I suspect that his busy early season race schedule combined with so much focus on the classics may have blunted his legs a little bit for grand tours, but he still managed a very successful season. He’s probably the most naturally gifted all-arounder since LeMond and Hinault.

Pogacar can't be beaten by traditional attacks. After a hard race, Evenepoel should let his teammates respond to attacks, closing them gradually. After, he must increase the tempo and hold it at high threshold. Will he drop everyone? Who knows. In the Vuelta, he did it with Mas and Roglic. In San Sebastian with Hindly and Yates. In the worlds with Pogacar and Bettiol. In Liege with Van Aert and Vlasov. We will see

Why the fuck can’t GCN make a decent highlight real that’s more than 6 minutes? NBC delivers 30-60 minute highlight reels for the big stage races and some of the monuments, but for a 6 hour race all we get from GCN, as usual, is 5:30 minutes. Truly disappointing. I never watch GCN on UA-cam for this reason, but since there’s no NBC coverage for this race it’s all there is. What a fucking bore.
