Great machine I prefer most because of the AC/DC-function. Now I have a HBM200TIG without pulse. I miss this pulse though. Over here in Holland a 6010 rod can be run more easily because we have standard 230V and reach the higher amps. It's supurb on 110V and 230V what is the setup of this machine. Very learnsome Vid and what a great introduction. Greetz from Holland, Marcel Knippers.
Please do a vertical STICK weld, perform 1/8th 7018, 3/32 7018, and 6010/11 1/8th and 3/32, please show if youll be able to get good vertical welds going up and have no issues? mine was a true struggle with vertical welds going up the line. Had much better success in regular when its on the table.
People think Lincoln and Miller and Hobart are the best while Arc Captain are rising up to take that Spot all them other companies make all the welders very expensive while Arc Captain makes it super affordable Can't wait to see if they make a engine drive welder if they do then Lincoln, Miller, Hobart they are done for good. also my Arc Captain welder doesn't have a issue with 6010 I use 5/32 but I need to use 140 amps to use that rod I want to get 1/8 or 3/32 maybe it will run a lot better at low amps Cant wait to try Blue demon also 2T is when you press down you need to hold it 4T is press down let go and when you need to stop tap the trigger again to shut it down These welder DO a HELL of a lot better with 240 Volt all welders do
no it wont take their spot, at least not in near future, i own this arc200, it is not a good welder. IT does not produce consistent results, especially when you perform vertical welds, it was horrible, lot of bird poop, with some good welds in between using same technique and same rods.
I really wanted to like this welder, its small, light, compact, but man, what an inconsistent results, finally had okay weld on one vertical side, performed same technique on the other side and it failed miserably with lot of bird poop using same amps and same rods. I'm not impressed with this machine. Anti-stick option is useless, and arc force found to be useless and did not noticed any results. Rods still do stick and lots of bird poop with this welder. I only used STICK on this one.
Were you on 110v? My Lincoln on 110v has problems using 3/32” and damn near wont strike an arc using 1/8” 6010 or 7018. Stick is useless with 110v as far as I’m concerned.
Thanks Zac for assessing our machine! Your welds are excellent! We anticipate that our welding machine will be helpful to you .😊

Lol brother trying to figure out how a knob works for menu selection/value adjustment is both hilarious and frustrating.
That was a tough watch.
