I have been a long time follower. Since the OWH days. I am still just awed by your 6x6 videos. Wonderful job! And I am especially impressed with how you have handled yourself while other UA-camrs have completely plagiarized your videos. And so many rude comments against you. You truly know how to show grace and kindness. Well done!
This is such a beautiful collection, I'm surprised more people didn't make videos of it! After I watched your video I bought the entire collection! I was so inspired by how beautiful your cards were that when Flora #2 came out I didn't hesitate getting that collection with and ( head low) Floral #1 again.
I always finish watching your 6x6 tutorials so inspired! I know others have enjoyed and benefited from the individual videos, but thanks for posting this one too. Knowing that someone can do this much with one set of papers makes me want to challenge myself to do something similar.
Always fun to see you use the entire paper pad in one video. But I must say again that I really loved the individual videos and will look forward to more of them!
wow....New to watching your videos after one video I subscribed.... absolutely fantastic cards using little supplies..love the colour combos to.... please keep the videos coming you are a very talented lady🖒 x
Thanks for your videos Kristie! I have been watching for a while and decided to grab a paper pad and give it a go. :-) Definitely fun, great spring board for creativity, and I so need to get a system going for myself like you have for yourself but great over all! Thanks again!
Hi Kristie! I’m just enjoying more of your videos and I was wondering what ink brand you use? The ink I have smears and doesn’t completely dry. I’ve ruined a few nice cards from the smears and the ink transfers to other cards.
Genevieve CreatedOnALark Hello! Thanks for watching my videos. 😊 I used to use Memento since it is a nice and quick drying ink. I recently switched over to Reverse Confetti’s midnight black ink for stamping sentiments, since the color is more intense and it still dries quickly. For images I plan on coloring, I use Lawn Fawn’s jet black ink. Dye inks dry quicker than pigment inks. 🙂
It posted before I wanted it to ( Kindle fire). Anyway, thank you again for all the inspiration & helping me find something I could still do that makes me feel I'm still helping others in some way! ( disabled nurse is a tough title to deal with!)
Thank you, Laura! Prior to starting my videos, I have a stack of sketches ready to use. There are usually 3 or 4 sketches that I know I will definitely use. But after that, I can't really plan which sketches to use. I then select sketches based on what size papers I have left from the 6x6 paper pad.
Kristie, do you do them all in one sitting? I know you said the unedited time is about 6 hours, but wasn't sure if you break that time into different days or just sit and get them done all in a day.
April, it usually takes me 3-4 days to finish a 6x6 video. Although my recording time was only about 6 hours for this video, I don't include any of my die cutting, prep, or planning time. Plus, I'm a stay at home mom with school age kiddos. So I do pause the video recording often to take care of everyday life. :)
Kristie, I just saw on 'A Cherry on Top" that Carta Bella is coming out with a new 6x6 pad called Flora #2! This was one of my favorite videos you have done. Can't wait until Flora #2 comes out. Thank you for all you do....
Sherrie Hughes I saw the new Flora #2 as well. I will definitely be buying it. 🙂 After all the Christmas cards, I’ll be ready for some pink floral cards. 😊
Hi Kristie, I was just wondering where you got your brads because I've noticed in previous videos all the different colours you seem to have, I would love to have as many as you lol x
Kirsty Jane The only brads I have purchased in the recent years are the black brads. I get them from The Eyelet Outlet online. The rest of my brads I've had for many, many years. I used to buy them at Scrapbook Expos and local craft stores. I don't use the colored ones very often, so they never seem to run out. Lol! 🙂
I do believe that this is my favorite paper collection I've seen you use so far. But I have a question. That oval swirly looking birder strip, is it made with a punch or a die? I've seen you use those strips in other videos as well, but could not remember if you mentioned how you made them. Thanks!
Are you referring to the card with the sentiment "A little Hey to Brighten your Day"? I used a border die cut from My Favorite Things. I've had it for many years and I'm not sure if MFT even carries it anymore.
Hi! I adore all your videos. I'm just wondering if I could also pull off inspired cards from your works by using a 12x12 paper pad? That's the only material available in my country.
Thank you, Faye! I'm sure you could do the same thing using 12 x12 papers. I've heard of people cutting down their 12 x 12 sheets to 6x6 size. But that would only work with the smaller patterns. You could also try the One Sheet Wonder card tutorial. There are tons of different cutting patterns for it online if you do a search.
@Faye Garley, just cut the 12x12 into quarters. (Cut down the center, then turn the two halves you now have and cut down the center again.-- Hope that makes sense!)
Thank you, Ruth! I just love that you were following along with my videos. So fun! Yes, there needs to be more masculine papers. Definitely harder to find.
MANASI CREATIONS do you mean the cost to make as opposed to the cost to sell? I think that'd be hard to work out as it would be so dependant on which embellishments are used, if items were purchased on sale etc
MANASI CREATIONS - I couldn't possibly figure out the cost of making these cards. I've purchased so many items for card making that go into the cost. Paper trimmer, stamps, ink, adhesive, die cuts, paper, embellishments. Card making is not an inexpensive hobby, but it's something I really enjoy.
I love using stripes on a card. Most 6x6's seem to include a few striped pattern designs. I think the trick is to balance the stripes with another pattern without the papers competing with each other. Most of the time, I only use a smaller piece of striped paper on a card.
Ella Conner I buy a full case of cardstock from a local paper store. I pay them to cut the entire case in half for card bases. Then I score and fold the cardbases at home. It’s worth the extra expense since it saves me so much time. I don’t like any of the white from the cardbase showing, so I trim off that tiny sliver. 🙂
Kristie Marcotte thx for your quick response . I love watching you make your cards and am now learning this technique as well. I enjoy cardmaking a lot and use the 6x6 pads also. Looking fwd to your next video🤗
You appear to trim a bit off of your card bases. Can you explain why, please? What is the finished size? I am LOVING these "use a whole paper pad" videos. Thanks for sharing them.
Thank you! I use white card bases and I don't like it when even a sliver of white shows. So I just trim my card bases to match the card fronts. All of my cards are A2 size. 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
My OCD nature dreams of the day they make an affordable, truly accurate paper trimmer. Since even high-end trimmers depend on human eye alignment, it's hard to achieve perfection. Maybe laser guided? I don't know what the answer is, but I wish someone would figure it out. There are so many variables. Is your card stock cut perfectly square? Do I put the card edge in the center of the measuring grid line, the left edge, the right edge (any line we can see has a thickness that can be enough to show a sliver if the layering panel is not aligned exactly the same way on the trimmer as the card base was)? I understand why you (and I) trim the card bases, but it annoys me that we need to. I even tried a Zutter Dream-Kuts that was supposed to be able to cut up to 12X12 paper exactly in half, but the paper would slip near the end and have an uneven edge - another dream shot down :) I even bought a second one to see if the first was a "lemon", but it didn't work either and I gave it away to a less exacting crafty friend that only does scrapbooking and doesn't require the precision that a folded card base demands. Goodness but I'm picky.
Carol - I've used several different paper trimmers and none of them are perfectly accurate. (Or maybe it's my cutting.) But, I guess I'm just used to having to trim the tiny extra. I love my Tonic trimmer since I don't need to buy replacement blades though. And I've had it for over 5 years now.
With every video I watch, the cards just get better and better.
Janet S Thank you for your kindness and support. You have been on a video watching spree. 😊

Angela Fishburn Thanks you! It really is a beautiful paper collection. I bought 2 paper pads since I loved it so much. 😊

I also love 6x6 paper pads for card making! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards and techniques with us!
Ella Conner Thank you for watching my videos and for your kind words. I really appreciate it! 💕
Always fun to see you use the entire paper pad in one video. But I must say again that I really loved the individual videos and will look forward to more of them!
Thanks Val! I definitely plan on doing individual videos again in the future.
Your videos are meditation for me - relaxing and inspiring.
Thank you, Carol!

Angela Fishburn You are very welcome. I’m so glad I can provide some inspiration for you. I know you are blessing so many people with your cards. 😊
Another great video. Do you have your sketches picked out prior to filming?

lovely cards.. amazing combinations..
how much do this cards cost??
Thank you! I actually don't sell my cards since I use so many myself.
Thank you, Ruth! I just love that you were following along with my videos. So fun! Yes, there needs to be more masculine papers. Definitely harder to find.
please tell me the cost of the cards!!

I would LOVE to see more with stripes included...I have a bunch of striped paper I want to use up

I love Carta Bella paper I have a 12 x 12 of this one ; )
Sharon Pimento I love their paper collections as well. If only I had more hours in a day, I’d use them all. 🙂
Thx for sharing? Do you make your card bases? Also, why are you trimming them down, lol?

Hi. I like your work. Its beautiful. I like too, your glue. Its fantastic. Where this?
Thank you! I use the Scotch ATG (Advanced tape glider) tape gun and my liquid glue is Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive.
Oh thank you.. Good night

Carmen Chiapa It is a very lovely paper collection. I really enjoyed using it. 🙂
ooooooh ok now I get it
good video, but I am french, and I use centimeters; DOMMAGE
Thanks, Cathy. I live in the United States and use inches. I'm sure there is a way to easily convert the measurements if you google it.
