bro im so dumb the instructions were so unclear so i just poured the lubricant on top of the belt LMAO SO NOW ITS JUST STAINED and then i watched this vid
Warning: direct heat will cause the lubricant to dry up very fast. Don't place the unit by a window with direct sunlight or near a heating element at home - including when the unit is in the folded position.
I also want to know how much silicone lubricant to use, my guess is probably a squirt on both sides, of a full pippett once every 3 months or every 130 miles, if you use it more intensive, check more often to determine if maintenance is needed. Maybe even once a month or once every 3 weeks if you use it 1 hour per day. Also a treadmill cover to prevent dust from accumilating on top, good maintenance can say f u to the companies that charge for repairs. They say if you put too much lubricant then the tread will slip a bit, in such case get a dry cloth and wipe the treadmill down a bit, make sure the cloth is lint free so no particles spread on the tread.
How do you know if your treadmill needs oil, either by its behavior or by feeling under the belt? I assume it should feel like there's only a thin film of oil on the platform.
My treadmill came with silicone oil lubricant. However the lid POPPED OFF when I was lubricating and now I must clean up extra oil. Any recommendations? I am currently trying, on advice from googling, laundry detergent w warm water & Isopropyl Alcohol (91%)
Cheers mate, fixed my brothers brand new 600$aud OVICX A2s using this guide, (Edit: my OTHER brother lubed it up but the belt was grinding on one side which has made it slightly frayed). Wasnt sure if it was compatible. Now I can shed some kilos!! Not to mention the nephews can run and push it to its limits and destroy it faster than I can try to fix it haha
Thank you verrrrry much. The owners manual tell us to lubricate according to its use: Monthly, Quarterly, Every Six Months. It supplies a plastic squirt bottle with a nose piece and a cap, but it DOESN'T tell what kind of oil it is. The owner's manual, is a JOKE !!!
Concerning the treadmills that don't have easy belt access, to keep you from having to loosen, tighten and re-align the belt (what a pain) , simply stand the machine on end and apply belt lube to the under side of the belt. May take two people.
some videos say loosening the tensioner while running it at the speed of 4...Do we really need to do that? And my tensioner is too tight, is it normal ?
Hi sir I have a question when I do some exercise and stop the machine and come back later to start it it doesn't start until I unplug it and plug it back again ( BH model ) Why is that
Can’t I just lift the belt and spray some avocado oil cooking spray underneath? Lol btw can someone pls advise how often or after how many every X days/months of use should we lube it? Thanks!!
I have a question. How did you become so cool with that creative bottle in air transition lol. In all honesty, it was wholesome but a great edit altogether. Thanks for the video
I never recommend the loosening of the belt, by anyone other than a pro, because while applying lubricant, the belt orientation with relation to the head roller can change. While they say here loosening tail roller is correct, reaching hands undertneath during the lubrication process can shift the belt orientation in regards to the head roller (roller with the drive pulley).I have seen too may time where this happens and the run belt is oblong...shifted to the right at the head roller and shifted to left at the tail roller.
I agree entirely, but some treadmills it's inevitable and in that case you just have to do your best to make sure you tighten everything evenly, the roller in the back is shaped wider at the ends so it will be more likely to self-center but as @rallisoify suggests it can become a whole process and is best to keep it simple if possible.
Shops locked down here in Ireland but we do have KY Jelly. Could this be used (even temporarily)? It is a water based lubricant - could this damage the treadmill?
Just bought a Proform treadmill today and the manual don't state anything about oil ,so giving them a call tomorrow the last treadmill i had was cheaper and came with oil
Thanks for the video... good job mate. The manufacturers of the Everfit treadmill I just buy, supply 2 small bottle of oil to which they say to tip "some oil" in a filling well on each side of the uplifted belt section. Problem is, a little like yourself, they dont say "how much" oil you should use. Should I tip out the whole bottle to both sides?
Hi I just got a new maxkare folding treadmill and the first time I turned it on it sounds like the motor is rubbing something I looked at it but I don't see anything rubbing I've looked online and it seems like it might be the bearings is there anyway to be sure this is the issue ?
EXCEPT ONE THING!!! I followed this video, but be sure not to OVERLUBRICATE! I used 4 ounces as said here and it was WAYYYY TOO MUCH. try one oz at a time...
I have lubricant my treadmill and tighten up the belt ! But it stills stop about ever 20 or 30 seconds, after someone gets on it! What's wrong ? Please help ! It's a pro-form 740cs thank you!
Probably a lower board issue, but hard to tell without looking at it, I would call a local treadmill repair shop to either get the board replaced or to diagnose what's going on.
My treadmill is hard to access from the top so I just go in on the bottom. I prop it up up in the rear and apply the oil on that side of the belt where there is easy access. I do it near the front as shown in the video. It all goes on the underside of the belt so it simply comes, oil ans all, around when I start it. Then walk of it as shown.
That's a very helpful demo on lubricating treadmill. I have a home treadmill, a (cheap) Xterra TRX1000, bought it in November 2020 but started using in full swing only February of this year. After using it for 2 - 3 consecutive days, a message - "lube" showed on the dashboard so I used the oil that goes with it the way (but not exactly) you demonstrated and the message was gone. The manual said repeat lubricating the belt every 40 hours or so of use. Last week same message showed again on the dashboard; I applied the remaining oil but the message stayed. So I ordered Treadmill Lube Oil from Amazon and applied a little bit more - after I cleaned the belt, based on the manual - inserts a towel under the belt and run for a few seconds. But the 'Lube" message does not go away. Anything I should do more - other than buying a new one? Ed Rivera
If the treadmill is operating properly, put a piece of sticky-note tape across the readout that says to lubricate. Write i-D-10-T on the tape. Works for me.
I have an older treadmill my mother gifted me and I'm not sure if I'm just too heavy for it or if it needs to be lubed I weigh about 280 lb and the treadmill is probably 20 years old it's called ProForm XD I don't know anything else about it don't have the user manual or know what year it was released all I know is it's at least 10 years old
Your video was informative, thank you. But after doing it all I still get the beeping and the OIL error. Did I put less oil ? Can you please let me know. Thank you.
I have a GoPro2. When walking at 5.0, the belt stopped abruptly, causing me to fall. After waiting a bit, I tried walking again. The same thing happened. Will lubricating the belt prevent this from happening?
Thank you for this v clear video. I got my old treadmill 2nd hand frm o friend. Have used for about 3 to 4 years not knowing I had to do this as no manual was given. It now suddenly stops. After I mistakenly sprayed with WD40 found out on google search I had to lubricate with a silicon lubricant and not WD40. I bought one online but instead of stopping suddenly at 20 mins it now stops after 1 min. I live in Malaysia where there does not seem to be much help. Please please tell me what I can do
Yes you should, but at that point, you are removing some of the silicone, so I wouldn't recommend putting your hands in to check. Once applied, it should be good to go!
bro im so dumb the instructions were so unclear so i just poured the lubricant on top of the belt LMAO SO NOW ITS JUST STAINED and then i watched this vid
Loooool, it’s okay. You learned how to do it now xD
I came here to make sure it goes under not over😂😂
There’s a lesson in this 😂
If you lube the top, you'll be at fast as Mohammad Farah 👍🏽
same here
Thanks! Simple, straightforward instructions with no long-winded extra chatter.
Thank you! This helps but You didn’t mention how much oil to use?🤷♀️
Thank you very much - the instructions that came with my treadmill were nowhere near this clear!
Me too, the Instructions that came with my treadmill didn’t really tell me anything
The instructions on my manual made it sound like i would need a degree in quantum physics to pull this off
@@stku9261🤣😭😭

Thank you, you're a life saver :)
The instruction in my treadmill's manual is garbage.
It's in Chinese?
What should I use as a lubricant?
This is so helpful and clear. Thank you! 🙏🏼

what about cleaning dust under the belt before you put oil?
One thing you missed - HOW MUCH LUBE DO WE USE?

15-20 ml…maybe maxxxx 1 tablespoon total …less is better!!!!!!!
@@Sukiipod Thanks!
Can you use either lubricant or oil? 🙂👍
safety first, unplug the machine
Can’t come out tonight, why? O I’m lubing up my treadmill loool
How do you know if your treadmill needs oil, either by its behavior or by feeling under the belt? I assume it should feel like there's only a thin film of oil on the platform.
I have to ask is wd40 a bad lubricant for a house small treadmill? any recomendations?

Thanks for the video... helpful to understand this important part of lubricating the treadmill belt.
Thank you! I watched a couple of how-to videos on this topic, yours was the best.
How much should I apply after replacing the belt?
Where could I buy lubricant from???
Thank you verrrrry much. The owners manual tell us to lubricate according to its use: Monthly, Quarterly, Every Six Months. It supplies a plastic squirt bottle with a nose piece and a cap, but it DOESN'T tell what kind of oil it is.

The first six seconds feel like a Vine. 😹
Thank you for this video. How much oil should we apply?
I use 15ml (with a syringe) on each side, totalling 30ml per application every 3 months (Or more if used more than 3 times a week.)
Why did my belt completely stop in the middle of my workout? Lube? And how long should a drive belt last?
at the bottom, the carpet is well centered, but at the top it runs to the left, what could be the problem?
Thank you for this! Saved me from trashing mine
some videos say loosening the tensioner while running it at the speed of 4...Do we really need to do that? And my tensioner is too tight, is it normal ?
What lubricant did you use on the first treadmill
Hi sir I have a question when I do some exercise and stop the machine and come back later to start it it doesn't start until I unplug it and plug it back again ( BH model ) Why is that
Lol the start was hilarious and cheesy
How much lubricant should I use?
Between 1800ml - 2000ml
About 10ml
if I lubricated with oil 3 months ago and did not use tape, do I have to lubricate again?
Can’t I just lift the belt and spray some avocado oil cooking spray underneath? Lol btw can someone pls advise how often or after how many every X days/months of use should we lube it? Thanks!!
I just bought this treadmill and the belt is not moving. Do I need to lubricate it first before starting the machine ?
Thumbs up for the lube toss cut scene....!!!
If my treadmill is randomly stopping should i try this fix?
I have a question. How did you become so cool with that creative bottle in air transition lol. In all honesty, it was wholesome but a great edit altogether. Thanks for the video

water is not good. use silicon lubricant
What if you mistaken to put the oil at the wrong place. How can one clean it off?

*can i use engine oil for the lubrication? Automobile oil is very very good for use of lubrication*
Different belts but same Lubricant which does the same Crap

How much should be applied. All of it, half? how many ml?
If I use Mobil (Engine Oil) in replace of Silicon oil, will it makes any problem?
Thank u.
I heard fork oil was good to

Treadmill plugged in, just like you normally would.

What do I do for a squeaking treadmill? The equipment is brand new and the belt has been lubricated. There's also a rubbing sound from the belt.

My treadmill has started making funny noise what shall I do ?
Thank you! After the lubrican is properly applied and the running belt has run for a few minutes... should I feel it oily if I stick my hand inside?
Yes you should, but at that point, you are removing some of the silicone, so I wouldn't recommend putting your hands in to check. Once applied, it should be good to go!
Thank you ❤️
Thank you for the info:now how many time must we do this action 😎❓
