. God bless you and now let me listen to this again.
You actually heard a song on VH1?! wow!!
@@chicku0310 yes mate. Long back when vh1 first came to cable in India. But i think your comment was sarcastic or?
@@dominiclhouvum8231 yep... Was being cheeky.... But I do remember the good old days when we could actually listen to songs on VH1 and MTV!!
@@chicku0310 true bro. those were the days. Now i dont even know if theres a vh1 or channel V anymore sadness.

Of all the concerts that I attended, his was the most memorable. Greatest live rock opera ever.

I know what you mean, I've been listening to all his albums all day, tears never leaving my eyes, heart broken but happy to have spent my years listening to the legend that is meat loaf, rip meat
1996 I recall ..I was supposed to go and buy this recording on Friday 13th sept 1996 , my husband asked me to get it for him when I went into town . I wasn’t able to that afternoon..I never saw my husband alive again from that day . RIP ❤️.
Never forget Never forgotten. You would be so incredibly proud 😊😢❤
The soft tones, the belting out of a song... he was so talented
Великая песня. Покойся с миром, звезда. Вы делали великие песни , и знайте, что во всех уголках планеты мы слушали и восхищались
Thank you for everything you've left us legend... you will live forever through your music.

A truly talented musician/actor, thank you so much for blessing us with your talent Mr Aday RIP 🫶🫶♥️
Iconic collaboration. This tune is so endearing and personal - Marion from M2M is our favorite group as well ❤💞 Miss this era so much
Bravo! Luckily, I was born in the 70s. I have grown, listening to the most amazing bands around. To this day, Meat Loaf remains. Marion Raven, you sing beautifully. I cherish the storyline behind It's All Coming Back To Me Now. I wish (never happen) more bands would sing of real love. The heartaches and breaks. Thank you for gifting the world with your amazing song Meat. You will rest easy, knowing, we're still listening. :)
Rest in peace you beautiful soul. This was one of those duos you wish had collaborated more. I like how their voices complement each other; Marion's voice went into another level in this song.
My mom introduced me to Meatloaf as a kid, and I was hooked. He was also one of few rock artists my dad liked. Like Meatloaf, they're gone now... but my love of them and his music is still there.
Same here my mom did same for me and my sister I wouldn’t know who meatloaf was before my mom introduced me to his music. And you watch his movie about his life it one of my favorite film by meatloaf about his life story ❤
I'm in tears and I miss her so much more than I thought I would...
We both used to listen to these tunes together and now she's not here anymore but the the memories are
That´s music, real music! Thank you Meat Loaf for this songs! RIP 😞
It's hard to believe that there will never be any more songs... 😢 You are remembered by more than you ever knew...
💜💜💜Meatloaf was an incredible man and his singing was just phenomenal
There were nights when the wind was so cold
That my body froze in bed if I just listened
To it right outside the window
There were days when the sun was so cruel
That all the tears turned to dust and
I just knew my eyes were drying up forever
… I finished crying in the instant that you left
And I can't remember where or when or how
And I banished every memory you and I have ever made
… But when you touch me like this (Touch me like this)
And you hold me like that (Hold me like that)
I just have to admit
That it's all coming back to me
… When I touch you like this (Touch you like this)
And I hold you like that (hold you like that)
It's so hard to believe
But it's all coming back to me now
… It's all coming back
It's all coming back to me now
… There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light
There were things I'd never do again
But then they'd always seemed right
There were nights of endless pleasure
It was more than any laws allow, maybe baby
… If I kiss you like this (Kiss you like this)
And if you whisper like that (Whisper like that)
It was lost long ago
But it's all coming back to me
… If you want me like this (If you want me like this)
And if you need me like that (If you need me like that)
It was dead long ago
But it's all coming back to me
… It's so hard to resist
And it's all coming back to me
I can barely recall
But it's all coming back to me now
… But you were history with the slamming of the door
And I made myself so strong again somehow
And I never wasted any of my time on you since then
… But if I touch you like this (Touch you like this)
And if you kiss me like that (Kiss me like that)
It was so long ago
But it's all coming back to me
… If you touch me like this (Touch me like this)
And if I kiss you like that (Kiss you like that)
It was gone with the wind
But it's all coming back to me now
… It's all coming back
It's all coming back to me now
… There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light
There were things we'd never do again
But then they'd always seemed right
There were nights of endless pleasure
It was more than all your laws allow, baby, baby, baby
… When you touch me like this (Touch me like this)
And when you hold me like that (Hold me like that)
It was gone with the wind
But it's all coming back to me
… When you see me like this (See me like this)
And when I see you like that (See you like that)
Then we see what we want to see
All coming back to me
… The flesh and the fantasies
All coming back to me
I can barley recall
But it's all coming back to me now
… If you forgive me all this (Forgive me all this)
If I forgive you all that (Forgive you all that)
We forgive and forget
And it's all coming back to me now
I'm crying so much now. I don't know if it's the emotion of the performance or the fact that I miss him so much. xx
i couldn't find this video clip version for several years, even in youtube. but today, i finnaly found it again. so masterpiece, so emotional, both lyric and voices!
RIP... Power Ballads will forever sound empty without your powerful voice.
Ah, lost two important persons this year. This kicked me crying.
To my love of my life. To remembrance of those passionate times, to being young free and wild. The forgiveness and forgetting that is required, It’s all coming back to me now. The past and future that are one. Salty blue I will love you for eternity.
One word... perfection!.... Bravo, Master! May your voice echo through the millenia
Der Song läuft im Moment in Dauerschleife..... 😢 Grazie...für dieses Duett ❤
Amazing, Mr. Aday. Simply amazing. Thank you.
Thanks for the great times, and memories,,, siani siani and anni anni, diolch yn fawr x
This is the best version. I remember watching it in 2007 in vh1. Feel nostalgic. RIP Meatloaf 🙏🏻
I agree with you that this is the best version...this was actually made for his voice...but you saying 07 is nostalgic makes me feel so old lol. Get the whole Bat Out of Hell 3 CD to hear one of the best with the best ballads. This man is great :)
I just learned that this song was written for Meatloaf. He freaking nails it! Love this one even more than Celines (who did it justice also). The video is awesome as well. Downloaded and on phone permanently.
Let's not forget also what an amazing voice Marion has well....great duet here, one of the best.
Your beautiful voice along with his, I doubt something equal to this will come along in my lifetime.
Legends never die. Thank you for the wonderful Music.
RIP Meatloaf
