Great compassion, I am going with the Air 2S because I want the higher quality sensor and more stability in the wind, plus extra collision detection just in case. Safety Tip: Not a good idea to charge your batteries overnight, make sure you are near by. It's rare but those lithium-ion battery can catch fire if they are old or faulty and it usually happens while being charged. And it's not just a little smoke they burst into flames like a jet engine once they ignite.
You are going to love it ! I couldn't believe the difference between the old Air 1 and the Air 2S, it's totally another world ! And you're right about the batteries, but reality is that it's reaaaaally difficult not to... They take quite a while to charge, since it goes one by one, and often I'm out shooting the whole day, and can only charge it at night... But I might be more careful when they aged a bit! Thanks for watching and leaving this suggestion !
I just ordered a mini3 and can't wait to get it ...I hope it's as resilient as my mini2 which I've crashed, submerged in a waterfall and still fly's perfect 😂
hahahahahaaha looks like the improved collision sensors will be very helpful ! I think it definitely will be as resilient, these small drones are incredible machines! Thanks for watching dear !
Thanks a lot Gasant !! Ohhh I'd love to go back there !! Being from Rio, Cape Town is the place in the world that matches perfectly with it ! THanks for watching !
Thanks for the video, I do some videos like weddings and festivals and only have Mini 2 (usually friends, but paid just lower price) so I was thinking either Air 2S or Mini 3 Pro, so I decided to keep Mini 2 in case I need to fly in city and etc (I have A1&A3 license) and will get Air 2S as my main drone and keep Mini 2 for certain situation, thanks for great video.
My guess is the Mini 4 will have a base and pro model. The pro will completely phase out the Air series. It will have extended batteries that will make flight times and stability comparable to the Air 2S but still have the option for under 250g flying. The non pro model will be more comparable to the current mini 3, with some of the advanced features of the mini 3 pro
good video man! I used to have the mavic pro. but sold this one. Now I'm really undecided whether I should buy the air 2s or the mini 3 pro. here in the Netherlands you also have to do a drone course for 200 euros. if the drone weighs more than 500g. What do you think is a good successor to the Mavic Pro?
I have a Mini 2... Sorry... I HAD a Mini 2... It fell into the sea and it doesn't work. I am planning on buying the Mini 3 pro, but I saw the price of the Air 2S... It is almost the same as Mini 3 pro and I don't know which one to get...🤷♂ Sometimes I use it for UA-cam but mostly for fun and beautiful images and videos for myself. Air 2S is safer because of the upwards sensor and I think performs better image and video quality. Would be grateful to hear your opinion.😁
Hi dear !! So, overall for image quality, sturdiness and safety, Air 2S. For a bit lighter and easier to carry but still powerful drone, the Mini 3 Pro can do a lot for you! Really depends on how much are you willing to carry it and if the price difference matters to you or not that much :D
1. The Air is faster and that's useful for orbiting large things like islands. 2. The gimbal actually works at top speed on Air because it's stronger 💪 The lack of portrait video on the air is really annoying and I miss it constantly. It's also outrageously loud and I can hear it like a helicopter even when it's 200meters away. The only way to be quiet is to fly slowly. Zero stealth on the air😪
Hi Calvin, agree with all points! Regarding the noise I've seen some low noise propellers but i've never tried them to understand how much lower it can be. In the meantime zero stealth, hahahaha
I disagree on one of the points. Dji mini 3 pro can definitely do jobs for clients. I knew many people that work in wedding videography that used the Dji Mini 3 pro
And I agree with you on this :) I wanted to say that the Air 2S is a higher quality / sturdy drone to guarantee a well done paid job, but surely there are some exceptions, and weddings are perfectly one of them. I've seen also many people using the Mini for that. The disadvantes I see are related to how strong it is if the weather/wind is strong and how well it handles noise when it begins to get dark.
If the upgrade you'd like is visual quality, no brainer, Air2S ! If you really need a small drone and super capable, upgrading the mini1 to the mini3 will seem huge!
Imo none of this justifies the price of the mini 3 pro being almost 2-3 times that of the mini 2. Here in Texas I got a mini 2 fly more combo for $300. A mini 3 pro fly more combo is $1000+
Yeah, it's in a very thing edge price point, getting too close to the Air2S and a bit too far from the Mini 2 and 3... But you do get a better drone... all coming down to the budget, but value wise, maybe the Mini 3 now might be the sweetspot, especially if you already have a controller.
The Mini 2 is an amazing drone, not to worry at all ! If you're a bit more careful about exposure and situations in which you're flying you'll get by with similar quality most of the time !
@@FlyEnri Seem to be really good. Nothing to compare it to but it has all the functions and most the buttons are programmable so no complains. Screen is very clear and bright.
Excellent video. I'm an Air 2S owner. In Ireland it costs euro 30 for a two year drone licence and you have to complete a basic theory exam first. Doesn't a drone use the battery quicker if it is just hovering, than if it is moving (at a reasonable speed)?
Hi dear !! Ah good to know, quite cheap then for a 2 year license! I've tested in both cases and always hovering allowed for more time flying than going in any direction even if slowly. One very basic mistake for example is being nervous that the battery is finishing and trying to come back super fast. With the Air2S sometimes I put in Cine mode and come slowly back and filming to enjoy the last couple of minutes of battery.
Air 2S is a far superior drone to the Mini 3. The mini range is the budget end of the scale. For roughly the same price the Air 2S its a no brainer. Hopefully the new controller will become compatible with it. That would be the perfect combo.
Definitely, but still if weight and size are a problem, you're in for a treat with the Mini3. And the controller you mean the Smart one with the screen and the Air2S? Because they are compatible.
Why should the air 2s be far superior? Video Quality is nearly the same, low light is even better on the mini 3. The downsides are less stability in strong winds, photos arent as good. But Mini 3 is cheaper, lighter, can tilt the gimbal up and shoot vertical videos. Maybe the Air 2S is slightly better, but not "far superior" or am I missing something?
Hi, thanks for the great comparison! I am thinking about getting an Air 2s. Does it mean I can theoretically fly with this drone in areas that are prohibited by law? Is an authorisation in the geozone (blue) with the Air 2s also possible in the city without any problems?
Hi B D ! There are two levels of security you'll face here. One is the local laws, and the second is what is perceived by the DJI app. Often they match, sometimes they don't. The DJI app will block you even from getting off the ground if you don't send a request to unblock with the documents you have attached, confirming you have authorization. When it's about the local laws, but the app doesn't see the forbidden area you'll manage to fly, but you'll be breaking the local laws, and later the flight log can be used as proof against you, so totally not advised.
