    When you say lubrication should be done every 3-4 months is this in a commercial or home environment?

    • @JohnRock14
      @JohnRock14 4 місяці тому

      depends how much you use it. If you used it say twice a week, I would say every 3 months you should check it and lube it

    Dear Mr. John, I’ve just bought folding treadmill and their lubricant and after I watched your video I realized that it goes dry too fast. I’m not talking about 3-4 months it’s only been nearly 1 month and I lubricated it like 3 times. Do you think it’s normal? Is it because it’s foldable? Thank you so much

    • @jamiekeenan3995
      @jamiekeenan3995 2 місяці тому

      If you have a JTX sprint 8 pro or sprint 9 Pro then you would need to press and hold any button to clear the Oil light. This is a reminder to check if it needs oiling and not telling you that you need to oil the machine. lubricating it every time it shows the oil light can lead to over lubrication. the machine should only be lubricated every 3-6 months.

    I feel like an idiot as I've yet to figure out how to even use the bottle that came with my machine. Thought all I had to do was remove the silver foil inside the lid but nothing is coming out and it seems to have a solid felt seal. I think the instructions are talking about som self lubricating thing I'm meant to refill but its a very bad transaltion.

    What if we put too much oil? Can it ever be too much oil or we should not worry about that?

    • @repmortskcab8483

      I did according to instructions on my threadmill and had to replace the deck 6 months later. The silicon oil "leftovers" got stuck on the deck, probably due to the friction heat, created some hard uneven surface that started to rub on the mat and create a friction noise. The service engineer that replaced the deck told me that most people use too much oil. These days I use less oil and use my hands to rub it out on the deck to better control the amount of lube I put on. Using these tools and gadgets gives me no clue how much lube I have on the different areas.

    • @repmortskcab8483
      @repmortskcab8483 Рік тому

      Hard to use spray, unless you remove the belt. I only loosen the belt so I can get access to the deck, so I rub the oil with my hand, with a thin silicon glove

    3:35 thats awfuly ALOT of lubricant. 3 syringes would make the oil drip... wont they?

  • @naveedanjumnaveed5404
    @naveedanjumnaveed5404 2 роки тому +2

    Dear Mr. John,
    It would have have been better to loosen the belt by loosening the alignment / tension screws at the rear. I think inserting a screw driver can damage the deck or the belt, I am not an engineer though.

    • @nikosalonikacity
      @nikosalonikacity 2 роки тому +1

      I think that by loosening the tension screws you will get in more trouble than the one you try to avoid.Just use something that won't damage the surface of the deck, something like plastic or wood.

    • @naveedanjumnaveed5404
      @naveedanjumnaveed5404 2 роки тому

      @@nikosalonikacity Maybe you're right. It all depends on who is loosening the screws and whether they can bring them back to their original position without disturbing the alignment. Anyways, I was able to get my hand, along with the lubricant bottle, under the belt by lifting it a little bit with the other and it did the trick.

      Thank you. Mr John for making the video while others sit and criticise. For those that critique you could always put tape over the screwdriver blade but I’m not an engineer either. Good free advice Mr John

    How MUCH lubricant do you use???????? How come I cannot find ANYONE with this info??

    • @phoenixashes0013

      Did you miss the part where he says “15-20 ml”? Or are you talking initially? If you have people installing it, they’ll generally do the initial lubricant for you. Or if your doing it yourself, it’s a bit trial and error. But 15-20 is a good starting place.
