  • Video to see original condition of bike • I bought 2022 Honda CR...
Quick video I made with my first impressions of the Honda CRF300L compared to my Tenere 700 and CRF450RL. Looking to make more riding videos in the future and hopefully a overnight camp soon.

the lower crash bars have saved my lower plastics. the hand guards that bolt to the triple tree, and not back to the handle bars, act as crash protection for the majority of the upper portion of the bike. ive dropped mine 4 times so far and there has been no damage.

Honestly with how messed up fairings are from previous owner i'm just going to rock no crash guards. If i replace fairings i'll get some type of crash protection. I just mounted the cheap knock off handguards and honestly was the easiest handguards i've installed compared to barkbusters on my tenere 700 and the old cb500x. They'll serve they're purpose lol

@@Jeredsmith gotcha. I just like to let people know about the triple tree hand guard mounts, because some people are not familiar with them. It seems that most people install the traditional mounts which cause the hand guards to rotate on the handlebars when you crash.

Ktech rear shock, the lowered version is $545US. what does the Rally Raid rear shock cost?

Rally raid level 1 rear shock is $575 and you can get a hydraulic preload adjustor for extra. I'll probably do that because it's super nice to be able to dial in more preload or take it away in seconds. Had it on my old cb500x

@@Jeredsmith that’s a fair price. Is the level 1 rear shock shorter than the stock shock? The Ktech lowered version shock is 1 inch shorter than stock. The hydraulic preload adjustment sure is nice. I’m sure it’s a lot more expensive though?

I can't confirm that i'd have to look at their website but level 1 keeps the stock height of the bike has if you have it off the kick stand. so when you get on the sag goes correct amount then you have a enough spring and dampening to not go straight through the stroke.
