- One of the best Races in the European HillClimb Racing Year, Rechberg did not disappoint in any way, with an outstanding entrylist with an incredible number of Monsters present, making for one of the most impressive Top 10 we´ve ever seen, with some tremendous machines and giving us a chance to see some of the fastest Monsters battling directly with each other for the first time.
Here you can discover who really was the fastest between Schagerl´s Golf Mk2, the super Skoda of Veroslav Cvrcek, Reto Meisel´s Judd V8 powered and even the newly built McF1 Silhouette of Marek Rybnicek.

Some notes about the video:
- Very few clips of Werner Hofer in the Escort Cosworth because it crashed oon the first day and only completed a Total of 3 runs during all Weekend, so there´s less footage of him. An amazing effort breaking into the Top 10 with a lot less runs.
- Although Reto Meisel retired due to clutch problems as stated on the video, we included some of his footage given how quick he was during training and the time present is of his two fastest training runs combined.

Why was Drotár so slow? Usually he is within 1 second from Cvrček.
@@mionellessi3086 he had problems in the first timed run. His time was 10 seconds slower than on the Second timed run. If that did not happen he would be on the Top 10 too. Although not as close to Cvrcek as usual still.
@@HillClimbMonsters Thanks for the answer. Maybe the new big wing on Cvrček's car made such a big difference. And of course it has to be really hard to keep up with so much younger driver.
Whats the engine in this fabia? A stroker tfsi or s2000 spec engine tuned with bigger turbo?
S2000 spec highly tuned with bigger Turbo ;)

AMENNN !!! Obviously they have changed the way of the exhaust , and, hopefully they have enlarged it, because they just had it too small so far at the back .
you know its gonna be good when that mitsubishi is only at 10th place
And he was super lucky to be on Top 10. There were at least 3 other cars that would easily break Top 10 if not for mechanical problems ;)
That McLaren running that Mitsubishi powertrain is blowing my mind..........

These guys are brave. I'd never have nerve to drive a 700hp + monster on these narrow, winding roads with those speeds.
That's why European hill climb is the deadliest, this is real racing.
Woah,that's some crazy entry list right there.Awesome,beautiful and fast-what's not to love about these monsters?Cvrcek and Schagerl had quite a fight for victory,who knows what would be if Meisel didn't have problems with clutch and my opinion is it would be very hard for him to win,especially against Cvrcek and Schagerl,who were in a leaugue of their own.Many thanks for this upload.

@@kopronko The car only uses a Shell inspired on the McLaren F1. Underneath it´s a Norma chassis using a 1.7 Mivec engine like the proto that Vaclav Janik used in the past ;)

@@kopronko yes, it´s a de-stroked 4G63 and the Norma is a prototype like the one used by Faggioli.

@@kopronko Not saying the others were shit sweetie, I just like the sound. If I wanted to just win a race, I'd build a fully electric ride, but combustion engines make music, the SLK is one of those. I also love the yummy S2-R here.

Thats Not a real McLaren!!! Its a Silhouette car with a Mitsubishi engine.
IT is "sort of" a McLaren F1... The outer shell uses the shape of the McLaren F1 but the chassis is of a Norma prototype, while its engine is a 1.7Turbo Mitsubishi Mivec. In the next days we will have a dedicated video of it online ;)
No one drives MClaren F1 on the street. They're kept in a garage at constant 20°C under a silk blanket
