I think it's media hyperbole to suggest that the tragedy of his mother'd death should make Prince William's life necessarily tragic. In fact I would suggest that so far William's life has been a long way from being tragic. Thanks to his mother's insistence William and his brother were as far as possible exposed to " ordinary " life so far as that was possible within the inevitable constraints of being not only royal but likely one day to have the top job. If as many predict he will make a " good " king, then much of the credit should go to his mother. His shyness need not be an impediment ; King George VI was painfully shy but is rated as a well-loved King in Britain's darkest days ; if justice be done history will rate him as a great king. William also has the great advantage of having married well. I would rate Kate as being at least as good in her role as was the Queen Mother in hers - an unflagging support. To sum up I would say that rather than being a tragic figure he is in many ways a very lucky man.
I concur! Because someone has tragedy in their life, they shouldn't be viewed as a victim. It diminishes them as always a "victim" this or that first. However, he seems to have learned to cope with the pain of his mother's tragic death, which he will always feel, but shouldn't make him a victim.
I was 7 when I attended a boarding school overseas. I was always homesick and struggles with acedemics all my life. Though not exclusive, the small school was a religious one and the decade I was there did ireputable damage to my sense of self worth which took the better part of THREE decades to fix. Cruelty beyond belief. The richer they are the snootier they are. William would make a fine king. His family is in order and he has his mother's heart.
I love him very much. Looks so kind, down to earth, genuinely humble, responsible, looks beautiful just like his mother. I swear that with God's will that Prince William would make the best king ever. He also has a good wife which will support him ever so well. The 3 children (????) Are sooooo cute God bless that lovely family. Love from ALGERIA
It's very difficult if not impossible for the 2 princes to really accept Camilla, the woman who destroyed their parents' marriage, who was the cause of their mother's nightmares.
Charles and Camilla were long lovers even before Diana. It is sad, yes because Diana is younger and much more beautiful. But it is clear that Charles and Camilla love were truer. Camilla has behaviour well and doesn't intrude.
Its just crazy to me that after Charle's reported horrible experience in boarding school that he insist his kids go to one. I hope Charles reign as king is short and William gets to take over for a long time. He seems like a genuinely good person.
Not all schools are the same or have the same ethos and regimes. The school that Charles went to was the Scottish school Gordonstoun which i has very strict discipline, cold showers, out walking and hiking in cold harsh weather etc etc. Prince Philip went to that school and he loved it. Charles was a bit more delicate and hated it, so it really depends on the individual personality of the pupils whether they enjoy the school regime or not. Charles hated the regime at his school but probably approved of the one at Eton. All schools are different in their approach to the lifestyle and regime they follow.
Of course losing one's mother unexpectedly at the age of 15 was a horrific event, the suddenness of it was surely the very worst thing. Many people lose their mothers at or before such a young age and they have to get on with their Life. Just as Prince William has always done. Bravo to the strength of character he has always shown in his Life.
My mother and Sally Carrigar's mother were mucho alike. Carrighar's "One Day on Beetle Rock" is sublime, but it's her autobiography that talks of her mother: "The only thing my mother taught me is how to make tea and fudge." I was always alone. Kids don't question things like that too much, just keep on keepin on. Sally and I both found our solace in writing.

I would hardly say "tragic". He's had the same life most heirs to the throne have had. The tragedy is the break-up of his parents marriage and the loss of his mother at search an early age.
The loss of Diana was planned murder in that French tunnel, Charles wanted to get rid of Diana, because he wanted Camilla as his wife and that's what he got, SHE will NEVER by a royal to me, and no way will I think of Charles as MY king.
I am so proud of Prince William and Princess Catherine. They have done so well coping with the Pandemic situation for us. PW has been through the same tragedy and Mental Health problems as PH. He doesn't keep crying 'victim'. He had help, and is doing very well with it.
“Passed away” in a car crash, seems like an odd expression for some reason. “Killed” or “died” seems more appropriate. People “pass away” from old age or quietly in their beds after a long illness.
@Gillian Walton I think that there was an order is a silly idea. Like anyone wanted her to die. She was dating a Muslim? So. The royal family doesn't give orders anyway. The prime minister does, like that awesome scene in The Iron Lady, when Thatcher said "sink it". Or the paparazzi maybe thought they were ordered to get photos. It was an accident. People sadly die from car crash accidents a lot. And the risk of that goes up when the driver is doing over 100mph in a tunnel trying to stay ahead of photographers on motorcycles. At that speed the most minor touch of another vehicle can overturn the shit. And lastly, the driver was well over alcohol limit. Just my opinion. I couldn't tell if you were asking who really did give an order, or if you were being sarcastic.
Princess Kate will be a great Queen. I wish they would give Princess Di her HRH back. William said when he becomes King he will make sure she gets her HRH title back and they should.
He and his brother were affected in a way we never know. Everything about these whole story is so tragic. William seems always sad, but at the same time very resilient to the future he is destinated to accomplish. Harry is an eternal rebel! He seems to be the most affected due to his behavior during his teenage year! And now, He opted to stay way from royal duties claiming to protect his own family from the media. William seems resignated, but Harry seems to be searching for something lost in himself. I pity for them both... You may have money, title and everything, but peace and mental health are some very important things. I wish them luck and strength to deal with the future ahead. Things will never get easy for each one of them :/
It is impressive to see how Prince William lead a life of service, loyalty and responsibility after having to listen to both his father and mother admit publicly to extra marital affairs. It is a credit to his character to have accepted Camilla as his step mother and continue a cordial relationship with his father. He owes this strength to the way Diana has raised him and showed him unconditional love. He will be a great king and I just hope Charles would one day, in the hopefully very distant future, abdicate in his favor.
I think that, after the death of his mother, his grandmother and grandfather, along with his father and other senior royals had a huge role in his life and his preparation for life and to become a king one day. He was not left as an orphan with nobody to care about him. I agree with you, it is impressive to see how he did respond to the tragedy and all the scandals and chose to become the man he is today. But he ows his strength to all of the members of the family, including, of course, his mother, he had great teachers all the way. I hope to still be alive when he will become King.
For Monarchist of Harry's age like me, Prince William was always like a big brother figure while growing up. Commoner like me calling him like a big brother is indignifying for him perhaps but he is our honour, he is our pride, he is our King.
God love the princes, William and Harry. They have suffered a lifetime at a very young age. With no where to hide and recover out of the spotlight, they were forced to be mature adults. Quite a lot to expect from young boys. Now, they are adults and it is the Grace of God that can heal their broken hearts.
I've thought that since watching a documentary about Prince Phillip, he was such a good looking young blonde man, no wonder Queen Elizabeth fell in love with him. I also love the way he never held back to say it like it is.
Oh boy! Very hard to be born a royal. And I'm not making fun. But life as a person without this status, it's doubly harder. He was protected with real life. I wish him well.
Not at all a drowing man will grab on a straw for safety my God is the same for Harry he was living in a dream that no one could imagine all because of the two heartless creatures But God is in control not sometimes all the time!!🙏🙏🙏
Bc his mom was the ultimate victim in his eyes. She was placed on a pedestal. Her admission of her own affair shattered his perception of his mom. He already thought his dad was an ass for having an affair and in a kid's mind 2 wrongs dont make a right. Children dont understand human nature in its complexity. He didn't understand his mom's affair spawned bc of the neglect and misery she felt from his dad's affair. And he didn't understand his dad's misery of the way he was raised for why he had an affair in the first place.
His mom wouldn't have gotten an affair if his father loved his mom. It was her way of getting back at her husband. Both parents did the child wrong, but then, Diana was desperate for a man's love, especially her husband's love. Charles, Diana, and Camilla were all committing adultery. May God have mercy on their souls.
At 2:00 William: I don’t want to be the King Harry: well if you don’t want it, I’ll do it. This just remind me of Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margareth’s The Crown Episode of Margaretology. William has always bean there for Harry, the problem here is Harry isn't there for his brother William, nor will Harry take sound advice from William or his family.
William's "roving eye" was the reason why he'd said that he didn't want to marry before age 30. He was honest about wanting to sow his wild oats and to make sure that the woman who would become his wife knew exactly what she was marrying into and could handle a very public life. She showed grace under pressure and, most importantly, that she truly loved William and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him and that she was mature enough for her future role in the monarchy. To me, his actions prior to their engagement and marriage showed that he truly loved and cared about Kate. His taking things slowly, and yes even dating other women, was to ensure that he was ready to commit only to Kate. He saw how his father had treated Diana and didn't want to make the same mistake. My ❤ melted for how much care for her he showed after the wedding. He even held her gown's train when she exited the carriage at the reception/brunch venue. Compare their behavior on their wedding day with the wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Charlene. Charlene cried as she walked down the aisle and during the ceremony. Albert was callous toward her, imho.
But the monarch knew an unplanned pregnancy from dating around could easily happen forcing a marriage that was unsuitable to the crown and she didn't want him to wait too long. . But William learned well from the Queen, Philip, and the courtiers.
The idea of sending childern to boarding school is to encourage them from an early age to be independent and self reliant and not too clingy and over-dependent on parents and other family. I would imagine that someone who is destined to become King should learn early in life self reliance, independence, and self confidence. Once he is king or even before that his life will be a lonely one and he will not be able to share many things with his family, due to security implications, so it is a very different life from that of most of the rest of us. Even Diana managed to understand that William had to be brought up in a different way to Harry. And the results have proved that he is now fit to become king.

I raised my six children by myself. One thing I taught them at an early age, is that, no matter what, they will always be siblings. They must always love one another. Sometimes, that becomes very difficult. one of my daughters chose to become a dancer in a club downtown. Her brother became quite angry with her decision. I went to him and told him that no matter how angry he was, she was his sister and would be always. At this point, all six of my children, love each other and will always.,
I believe that thoses are good boys or young men. They seem to be good daddy's also. How can you not feel for them they lost their Mom at a young age and really had to deal with a lot.

I won't either. they caused the death of the most loved princess of Wales, DIANA
I agree
Camilla destroyed nothing. Everything bad that resulted is on Charles. He could have closed the door on Camilla but chose not to.
Charles and Camilla were long lovers even before Diana. It is sad, yes because Diana is younger and much more beautiful. But it is clear that Charles and Camilla love were truer. Camilla has behaviour well and doesn't intrude.
It takes two to wreck a marriage. Every one forgets that Diana wasn't that great a wife.
Its just crazy to me that after Charle's reported horrible experience in boarding school that he insist his kids go to one. I hope Charles reign as king is short and William gets to take over for a long time. He seems like a genuinely good person.
Yes and that's why he didn't send them to the school he went to.He sent them to Eton hoping for a better outcome than he had.
Biology will make it short.

@@urs1386 probably the flat earth society gave the order.

Half Brother !! Harry Hewitt !!
I just had a stroke reading that
William has always bean there for Harry, the problem here is Harry isn't there for his brother William, nor will Harry take sound advice from William or his family.

Prince William I thank you for addressing mental health, I've had to deal with certain things but I'm dealing and I deal every day I keep my head up high and I thank the Lord for the life he's giving me I feel wonderful now and I have my family ❤️
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Mental Health is a disease whether people believe it or not. I am one of those so I know. Hope you get better. Love always.
At this point, all six of my children, love each other and will always.,
You don't know that. Pray that they do but you cannot assure that.
Wishing him, and his family health, and happiness.
I believe that thoses are good boys or young men. They seem to be good daddy's also. How can you not feel for them they lost their Mom at a young age and really had to deal with a lot.
i love Queen Elizabeth. Happy Birthday to her. William and Catherine are also wonderful!
I don't like the Queen she was very cold hearted with her kids that's why their a mess
The tragic life of William. He always has a wonderful life. He doesn’t care about finance , money problems.
Life is not always about money and comfort.
I think you're confusing happiness with money. Granted, it's easy to be happy if you have money, as long as the responsibility isn't that heavy. However, royalty is a heckload of pressure. And his mother was indirectly killed by that pressure.
You honestly think he wouldn't hand it all back to get one day more with his mum?.Other not about the money .he didn't choose to be born future king.
@@moonbeamsrainbows3080 do u think William wake up at 5am to get to work? Do u think he is worried about the money to paid the rent and bills? Do U think he is worried about how is going to raise his 3 children? Do u think at night he is tired of work 12 hours? I would like to have the miserable life he has.
@@carlact5587 oh boohoo this is a media article. He can't help what he was born into.yet you vilify him because of it .Stop being so nasty because his life is different from your own.He still feels the same loses everyone else does
I have always felt sad for the lives they have to live having it already planed out for you, never truly being able to do or be who or what ever you dreamed of. you can have all the riches and power in the world and still wouldn't be happy. it's kind of a artificial life
So they opt out, dude. Living in luxury and meeting celebrities sounds rough, eh? They can leave at any time.
Prince Harry
He is a delightful man and when you lose a mother you never forget her. He has a good marriage and 3 lovely children which I am sure gives him great joy.
On his 21st Birthday HRH Prince William: 'My guiding Prínciple in life are to be honest, genuine , thoughtful of and caring, It is not a question of wanting to be, it was something I was born into and it is my duty'.
i am deeply sorry for the loss of your great grandma the queen may she rests in peace amen
Queen Elizabeth was prince William grandma, not great grandma
sorry that the brothers lost their granddad, their confidant, and strong Pillar. Rest with the angel's Prince Phillip
Diana and Charles were so caught up in themselves that they didn’t put the children first. Now Harry has turned on William. Thank God he has Kate to support him.
PRINCESS Diana was and always the beautiful woman on earth. Prince William should be very proud of his mother.
It's not always easy to loose your mother at a very early age or parents to divorce
Prince William is beloved dearly
Sending kids in boarding school as a Royal family tradition. No wonder they're weird.
No weirder than the other thousands of kids that do the tradition of boarding school.
No weirder than a lot of kids who go to ordinary school!
@@lovingmayberry2000 good point
Your father is the one that messed up big time not your mother. You poor mother had no choice but to seek the comfort of another man.
It's that desperation to be loved. She would have been a great mother to her kids were it not for the protocols. Charles' infidelity took a toll on her mental health..it says it all in her body language. Even her eyes..its asking for help.
Diana messed up
Anopuresakmopuyresa🥰
Prince William and Kate are class personified, William takes after his Gran the Queen and will be like his Grandma a truly Great King.
Be a great king prince william..the whole world waiting for
Poor William looks like his father, but has more of his mother’s character.
No he looks like his mom
@@Sa.d.bo26 👍👍👍
@@jeanbeget no willoam like diana..thanks GOD WILLIAM THE FUTURE NOT HARRY
It is the other way around. He looks like Diana but acts like Charles
He may need to study international settlement laws and banking and be a good prince as he is now, and continue on his path. He is all good. He is kind, honest, and really patient. He is a thoughtful, soulful son thanks to his father's family and his wife's family . So sad his mother was taken so young.
William is like his mom he's a people person and a loving husband and father, he will be a great King, I wish he and his family God Richest Blessing throughout the rest of the year, will keep you all in my prayers, and Harry should always remember how much his Grandma love and care for him, although he and his wife continue to disrespect her, remember you have a family now, how would you feel if your children treat you like you did to your Grandma and your father, remember what goes around comes around, and ask your grandma to forgive you for the way you and your wife treat her, GOD say we should honour our Mother and Father, that includes your granddad and grandma that your days will be long. Enjoy the rest of your night.
PRINCE WILLIAM has always been level headed & matured Royal.
What a beautiful Mother, so kind and so caring
Diana is a wonderful person, a caring princess and a distinguished figure in the royal family
