- Treadmill Running Belts recommends applying 100% Silicone oil every 20-30 hours of use. In most cases your treadmill is an expensive piece of equipment, Therefore it makes perfect sense to take every precaution necessary to protect your investment.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that once you set your treadmill up it needs no further maintenance. NOT SO!
Most manufacturers add a layer of lubricant over the deck to all new treadmills. However, over time this layer can dry out or wear away with use. Without this layer of lubricant, heat and friction can cause major and expensive damage to either your deck, Treadmill Belt, control board and/or motor. By routinely applying Silicone Lubricant to your deck you are reducing the risk of damage, and adding longevity to your treadmill. - Навчання та стиль
oh no wonder my treadmill is making funny noised, I've never even lubricated it once lol. thank you for this information - maybe just in time :-)
NOTE: This product works exactly as described. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(!!) to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!
useful tip! I know I had to do it eventually but didn't actually realize the importance of it.
OMG! My "treatment" is long overdue! Thanks for reminding me guys 😎😎
sounds like a plan! I'll happily follow your advice to increase the longevity of my trust treadmill :-))
definitely worth it to invest that lil time into it. these things will overheat like crazy if you don't, trust me.
Sweet! My Treadmill is no purring like a cat! I owe you one 😘
this is good advice guys, appreciate it! 👍
Finally exactly how MUCH to put on. Another video said 1 ounce.... how are we supposed to work that out? My instructions are badly translated and contradictory at best. Was too scared to wing it.
Hi a line of silicon oil down each side of the machine under the belt is usually enough.
hard to say how much as all machines are different sizes, but usually a line down each side is enough to let it spread usually around 7-10mls
Thanks for this!
Can I use coconut oil?
can't see the because of the ads
What do you recommend: Water-based silicone or other products? Is any type of lube acceptable as long as it is meant for treamills or can water-based silicon damage something? Thanks.
How do you know when your treadmill needs more oil, assuming you don't know how long you've been on it?
you can check with your finger there should be a light film if you rub it on the deck under the belt. If you think its dry just add another 5ml on each side walk on for 10 min and retest.
Where do I get this Silicone Oil?
you can get it from us at www.runningbelts.com.au we deliver world wide.
Hello. Question please. My treadmill has a plastic cover below the belt, should I apply silicone under the plastic cover or under the belt which between the belt and the plastic cover??
Apply to the top of the plastic cover directly under the belt
How often should you do this?
You should apply/check the silicone oil every 20-30 hours of treadmill use or every 2-3 months whichever comes first
If I use Mobil (Engine Oil) in replace of Silicon oil, will it makes any problem?
Thank u.
HI, No you can not use engine oil, it will damage the belt in no time at all. ONLY USE SILICONE.
