It's never too late to review all of the types of folds. This video was one of the most clear and succinct in my many years of crafting cards. Thank you so much from a veteran card maker!
Z fold was my favorite. I've made them before, but I always start from scratch. How much easier to start with an accurate card blank! Love that you get 2 for 1 also.
Thank you for this tutorial, simply for the measurements! Even though I have been crafting cards for many years it doesn’t hurt to be reminded of all of the ‘fun’ card shapes we can create with a little imagination - and of course remembering 😂. Thanks again Sandy 🌸
Well demonstrated giving me time to watch closely, write dimensions, and to feel confident in the easy of trying these folds! Thank you Altenew for providing this wonderful instruction!
Hello from Clifton Park, NY. I really only make the basic card folds. Now with this video, I will try the rest. I like the Aperture card. Wow, you make that one so easy. I will give it a try.
Great help… love your voice and cadence. Nice and slow so I can write it down. Will make one of each to create templates with instructions. Think you just save me lots of $$$. Thank you🎉
Such a great tutorial! I’m Subscribing & hope to see more Tutorials. Clear, concise and held my interest. Well done and Thank You! PS: Figuring out the measurements and where to score and fold has been one of my problems. But this has helped tremendously as it is the basis of more than a simple standard fold.
This is hard.... I love all the fun folds.... but if I had to choose, I think I would have to choose the "Simple Stepper Card" and the "Gatefold" ... Thank you so much for sharing this.... I have to save in my Card Fun Folds folder....
I really liked the aperture card. It's great to be able to hide something cute on the inside. Thank you for putting all the different ways to fold cards in one place!
This is an amazing vid on card types for beginners; Amy was so calm as she explained them,WoW!! Thank you, #TeamAltenew!! 💜🥰🤩👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 My fav: Z-Fold Tri-fold cards, as you get 2 scored cards out of the process!❤
Hi!, my favourite type of card to make is the Z fold card! Your video and instructions are so easy to follow, I wrote everything down for a reference for me to follow, and I will refer back to watch the video again for all your decorating ideas! Thanks, Joan
I have always been partial to card styles that have movement. Whether it be an aperture, spinner or shaker. I must say that I am now going to try the tri-fold book style. Thank you. 😊
What a great video! I started stamping/card-making in 1995 and have never tried some of these folds. My favorite fold is still the Top-fold; it’s just so versatile. Thank you!
Great tutorial! I have made many of these folded cards but I usually create a top fold. Thank you for detailing so many options in one concise video. This is an excellent source of instruction & inspiration. 💙
My favorite is the gate card. But to be truthful there are so many I haven’t tried and with this detailed “class” video I will be trying all of them. Thank you for providing all of us such an amazing tutorial.
I loved the last card. So simple and there's a lot of things that you as a maker can do to enhance the card. I'll definitely be making this card today 😀! ❤
There is just something about a Z-fold trifold card that I really like. I think it is all the layers compared to more traditional cardfolds. So that is my favorite😊
Great tips! I love and use all of these folds when card making, but I love a beautifully decorated gatefold card all the time! But a good slimline card is a lot of fun too! Thank you!
Hi, just subscribed to your channel. I used to make lots of cards and I loved doing them. This video is a game changer for me in card making. Thank you for sharing this great tutorial. Who would have thought how an A2 card leaves zero scraps !!!!
This is a great video and explains the processes quite clearly. My fave card shape is the diagonal fold .. altho decorating it is somewhat difficult for my limited, semi-creative talent!😀 Thanks for the opportunity to enter your giveaway!❤
Wow! What a fantastic video, thank you SO much 😊! I enjoyed that you took your time and explained everything step by step without rushing. This is a great reminder of all the fun folds that there is to make!
How exciting to have all these card folds in one video. I love them all. 2 of my favorites I want to try are #5 Aperture card with the spinning HUGS. Also #11 Z-Fold Trifold card. Thank you so much for making this great reference video❤
I love watching your videos. I'm new to card making and have learned so many things from your channel. It is so hard for me to pick my favorite. Since I'm new and all. But thank you for the education love your channel ❤❤❤❤
Great and informative video!! Thank you! My go to is usually a side fold or top fold, but I really love making gate fold cards. The possibilities are endless for ways to close them. I've been playing with die cuts that will allow interlocking pieces to make them close. It's been fun learning what will work and what won't!
This is a great tutorial for beginners and a good reminder for those who have been crafting awhile. I did like the Aperature, spinner card, as have not done one of those.
I'm a pretty basic card maker and rely on the standard side fold cards most of the time, but I'd like to try the easel card. Great quick guide for card folds, thanks!
Thank you for this great tutorial Amy, Lydia and Altenew. An Easel Card is my favorite as I love dreaming up a decorated die cut or sentiment to prop it open!😍
Very well done. I need to be reminded of all the great options out there. I love the surprise of an aperture card, but your gatefold options were terrific. Thanks for all the inspiration!
Great tutorial! It’s a good reminder how easy it is to change up a basic card. I liked the z-fold tri fold card. I want to do one of those with a scene. Thanks for the great explanations with measurements.
Thank you for this video! I'm new to card making and this really helped me with some projects I'm working. I'm using the gate fold to make wedding invitations for my friends.💙 I've hand made brochures and a few other things in college, but it's ben a while and I couldn't remember all the fold techniques.
Love them all, but interactive and fun fold cards make my heart happy, so the shaker, shaped, die cut window stepper, trifold, the gate fold and spinner, easel, etc… are my favorites! 🫣I am warming up to slim cards…Thank you Amy and Lydia for sharing!

I love making easel cards. My grandma loves them because she likes to display her cards and she finds them to be the best for that.
I need to save this video so I can master each. Thank you!

I’ve created many of these folds, but I haven’t tried a z-fold! I love how easy it is to do. Definitely trying this! Thx for the tutorial, Amy!
That's what I said :)
To make a traditional card base I score the whole length at 4 1/4 and then rotate to cut at 5 1/2. Score once, cut once and done ❤
This is hard.... I love all the fun folds.... but if I had to choose, I think I would have to choose the "Simple Stepper Card" and the "Gatefold" ... Thank you so much for sharing this.... I have to save in my Card Fun Folds folder....
I didn’t even know I’d like a slimline card until I watched this video. Thank you for sharing!
