It’s no secret that the #1 risk factor for infidelity in men is having a father that did it. It’s a cycle that constantly repeats itself- & one has to make a conscious, intentional decision to not go down that path. If William did, I wouldn’t be surprised- but I hope if he did, that he wises up & stops the negative cycle.

Fidelity is not a part of the deal, no more than it would be to any of the other hired help.
Williams lawyers took action to prevent the media from discussing his alleged affair and to prevent the truth from being discussed. Williams father, grandfather and all the male line going back to forever had their mistresses and bits on the side. This is the norm in the royal family, one that even the queen was expected to tolerate. Is it really likely that William would break from such well established traditions, given how true to the long established model of royal marriages - and women's place in them - his arrangement with Kate has been to date?

The only thing that makes me think it may be true is the fact a lifelong friendship was ended for some uknown reason. That is very telling. Historically, royal marriages were 'arranged' usually for political reasons. you can go back over 1000 years,. Charles and Diana's marriage was also 'arranged'. He did not love her, he always loved Camilla but Diana was more 'suitable', a beautiful blonde teenage virgin from a 'suitable' family. Remember the interview on their engagement when Charles answered 'whatever love is'.
Really, that marriage was doomed from the start. Her death was unfortunate, the driver was drunk, Diana was not wearing her seat belt, the car was being chased by paparazzi. Charles eventually was able to marry the woman he does love, she should be Queen Consort in time. William and Catherine is a real love match, you only have to see how they look at each other to know that. The Queen and Prince Philip was also a real love match. I do hope that the historical 'politically suitable' marriages in the Royal Family have gone for good.

The work of being a Royal is very demanding, even if YOU don't consider it work. And she does exactly what is asked of her. She is expected to represent the Crown, which means she must be impeccably dressed, she must be in good humour and gracious at all her scheduled events, which sometimes means exhausting days. Catherine does it all, every time, with a perfect smile and an engaging personality. She charms everyone she meets and that is no small talent. It also happens to be the exact quality the Queen desires in someone who, when her children no longer need her, will take on increasing demands as the Queen must relinquish them. I believe the Queen is well-pleased in Catherine. Catherine has proven devoted to the needs of the Firm.
