Coming soon to a dealer near you, with a $10k market adjustment!
$10k market adjustment…..if you’re lucky!
Or more
@@jasonpitts8395 Just checked the Ford Canada site…”Build & Price” is up for the Ranger Raptor, MSRP to start is $80 140 with delivery/PDI, etc. Add beadlock wheels like shown here ($2K option) and spray in liner, taxes…$93.5K! Nice truck but that’s insane. I know it’s apples/oranges but I paid $60K plus taxes for my ‘13 Raptor SuperCrew…miss that truck.
Lots of dealers move specialty fords at msrp
Was told $20k mark up at dealer
The Raptor front end looks better than the regular Ranger. I like that it is more of a traditional bumper. Great review!
Considering it's missing the 3 amber lights, which is what the Raptor popularized, it's not THAT great. They could have at least made the outlines of the headlamps amber, but nope. Also, not having physical lockers buttons is so dumb.
It looks like the Maverick, hoping for a refresh already. 🤣
@@Lexman00 You only put those 3 amber lights if the truck is over a certain width, it doesn't exactly belong to the Raptor styling, the only reason they made the headlamps amber were to match those 3 amber lights anyway, you need to chill out dude and stop acting like those lights is what makes a Raptor what it is
@@leofhr2966 Stop being dumb, or you make me suspect you're not really a truck guy.
@@Gabez82 Exactly 💯
Had one in australia since october 2022. I have property that I use as a rally track. This is a fun vehicle.
Sounds awesome 👌
What state are you in I’ll come and see you and with also my canam x3
Sounds fun!
Most competent drivers who don't have a rally track out their back doors, however, will probably have a lot more fun with the money if they use it to buy a Cayman and a basic ute if they need one.
I'll take things I cant afford for 500 Alex.
With low low payments of $1,300 a month with 0 down. Take advantage of stretch payments for a lower monthly payment with an 8 year loan and double the interest. 😂
😂 😢
@@crtmojo2705maybe if things go south for Ford they will offer 0% for 72 or more
@@foreshee10I agree, so many ways to make extra money.
At least it's cheaper than the bronco raptor
I think these will outsell the F150 Raptors, just based on price alone. Also, most people don't need a full-sized truck and I think this will pull more people in.
I think they will also be a lot easier to live with, the full size Raptor is pretty damn wide.
@@rts3613 Fully agree, it's hard to go through the bank drive through in my 18 Shelby Raptor, so I hope my new Ranger Raptor is a little better. I also want to actually go off roading the Ranger. I've never felt comfortable taking my $120k Raptor down any trails, but the $60k Ranger doesn't worry me as much.
@@BearMacTXShelby Raptor is cool freakin truck tho
Do what I did, buy a gen 1 (got it 24k 68k miles) mod it a little and off road the hell out of it.
@@rts3613 I looked hard at a Supercab Raptor a few months back, and even with the shorter wheelbase its width was a deal breaker for me. It could turn pretty tight but that didn’t fix the fact that it’s as wide as a normal parking space and would have been a serious pain on tight wooded trails.
Already caught one at the dealership...$87k+5k MA. Ford will never learn.
my local ford dealer has a F150 Raptor for 80k.......and F250's under 60k.........
No version of the ranger raptor comes anywhere near $87k so you were mistaken
Maybe in canada cause that's what I'm finding them at, bit much for a ranger
Andddd they'll still sell! Almost like it wasn't meant for poor people
"Caught" as in you bought one? Who's not learning then in that case, you or Ford? 🤣
Good luck finding one for $60k. These are going to be $75k minimum for at least two years. Dealers suck.
The last 2 years you say.
Got mine for 60
If you build one online and wait until it’s ready for deliver, the dealerships can ask for a premium? Or just for the ones that they have it in stock?
@@HoolaaBaaloonot sure good question
Ordered mine at MSRP just gotta call around and see which dealers will see at sticker.
Been driving mine for a year. This a scaled up Mustang. Awesome experience and reliable.
Remember when you could basically buy any truck on the market with a teachers salary? Yeah, that was pretty great.
have you seen what teachers make now days?
@@MrWildwilly48 When I grew up, a loaded z71 was 30k and a teacher’s salary was also 30k.
They were very basic too back then. Trucks back then fell apart fast. This truck is far from basic and is built tough.
People with high paying salaries is why these trucks exist. We work extremely hard and play harder in our spare time.
Making money is very easy to do these days. Back in the day was hard, so things were built cheap to sell cheap.
@@ryanb8736 I still see 1997 z71’s & early 2000’s Dodge diesels on the road all the time so I wouldn’t say they used to be made cheap, they just had less technology. Regardless, trucks shouldn’t have tripled in cost over the last 25 years but they have.
We finally get to see the Ranger Raptor do stuff....
Go watch some Australian channels. This vehicle has been out for about a year (not in the USA obviously )
@@theseb1979 I mean here. On US soil ..
At least they can do a full send with this unit vs that Tacoma fail
StraightPipes channel was on a small dirt road course for their test of it. Check it out, posted sometime this morning.
@@nomercyinc6783 what does that have to do with the Ranger Raptor?
The fact this is 57k and a fully loaded trd off road Tacoma is a few grand cheaper it is 100% no brainer to go with the ranger raptor. Toyota is losing there minds now
57k for 10 years of use or 55k for 30 years of use. Your choice.
@@adv_skarr5362 dude we have no idea how the Toyota motor will hold up. I have no doubt Toyota did a lot of engineering but that doesn’t guarantee anything. The motor in the raptor has been around since 2016 now so a lot more time to refine
Agree … this looks better than the Tacoma inside & out, plus has more capability & features. I’d take this or the Chevy ZR2 over the Mexican built Tacoma.
@@adv_skarr5362You must have a crystal ball that shows how long each vehicle will last. 🤡 My last Chevy was sold at 360K miles & that guy with the 1.3M mile Ford F-250 lives in my town.
If you’re anti-American, then just say so. The reliability myth fizzled out about a decade ago.
It’s a tough call .. agree the value of the raptor is amazing
I really like the Ranger Rapter. Would love to see comparison to GMC Canyon AT4X and the Chevy Colorado bison ZR2
It is in a league of its own
Multimatic shocks are trash compared to Fox live valves.
The GM 2.7L is a turd. I drove a 2023 Colorado ZR2 and it made my 6400 lb F150 on 35's feel like a rocket. I was super excited to test drive the truck and figured I would be buying it but walked away disappointed.
The 3.0 in the Raptor is on another level. Even the 2.7L in the regular ranger will probably be a lot stronger than the GM motor.
@@Jay-me7gwyes. GMs 2.7 is a 4 banger. Fords is a v6. Even with the same displacement, those 2 extra cylinders help
The Ford Ranger Raptor is a BAJA truck which means fast and furious over big bumps and mostly dirt and sandy tracks while the Chevy Colorado Bison ZR2 AEV edition and GMC Canyon AT4x AEV edition are ROCK CRAWLERS designed for SLOW rock crawling, ice and snow.
If you are in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, California and most of the U.S. South, then the Ford Ranger SHOULD be your buy. If you are in the Pacific Northwest such as Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, all the upper MIdwest and Northeastern States and all of Canada and Alaska where river rocks, snow, ice and deep mud taken at slower speeds is required then the Chevy and GMC trucks and the Ford Bronco seem to be better suited for these tasks.
If you can afford it, get the BRONCO RAPTOR for the super-tough trails and the Chevy ZR2 Bison AEV edition for the long forest road runs or desert dune to your lakeside/riverside/desert cabin.
V
Key point nobody has pointed out . Rear axle had been gusseted . A big deal from factory.
What advantages does it have?
@@yunghernando3946 Stronger. Usually an aftermarket addition for off-roading. This truck is built for off-road driving.
I'm in Argentina right now and they have these Ranger Raptors everywhere
Looks good. Never really thought about a Ranger but now it seems I'll be looking at this Raptor and the TRD Pro
Raptor Ranger vs Colorado ZR2 video needs to come next!
no comparison chevys suck
Loren Healy beat the 2022 Baja 1000 with a completely stock (just safety equipment) Ranger Raptor, and then drove it back to California after having raced 800 miles. No problems. It even beat many of the UTV classes (which are pretty fast in the desert now). Of course the only mod was Loren himself, he is a beast
Sounds cool but it was the only vehicle entered into the Baja 1000's Stock Midsize class, so you could also argue that he got last place as well as first :P
You are welcome America.
Proudly developed and engineered by the small team at Ford Australia 🇦🇺!
I want one. I hope the aftermarket for this is vibrant in Australia.
Yeah, right. Ford in America had nothing to do with it. Did the kangaroo humpers invent the engine?
Andres smile says it all, that raptor looks dope! Would be nice 👍 to have some fun on trails with
I’m in love!!!!!! Though it bugs the hell out of me where they put the wiring harness, all the other Rangers have them up on the bumper.
God willing, that will be my next truck.
Deus Vult!
God don't care what you drive
It needs cooled seats and rear ac vents especially at that price .
That is a really great looking truck and I don't say that very often anymore. thanks for the coverage. The dont care for the orange in the seats and having the controls and a touch screen make it near impossible to use them while moving off-road or on road for that matter because you have to take your eye off the road and hold your hand steady.
Here's an interesting comparison. Andre quoted the curb weight at a little over 5400 lbs and the tow rating at 5500 lbs. An F-150 Tremor with the base 5.0L V8 has a curb weight of just over 5200 lbs and can tow 10,000 lbs. Depending on options and dealer ADMs vs discounts the prices can be surprisingly similar. Apples to oranges for sure but something to consider depending on what you realistically need a truck for...
Great total package. Lots of power and lowend torque. Great review.
We need a GMC CANYON AT4 vs FORD RANGER RAPTOR!!
AT4 X !
Can't wait to watch the Canyon fall apart!!
This truck is AWESOME. I dream with it every single day. Ford did an AMAZING Job. (expept for the Lockers and other big screen controls nonsense. Bring back the knobs, levers and physical buttons PLEASE)
Yes! Bring back some knobs and buttons PLEASE!!
Can somebody tell me why 60k doesn’t get ventilated seats?
Get rid of the garbage start/stop and add that
It’s a sport Baja truck. Not a luxury truck. Get a luxury truck for cooled seats.
@@ryanb8736 60k for midsize is luxury. The full size has them is it a sport Baja as well? I’m just going to disagree with that logic
Mine should be at the dealer any day now shelter green metallic I can’t wait to drive it my out the door price was 61347.00 just two options
I don't know why I get anxious when a new TFL vid drops hoping that I see Andre. Thankfully the TFL team is delivering 🙏
I was glad to see this just for fun. I don't need a powerful performance jumping through and over Baja anything. Just a rugged trail riding midsizer.
I purchased a 150 Raptor. Shelter green can't wait for it to arrive at the dealership. Lets Rock!
That silver Raptor Ranger is the best looking and equipped medium size pick up sold today. The Best is now FORD. Yay !
I really do not like the lockers having to be engaged on that touch screen and i really hate the price that they have for these.
Less than 5 minutes in and already a crack in the windshield nice 👍
Givin this is a demo it's probably been dogged pretty alot over the months
Hey, it's the West. I live in WY and the rule of thumb is a windshield a year. My '19 Ranger's windshield lasted about 24 hours before getting a chip-> crack and needed replacement. Don't have to like it, but it's just the way it is.
Has mine for a few months now. Baja is something you'll only use off road because of the anti lagg. In sport's mode is really fun on road
I love that Cactus Gray color so much, looks so good.
I'm surprised Andre didn't talk about the new K03's on the Raptor being that TFL loves the K02's so much.
He mentioned them. Said they were a new design. KO3 not KO2
Yeah but we still havent forgotten that the 2017 F150 Raptor started at $50k, jumping to $55k in 2020, $65k in 2021, $72k in 2022, $78k in 2023 and $80k for 2024. I'm not interested in ANY Raptor at these prices. This is a $40k truck.
I see your point but it’s a v6 TT it’s 50k minimum
INFLATION.
Clearly Ford has not yet realized that consumers are growing weary of insanely priced trucks.
Driving around and seeing what other vehicles are on the road suggests that a lot of people are just fine paying for insanely priced trucks.
@@Jay-me7gwcould you build something privately (including cost of labor)within the msrp of the ford raptor?
@@dm273 Yeah, if you do your own labor.
Thats why you can get a base ranger with a rear locker option. No other mid-size has that option. Every manufacturer wants you to get the TRD, pro4x or trailboss to get a rear locker
I see new trucks everywhere...plenty of people buying.
I understand Ranger Raptor doesn’t meet width requirements to mandate amber DRLs, but Raptor trims NEED amber lights. It’s not right to see one without.
You can add them yourself for around $100.
as a long time Ford man who plans on downsizing my truck size for retirement this may be the one truck for me! I have been looking at new gen Tacoma as well (never owned). wish the front end was more level, i had to put a leveling kit on my Tremor. hopefully prices are not inflated like when i bought my Bronco Badlands.
It isnt level because trucks are supposed to carry stuff
Why didn't FORD have a WASHBOARD ROAD to test the truck on...? THAT is what most of us ride on...
You don't jump into your garage off a dirt ramp?
It was designed and tested on a lot of corrugated roads in Australia .
Loomy sand....Glamis, Ocotillo 🤔
I'm going to give it a couple years but I'm definitely buying one.
Ranger Rapter starts at 80k in Canada. Can get an f150 lariat @77k. Based on website.
A new F150 Lariat here in Texas is $67,835 with no options, not even FX4. With options it gets up to $81,045. The Ranger Raptor starts at $57,065 and options are negligible. The Ranger Raptor is over $10,000 less than a base F150 Lariat. I'm gonna rate your claim as false.
The f150 Raptor and Bronco Raptor are a lot more high-priced.
@BearMacTX you obviously have internet, then hence the based on website look it up... f people are dumb....
@@BearMacTXhe literally said _Canada_ you yank
But why would you buy a F-150 Lariat if you want to use it the way a Ranger Raptor is designed to be used?
I want one (in Velocity Blue), but limited availability and dealership markups may force me to wait a year first. Hopefully by then the interest rates will have dropped some as well.
Dumb question but with such a potent cooling system, will it provide heat in winter for the North? I remember freezing with the first TBird Supercoupe in an ice storm. Scary effect on defroster!
WOW, I never seen a ranger going this far back when I had my 1992.
I like the way Ford did the intro of the Bronco. Most auto journos were like, “Are you sure I can do that in this thing? I’m not responsible for anything going wrong??”, LOL!! 🤣🤣 👍🏻😎👍🏻
How does it compare to the Colorado ZR2. I already have a ZR2 im thinking about buying one of these or im just gonna get another ZR2 cuz i do love my ZR2.
I thought 50$ k I can maybe afford this truck till I looked at the Canadian prices 80,000$ , ZR2 starts at 60 but when you add similar options it climbs to 80 . Bison is 80k .
I hear ya! My Dads Canyon AT4X Edition 1 was the same as my 2022 Silverado ZR2. Insane.
I’ve built my Colorado ZR2 on the Chevy website and it’s $67k cad how I’d want it. I’m going to wait until summer to decide what to do. My Silverado value has tanked, so I may just keep it as it’s an amazing truck. The mileage just sucks.
If I down size Im thinking Ranger Raptor be my new Daily but will wait couple years get one
If people can buy these for 57k that’s good cause most trd off-roads I saw were selling for 55k
If they could make 30,000 of these a year and dealers sold them at sticker, they would sell out. Unfortunately, that's not the planet we live on.
@@mechmat12345believe it or not, there are a lot of dealers that sell at sticker and less, just to move them and increase their allocation numbers. Remember when Tacomas were incredibly difficult to get? I found a dealer and purchased an Off Road just below sticker. The dealers by me…… one wanted $5k over and the other dealer wanted 10 to 15k over sticker. I got incredibly lucky, they had 6 brand new Tacomas in addition to mine, all at MSRP. No knuckle shuffle with this dealership.
Love those seats and look of the truck (minus front grille) and seems nice enough but wow I can’t imagine buying a $60K+ truck for off-road shenanigans - looks fun though!
There's a lot of people complaining on how expensive these trucks are and vehicles in general, sadly these are the times we live, on the other hand no one is making you buy the most expensive top of the line version of a vehicle, another thing to keep in mind is for the money compared to similar trucks the new FRR is a lot of truck for the money.
I like the idea of the power and options, too bad about that tow rating. My 2021 Ranger XLT will keep doing its thing (towing) for a while.
Wait for a Tremor with the 2.7L to be out. It should still have the 7,500 tow rating. I tow a TT with my 2021 also.
@@ejhayes76 I would rather they release a Thunder version of the Ranger in the US like they have in Europe. For the 5G Ranger it's a street trim with Raptor powertrain. So it could have the 3.0 and 7,500lb towing. I've not actually looked for the 5G Ranger Thunder tow rating though, I guess I should as they could limit it too.
Most people will get a Ranger XLT with max tow option equivalent for around $44,000 and add $6000 worth of 4x4 upgrades (i.e. Goodyear Duratrac M/T tires, 2 to 4 inch lift plus coilover shocks upgrade, LED lightbars, LED fog lights, back bed rack and roof tent, heavy duty winches, bush bars) to bring it CLOSE to Ranger Raptor off-road capability while still being able to get the ability to tow 7500 lbs! The $15,000+ you save over the Ranger Raptor will pay for a lot of fill-ups for the two big Jerry Cans of extra gas you will be taking to extend your off-road driving range.

I have seen the RR in person overseas, and I think they are a good-looking truck; I'd love to drive one at some point. If I were Andrey, I would have mashed the skinny pedal even more with that drone chasing me down 😂

Is it possible to switch out the orange trim around the interior? ESPECIALLY the vents?
Ya I would like to know that to. I think it spoiled the look of the interior
@jonsale1646 100%. I'm the biggest Ford fan, but don't you think it looks so tacky? Like it was bought at autozone and thrown in there?
ok be honest, how much regret does Roman have buying that fragile taco when a few weeks later he could have had a raptor ranger?
None, they buy trucks to test when they first come out. What ever is hot at the time. I’m sure they will sell it soon and get something different.
I think he knows it was the right move at the time since it was the first major redo of the Taco in years and the highest selling truck in the segment by a pretty wide margin.
I think both are the most anticipated releases truck related but who will know that the taco will have that little glitch doing something far from demanding, I think it will be soon that tfl will get one of this to be put to some real test
Very nice looking truck!
Nice!! They didn’t wimp out of the power plant. Very cool. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

Sectional rear bumper comes in 3 parts, I think, similar to Subaru . A cheaper repair if your only replacing one part compared to one whole bumper. Can't wait for more on the Ranger Raptor it's been out in Australia so long that aftermarket parts are readily available.
Next model they needed to add rear heat vent in the back seat, relocated the tow connector next to the license plate for more departure angle, and have actual locker physical button.
is this faster than the tacoma? I dont like how tacoma is very slow
Well, it’s got well over 100hp more than the Tacoma non-hybrid and about 70hp more than the hybrid, so I’d say it’s quite a bit faster and quicker than the Tacoma. The hybrid Tacoma does make more torque but I’d still put my money on the Raptor.
@@phantom0456 good because I don't want a slow truck
They should have put raptor on the tailgate “pressed in letters”
Well done Andre! You're looking like the Russian Stig out there!
Informative as usual 👌 thank you! 👍
Over 400hp. That's pretty good for a mid size truck... but is it heavy?
5300lb so kinda. Only like 80/90 lbs more than a zr2 I believe might actually be less of a difference
They need a "luxury air experience" package with Rear Air Vents, a Moonroof, and Ventilated seats.
Until then, my wife and I will pass.
There are rear vents in other markets. I have them, this seems like a major miss to save a few dollars in the US.
At that price, those locker buttons should be physical. It's not if the screen goes out, it's when the screen will go out or freeze up. Those prices are a joke and they will continue to have issues selling.
I concur
They will sell them , then repo, due to the next crash, when people bought stuff they couldn't afford 🤑....
Great video, ordered one on day one of announcement. Hopefully have it soon. Expensive for a ranger however much less then bronco and f150 and it should be much better on the trails.
Naa it's gonna be almost 80k for sure
I ordered and locked in at msrp.
Awesome video...and i did catch the little Cinewhoop drone prop noise and saw it chasing the truck thats cool 😎
Now idk if i wanna bronco or a ranger raptor
I think a sasquatch Ranger would have been a way to go to compete with the zr2 and taco.
Ford needs to make that engine a regular option.
No. That would devalue the Raptor.
@@ryansheard8092 who gives a damn. Vehicles are depreciating assets. If a vehicle being devalued is a big concern then you didn't have enough money to buy it in the first place.

If you buy one and go to the driving school in Utah will Ford pay for suspension damage under warranty? I would guess no and they would say do at your own risk.
My understanding is that you drive their trucks not your own
That rear shock body looked like it had threads. Factory coilovers?
You should drive it going up the hill. That was pretty easy
Please do a ranger raptor vs ranger fx4 off road comparison. I know the raptor has the advantage but Id love to see how they compare.
It doesn't make sense where they moved the trailer plug in underneath the bumper when on the regular Ranger. It's next to the license plate 🤔🤔🤔

@3:49 That welding looks horrible... Im picking mines up in April. I hope it lives up to the hype!
Welding outsourced to China 🇨🇳
You don't say "mines".
I saw a new F-150 today with solid steel wheels and big hubcaps. Just like a custom truck or car in the 70’s on back.
How cool it will be if Ranger had Coyote 5.0!
Huge engine. I doubt it could be shoehorned into the Ranger.
I wouldn't want to sacrifice the loss of power and weight gain a 5.0L would make. The truck would be junk.
@ryansheard8092 the 5.0 weight 450lbs 3.0 weight is 445
Now the 7.3 would fit much better than the fit
The 5.0 has been fitted to the previous gen ranger Raptor in Queensland, Australia. It will fit, sound and go much better... but hey... this will keep the polar bears alive 😂
@alvarogoncalves261 do you not feel that polar bears deserve to live?
Would be nice. They made a truck that sounded like a truck
