Kristie, I just LOVE your tutorials!!! I'm glued to the screen every time one comes out! I know it must take a whole lot of work to create, film, edit, post, etc. Just know your fans appreciate all your efforts. I can't wait until the next series!!!! Please keep the 6x6 series coming. Thanks! 😃💖
Thank you, Karen! You are so kind! Yes, the entire process does take quite a bit of work. But since so many crafters seem to enjoy my 6x6 videos, I will keep making them. I'm kinda addicted to using 6x6's for cardmaking. :)
P.s. Thank you so very much for sharing the measurements with us! It's very difficult as a newbie to wrap your head around it all then have to figure out that too. Thank you, thank you!
The soft pastel colors of this paper pad makes for such adorable cards. I always look forward to your 6" x 6" paper pad tutorials. I can't wait to see what you'll do next.
Like everyone else, I love seeing these videos! When you started, did you find you were drawn to a particular company because it was easier to mix & match their patterns? Im so inspired to start but then suffer from analysis paralysis and overthink it.
Thank you, Maggie! I have been using 6x6's for card making for many years. After trying several different paper companies, I definitely found my preference. I really like to use 24-sheet double sided paper pads that have a good mix of tone-on-tone and patterned papers. Doodlebug, Carta Bella, and Echo Park are my favorite. All of their papers coordinate well together, which makes using my tutorial super easy.
Yay! I was wondering when you would make another video! I need the inspiration to get started. I adore this Doodlebug collection and had my Simon Says Stamp cart filled with everything they had but just removed everything yesterday so I could use what I already have and I have ALOT!!!!!!! Headed over to your blog to see the other supplies you used.
Thank you, Amalia! I'm glad I can provide some inspiration for you. I just can't resist buying more Doodlebug stuff, even if I have a ton of other 6x6's I should use first. Lol! Now I'm trying to figure out which paper pad to use next.
LOL, I 'm sure we'll all love it! No doubt there! Need to get ink in the printer so I can print some of these sketches and get really started! Thank you!
Your video was right on time! Grabbed my (large) cup of coffee and sat down to 40 minutes of card making goodness. Have I mentioned how much I 💕your videos?? 😁
I was hoping you were going to be doing another video!! Can't wait for the next one! I am getting ready to attempt this. I just got several 6x6 paper pads. I would love to see you do another holiday paper pad or even some not so bright paper pads.
Thank you, Kreationsby Kimber! I will definitely be doing more holiday videos in the future. And since my last couple of videos had lots of pink, I was planning on looking for a different color palette for the next one.
Hi Kristie, You are such a very talented lady. You make my mind boggle with all of your 6x6. I absolutely love them especially your series part 1-8 they just blew me away an I REALLY ENJOYED THEM that I keep going back to watch them all the time. LOL Keep up the good work....!!!!!!.... Kristie, where do you get your sketches from and would you mind if I borrowed them using my papers. Thx U soooooo much. From Rhonda Laine Sydney Australia 😘😘😘⭕️⭕️❌❌💕
Thank you for your kind comments, Rhonda! I really appreciate it and am glad you are enjoying my videos. I do plan on doing more 6x6 video series in the near future. All of the sketches I use are from online sketch sites like Mojo Monday, Sketch Saturday, Reverse Confetti. I have links to all the sketches I use in my videos on my blog. The link is in the description above. You are always welcome to use the measurements I provide for each sketch. Happy crafting to you!
Hi Dayman Shelley! It's called a MISTI. I have the mini MISTI and just love it. It's helpful when masking scenes, but I mostly use it to get a really good stamp impression.
Loved this video. I really enjoy watching all the different designs. Do you make up the designs yourself and print them or do you find them from somewhere?
Thank you, Lisa. No, I do not make the card designs. I find them from online sketch sites. But I do figure out the measurements for A2 size cards. I have links to all the sketches used on my blog.
Hey Kristie I love all your 6x6 tutorials - thank you for making them for others to see - they are so inspirational!!! I am looking for the Reverse Confetti stamp set that you use in this video for Mojo Monday #444 and I can't seem to find it - can you possibly tell me the name of it... Thanks again for all your shares:)
Susan Bennett Hello! Thank you for your kindness. I really appreciate it. 😊 The Reverse Confetti set is called ‘All About You’. I looked at Reverse Confetti’s website and it looks like it has been discontinued. It’s an older set. Probably one of their first stamp sets.
Denisse Córdova Hello. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video. 💗This is one of my older videos. I wasn’t using affiliate links at the time, so I didn’t include a list of products. However, I do share everything used on my coordinating blog post. The link is provided in the description box. 🙂
Tina Fisher Hmmm, I’m not sure I can pick a favorite. I’ve been using 6x6 paper pads for card making for many, many years. Doodlebug paper collections have always been some of my favorites . I really enjoyed using their Down on the Farm 6x6. Queen & Co is a new to me company for paper pads. I just loved their new Magical Characters collection. Christmas cards are always fun to make. I think my favorite Christmas series is Echo Park’s A Perfect Christmas. 🙂
Do you always have to trim ea. Card base? I've noticed mine have been kind of wonky lately n need straighten out or trimmed down a tad. Just wondering if it's us or if the cardstock might not be perfectly strait @ one end. Seems to happen most w\ Michael's brand. It's not happening near as much with Neenah cs.
I buy a full case of Accent Opaque Digital 100# paper from my local paper store and have them cut it all in half for me for card bases. I don't like even the tiniest slivers of white from my card bases showing, so I always just do a quick trim before adhering the card front.
That's a great way to do it! I'd rather my base be a sliver short than have the wrong color sticking out like a HUGE neon sign! Think I'll check and see how much Copy-Co or Office Max would chrg me to cut & score a few reams for me. I have very bad arthritis and other probs that cause a lot of pain. Folding A2's gets too painful pretty quickly so I try to do 10 or so on good days. Might be worth it to have it done for me... Thanks! I hadn't thought of that.
It's definitely a convenience I don't mind paying for. Although my paper store only cuts the bases, they don't score them. Just be sure the store cuts accurately. I've had some places cut up to 1/2 inch off before and that ruins the whole ream.
Kristie,
Pure awesomeness as usual. Thank you for posting another 6 x 6 paper pad tutorial.
These are great for spring/summer cards.
Aw, thank you! I really appreciate your kindness! Thanks for watching my videos!
Kristie Marcotte :
I watch them as soon as they come out. Please keep them coming.
You are so sweet!

every time I see you post I watch as soon as I can. so inspirational. I've done a couple 6x6 pad card marathons because of you.
Aw, thank you Renee! I'm glad I have provided some inspiration for you. 6x6 pad card marathons - that's the kind of marathon I can handle!
As usual, you make the card magic happen! I just love what you have done with this 6 x 6 pad!
Aw, thank you Adrienne! You are very kind!

Oh wow! I'd be so upset. Hope they replaced the paper or at least the cost of it!
I've just learned where to go now. Kelly Paper cuts it perfectly, every time.
