Cheers Lee. A rich vein of common-sense from history - still relevant and a suitable accompaniment to the physical aspects of enlightenment. The paradigm is shifting. Thanks!
Been watching Lee's work for a number if years now, mainly for the physical skills. Have to say the mindset that lee promotes is just as facinating. For certain, we are in a spiritual war, so fortifying the mind and body will be of vital importance.
Thanks for your time and work on this channel you might like this quote, even tho it’s not from a stoic , St. Thomas Aquinas defined effeminacy as the inability to put aside pleasure in pursuit of the arduous good. That is, a shying away of doing hard things because it means giving up one's comfort.
Great vid, Lee. People can be fooled by the current crop of 'modern' stoicism though which portrays it as some sort of self-help, proto-socialism. Real Stoicism is also a spiritual path not just what we currently think of as 'philosophy'. Philosophy in ancient Greece and Rome meant an approach to life, both ethical, physical and spritiual - not some dry, academic nerdy exercise.
This is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing from your core. Mathew Tropsha
