Yes, you may see the end result but you haven't witnessed the hours of hardship this gentleman had to endure in order to reproduce this piece so perfectly. Put yourself to the task and I am sure you will also be capable of this!
You can develop the skills if you focus on learning how to do it with the less possible effort. This is the most difficult task in any instrument. There is a struggle between what you think it works and what actually works. Focusing on the latter is what makes the process easier. Now, musicality is a different topic. @@KaspbrackEddie You can create different sounds by approaching notes a certain way, i.e. hit the note fast and direct, stroke it, use your wrist to move into or out of the note at a certain speed as you play, etc. The way you decide to approach the key gives a distinct sound that can lend itself to expressing a certain emotion. Your choice of how to approach the key is guided by the feelings you want the piece to convey. Professional pianists often practice a million different ways to strike a note, which increases their "color palette" and can help them bring more artistry to their pieces. Coloring also often involves dynamics; the larger the range of dynamics a pianist is capable of producing, the wider their color palette.
The Chopin competition is happening now in October
This piece and its interpretation were very instructive art references for me, both in terms of piano technique and form, and the power of chromatism and reference which I use in my photography.
Thank you, and I look forward to supporting your work in the future.
This was executed very well. Showcases not only the impressive amount of time you have spent to master your craft, but also that you have the ability to play something so difficult, and still include emotion. Not many people can play this piece and put so much care into every note. Bravo!
Yes no one ik understands when emotion is put into the notes and it just pisses me off
Jin Spence not every one is gifted, you should understand people like me 😂😥😔😊
we can learn the proper way to perform pieces through his performances, but when he's in a playful mood (wearing casual clothes) he just does whatever he wants with the pieces...still wonderfully though, thank God for his talents 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👆👆👆
If I remember correctly, the guy won a national chopin competition. Or something like that.
@@BigBoi653 This guy? No. He was planning to enter the next edition of it though. Fairly certain it's happening next year.

GOLDEN BAZZER
I can't believe he played all this with his hair basically covering his entire view lmao, really impressive cover, I'm envious of your ability to work that hard for a piece, your piano-playing is stunning. Thanks for sharing this!
Once you learn the keys well enough you can play blindfolded.
I know, as soon as it becomes muscle memory, although I wouldn’t say you can play completely blindfolded, or well, I can’t play perfectly accurate and blindfolded at least.
@@Simon-xl1yz Eh, I know it's not quite the same thing, but I've been typing 30+ years and I can do that with near-total accuracy (unless I'm really tired) without taking my eyes off the screen.
Fuchsia 'tude Uhm.. typing and playing piano are two very different things, like you said. Typing accurately without looking is quite a common skill. I can also type without looking accurately easily.
@@omegarodent765 No, I don't think that is really comparable. He's not playing two separate songs on each hand, and honestly the left hand melody is fairly simple in this etude. But I do type most words with both hands, and often alternate hands letter-by-letter within the same word
If you ever put out a CD, make sure to announce it, because I'll buy it for sure!!

bravo!
bravo---!!!!!!!!!!
Sumino ściskam Ciebie z calego serca jestem dumna z Twojej interpretacji....czujesz Chopina ból i smutek
Didn’t know Kylo Ren could play piano. Pretty impressive.
Eitan Man plot twist: he was using the force the whole time🙌🏻
Did you know that Chopin is the og emo?
Yep he looks like kylo ren. No wonder he swings his lightsaber so fast.
searched him up. He looks kinda like liszty

Best piano performance I've ever seen. Not only a pleasure to listen to but also a pleasure to watch.

This is one of my favourite pieces. I like "revolution"& this by Chopin...👏👏👏👏💖
He’s literally my definition of a perfect pianist.
His playing of this étude is so dang good. I really mean it. He keeps the tempo perfect while adding musicality using dynamics and left hand overlapping techniques. It’s perfect. I am really picky about the tempo of this étude and i dislike how some people slow down while doing the runs going up. Hayato Sumino does if perfecfly

I just spontaneously burst into applause after this finished! It blew me away, with, well, what the others in the comments express so eloquently, about the technique and expression and everything! I just had to express my appreciation somehow, even though I knew rationally that he couldn't hear me. AMAZING job, Hayato Sumino; thank you for sharing the fruit of your labors with us!
