One of the most solid, balanced, and interpretively successful versions I've heard of this extremely difficult study, Kobayashi manages to foreground the character of the piece without making a spectacular, empty technical exhibitionism.
Une belle profondeur. Ce ne sont pas des "notes pour des notes", mais, d'abord, et avant tout, de la Musique. Et quelle belle sonorité ! Quel magnifique discours ! Bravo, Mademoiselle !
Beautifully played! This recording was a great help for my study of this piece, especially when I was recording it on UA-cam, thank you Chopin Institute for sharing.
I wanted to say that too lol…this musician’s name is pretty close to Emi’s…heck, even her surname is the same as Emi and “Aimi” also sounds pretty similar to Emi tbh.
@@ahronsen8649 No need to debate this. Remember that a man has more power than a woman. No matter how much you try to debate it, a man always plays stronger, not all women play strong.
@@Paganini-Liszt You hold such a sexist view. Why do you assume men always perform better than women? There are numerous prominent female performers which entered this Chopin competition, and have demonstrated their strong technical ability and musicality.
So true lol ,her name is so close to Emi’s ,”Aimi” sounds so similar to Emi and heck her surname is just literally the same.As if the author of Your lie in April predicted this canon event. What a cool coincidence.
Who are you, judge of competition that bigger than Chopin international competition? Some finalist of some biggest piano competition in the world? Judging other interpret make your sound like shit
Can you play that piece? Can you play that good ever in your life? Can you be the finalist of Chopin competition 2 time in 2 continuous competition and have third prize? Stop judging the queen when you're just a FAILURE, it just make you more FAILURE
@@phucngo2324 Yup, I can play the piece haha. It’s really just an opinion, you should stop taking it so personally. It’s not like she’s bad, it’s just not an outstanding performance of the piece.
As someone who has played the piece, I can say with certainty that it lacks inner voicing during the first page. If you are able to notice the actually lack of voicing in the first page (which is very rare unless you have played the piece), it is likely that you have actually played the piece before. I am currently learning it with my teacher and inner voicing was one of the first things she taught me with this piece. You should not be so quick to pass judgement towards others. Especially if you have no knowledge about their actual background.
Okay performance. Needed to be louder at times, and you slowed down sometimes in poor ta, particularly in the sections where the right hand is going up and down in quick succession, which the score, as followed by the most celebrated performances, clearly indicate are supposed to be played at the same tempo as the initial section of the right following the introduction of the piece.
今までもこれからも、ずっと応援してます!!
The performance that plays every Chopin's tone powerfully and brilliantly is very wonderful.
Not really.

She played it so well ! An amazing sound
Aimi, you are an amazing musician!

One of the best interpretation of this etude I've heard! 👑
the amount of courage it takes to play that on stage is mad

Plus it's really hard in terms of stamina

how she makes it look so effortless and easy shouldnt be allowed lol
Браво!
i want every person who disliked to experience the pressure of that stage.
what??
Winter Wind isn't that hard, but let's appreciate her because she's a girl.
Consolation Prize :)

To me, Aimi Kobayashi is the winner of that competition.
1:19 видно как она разозлилась, когда попала мимо нужной клавиши в этот ответственный момент :((
но все равно исполнение восхитительно, браво!
Slower than any other version I’ve heard, but good job!

1:19 ela esbarrou em uma nota errada tenho quase certeza
mas de resto ela tava impecavel, tanto nos tempos e na intensidade
Who the fuck is singing the main melody while she is playing???
Great voicing, yet I think it lacks power.
I agree especially at the beginning of the phrases in the right hand
