This is the most precise, well-made tutorial I´ve seen so far anywhere on youtube. I´ve spent about 6 hours and two full Fuji battery cycles now going through the setup of my new X100V with the help of this tutorial and I´m closing in on the end of the first hour of the tutorial :-) I´ve managed to identify some 8 features to quick-pic from the Q button already, so I´m customizing whlist trying every feature and trying to keep in mind features like left-eye-auto tracking which I will probably never use as long as I know it´s there but will need at the day I forgot about the feature..... And this is with 40+ years of (hobbyist) photography experience including digital stills since 1999. Awesome. I would just wish that - as I will revert to this video frequently - there´d be a table of contents with bookmarks in the video, as some people seem to manage to include in their videos (I have no idea how much even more additional work this would cause so I am more than happy to give you the absolute PERFECT, DUDE! rating. THANK YOU, Michael, this is more than outstanding.
I am only 11 minutes in but I am singing your praises to my wife. I was so excited about buying this camera but also daunted by trying to figure it out. I feel so much better having found this video. Thank you in advance for making this easier 👏👏👏
This must have taken you weeks to create! I appreciate it very much; I have been a Sony mirrorless user for some years now, and just picked up my new Fuji x100V. This is just the detailed guide I was hoping to find online. Thanks again!
Thank you, Michael! This is just what I was needing. I got my X100V just last week and was looking for someone to present more than a "this is a great camera, here's what I like, you should buy one" video. Excellent manner of progression through the use of this wonderful camera.
Dude - I just got this camera and you definitely saved me countless hours of RTFM frustration. I typically wait for the movie and was happy to find it had been released right here on UA-cam! Great tempo and just the right amount of background, refresh, and new info to really tie the room together. And a good day to you sir... 52:42 "This beautiful model's face" LOL
Simply the very best tutorial I've experienced in all my years of photography. Just bought this Fuji camera. My excitement about the use of this camera is doubly increased by the clarity of Michael's brilliant organization. Thank you so much for your thoughtful presentation.
Very clear explanations and teaching. Sometimes seems like you are teaching "Photography-101" but overall extremely helpful. Thanks a lot. I never comment, but this time I am very impressed!!!
I just got this camera as a Christmas present. I've never had a Fujifilm camera before and it was all new to me. I'm only 23 minutes into this video, but it is EXACTLY what I was looking for to explain the nitty gritty of this camera to me. I'm hanging on every detail!
Michael, from the bottom of my heart lol THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this phenomenal guide on the Fujix100v. THIS was what I had been searching for and after going through so many tutorials about how people set THEIR cameras I was like, damn how am I going to grasp this. Reading manuals are great but I am a visual learner and this was truly such a help and answered so many questions I had about the intense settings this beautiful camera holds. TY TY TY!
I have watched quite a few videos on the x100v and by far this is definitely the best one. Your presentation was top-notch, and easy to follow along with. Very well made and extremely informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Now I’m really ready to get the most out of my x100v
What a Great video. I am a dedicated Canon shooter, who purchased this camera for street photography. Never would have gotten through all these controls without this help. THANK YOU!
What an absolutely fantastic tutorial on an incredibly capable camera. I am currently doing research on a new compact camera specifically for travel. Sidenote: I am an old-school photographer. I bought my first camera in 1980. I am absolutely amazed at the strides that have been gained in photography and digital photography specifically. Looks like my search for a camera may have concluded. I think I will be getting the Fuji XV 100v. Thank you.
wow, thank you man! All this and for FREE?! Love this channel! Bought your tx-3 guide / photography course after I watched your other free one. Tremendous value, thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. The manual is quite daunting and there are so many features that the camera has which I have been able to get in to thanks to your guidance here.
Best tutorial one could find, to get to know all the features of the Fujifilm X100V camera. Great and detailed explanation. Much better and understandable than reading the manual. Thank you very much!
This video was great for me - I'm not new to photography, but I'm definitely not a pro. Nice tutorial on how to navigate the Fujifilm system for someone who's normally a Sony and Olympus user. Just the right depth of information, and easy to follow.
This is THE best video i have ever seen , tomorrow i go to the shop to buy me this camera , by seeing this video I’m across the line and buy this camera. Thanks so m,inch and keep up these good informative videos
I’m very new to photography/cameras and I wanna buy this one so bad and all the videos I was looking at weren’t detailed enough but this helped me so much!!! Definitely buying. You’re amazing for this.
The Fujifilm X100V is a brand new game for me after years with Olympus and Canon. Your video was a BIG help to me to guide me in setting up my camera controls to my preferences. Thank you so much!!
Wow. The best tutorial of a camera features I seen yet. New to Fuji coming from Sony this video saved me hours on learning the menu and camera functions. Great video! Also, the jump ahead feature based on topic is a winner.
As someone who is trying to start using this camera after years as a Nikon DSLR shooter, I really appreciate your holistic and in-depth intro to the Fujifilm system as well as this specific model of camera.
Thank you for the explanation and decoding how the camera functions. I never commented on any video ever before. But couldn't think twice before commenting this time. Really planned and organised for a beginner, also it was in depth one can use for later extensive usage of the device. Thank you!
I just purchased my first Fujifilm camera, this one, and I should get it in about a week. Good thing because it will take me about a week to get through this video :). But seriously, thank you for taking the time to do this. It will save me a tremendous amount of time.
Thank you for this video man seriously. I just got this camera and all this info is really useful in terms of trying to understand camera lingo and just learning the camera itself. Good stuff bro.
Thank you so much. I’m looking to purchase a x100 variant and this is amazing. I’m watching this in byte sizes to get a good idea about the camera. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for this very thorough walkthru the settings and explanation of options. I mentioned this vid to Kyle and he was like, "Was it Michael?" and I was blown away. Small world you guys knew each other already. Again, nice work.
@@MMaven does the x100v have the ability to tether and be used as a webcam with the Fujifilm application xwebcam? can the x100v tether to lightroom with acquire?

🤣🤣 @52:40 focusing on the 'beautiful models face' I was trying to figure out who you were talking about 🤣 Just kidding! Great tutorial, I have punched in a number of setting so I'm good to go. Many thanks for sharing this comprehensive and informative tutorial. cheers👍
Wow! I will watch this video time and time again. Have had X-100S & X-100F. Ignorance was bliss but I did enjoy these versions. Armed with your tutorial, I will enjoy my X-100V more. Thank you and well done, Michael. (Love the X-100 mainly for the leaf shutter).
Excellent instructional video! I understand the Fuji system because I currently have an X-E2 but plan on getting the X100V as an ultimate walk about and travel camera.
Hi Michael, thank you so much for this, it couldn’t have come at a better time. I was fortunate enough to receive my X100V yesterday and it’s my first Fujifilm, so timing is perfect. Brilliant 😀
Thank you for a brilliant video I will now be able to buy this camera with confidence knowing I can open your video for all the help I’ll need. Thank you
Thank you for doing these complete tutorials! They are so helpful and I've learned a lot watching them. I have the T-3 and love it, but adding the 100v is just fun. It's a point and shoot on steroids. I've never had a point and shoot that didn't just end up sitting in my drawer, there's no way it's going to happen with this camera. It's coming with me everywhere. Thanks again, Michael.

This was GREAT! I just got this camera and so far I love it! Question: I noticed in the focusing modes (46:40) In manual focus mode, my focusing wheel does not actually focus. I do have back button focus turned on, perhaps that affects the manual focus? I also noticed that I am not able to make the zoom happen. Either the digital zoom that you mention earlier in the video or in the focusing modes part (zoom focus). Could I be missing something? thank you for putting this together - SUPER helpful!
Excellent tuto. You just missed a point that I would've liked explained: the *_Digital Teleconverter_* feature. Since it's based on interpolation, keeping the resolution of the JPG it would have been interesting checking the results of the 50mm simulation vs the add-on TC lens.
Hi mate, great tutorial. I set eye detection and I cannot see a little square tracking the eye (or the face in face detection) in any mode! C and S. any ideas? Thanks
Hi Michael, Why is back button focus not an easy thing on this camera? I use it on my DSLR but can't get it on here? Great tutorial - Big effort putting these together. Well done.
18:56 - what exactly is this weird frame at the upper left corner is showing? I expected EVF to be there, but it's just a rectangle with something like a focus point in it. How do I sue that and why?
Please help🙏🏻.. The size of the focus square on the video mode doesn't change no matter what I'm trying to do. The Focus Area function in Video Mode is not working for me..
Thanks a lot for the video! I now feel confident in using this camera after receiving it two days ago. I was just wondering what you or anyone else here thinks of the battery and charging time?
