Literally, still now, I'm not over this performance because it's absolutely STUNNING. I went on an Aurora binge after this video, and honestly, I feel like her live version of this song is better than the studio version. Pls more Aurora. She is the most honest and kindest artist I know. I have seen many interviews and poscasts with her. She is incredible and something else in the best possible way. To the video itself. Aurora has backround singer. She doesn't like backtracks. Silja Sol mainly accompanies her, but the other two band members also sing along. I recommend Nobel Peace Price concert "murder song (5,4,3,2,1)" and "I went too far" live Honda Stage".
Silja has been her backup vocalist for quite a while and she is amazing - however in this performance the backup singer is Selma Frida Stang - also a very talented singer. The other two voices are Magnus her drummer and Odd Martin on guitar.
She is literally an enchantress in the best possible way. Her voice is just so enchanting. It pulls you in and you can’t get out of it. It’s just absolutely amazing☺️
Aurora said in a tv interview that the creativ process in making songs and having the control in the studio, to do what ever you want is liberating, but ones you perform the song live on stage it's out of your hands. Sean, I love the statement you made about a performer owning the space they're in. It reminds me of the feeling I got the first time I saw Christine and the Queens live on the Graham Norton Show a few years back. It was different because it was choreographed, but the same thing applied. She owned the stage. I normally dislike reaction videos but this one introduced me to a tremendous talent I hadn't heard before. Thanks to both of you for posting. kevin O'Rourke
Just a little comment on your comment. "limited range"? You guys have to explore her a bit more. She has a fantastic voice. And her range has been debated and settled. She is not just singing a song. She tells a story. Welcome to Warriors and Weirdos both of you
@@rx7dude2006 I totally agree. We can sit here and debate what makes Aurora so unique for the next quople of hours, lol. There are so many things. One thing I do love is that she never shows off. My favourite live cover from her is Bob Dylan's "Make you feel my love" at the SOS Ole bull 2020. She really makes it her own and you can see that she feels every song she sings even if it's not her own. I also absolutely love Lucky live in Bergen 2020. Warrior from the Haik documentary. I don't think you can choose wrong honestly.
Loved the reaction! You're in for a treat if you watch more of her live performances. She's probably the most emotive artist I've seen. Even her live covers are amazing, especially Life on Mars (at Nidarosdomen) and So Long Marianne (Chicago concert) which she sang in tribute of Leonard Cohen after learning he died earlier. Her own work is awesome too (Running with the Wolves - Pandora Sessions and Through the Eyes of a Child - at Nidarosdomen just to name a couple). You can't really go wrong with her.
@@AndreaSilvestro Thank YOU for the reaction! One more thing. Aurora often changes the arrangement of her songs so any given live performance can be totally different than another one with the same song. She basically covers her own songs.
Really enjoyed your reaction! Please react to more live performances -- especially AURORA's more recent performances. I strongly recommend reactions to her highly energetic KEXP performance in Iceland (with Bjork in the audience), where she sings "Churchyard" and "All is Soft Inside”; as well as the Nidarosdomen Concert (in a cathedral with orchestral ensemble and choir), particularly the songs "It Happened Quiet," "Through the Eyes of a Child," "Little Boy in the Grass" and "Lucky." ; or the HAIK 2019 concert she held in a forest: "Infections of a Different Kind," "The Seed," “Daydreamer” and others; and most recently, the Bergen Philharmonic concert where she sings “Soulless Creatures” live for the first time!

She genuinely ascends to the astral plane when performing at the right venue. The "letting us into her world" is the best description of her stage presence I have heard.
Great reaction to a great artist. The reaction left me curious to hear more of your thoughts, Andrea. Maybe your friend could leave a bit more space for you - balance and harmony?
Once your heart is moved by an Aurora song or performance, you just want to live on her planet. Right outta your head and into your heart and body. I don't know of any other contemporary artist who does that with their sound and presence. Very powerful, like a force of nature or the impact on others that a talented human can have when standing fully in their own truth.
She is an absolute wonderful human being who happens to be a magnificent artist as well. She is also the most pure new artist around today, doesn't use vocal gymnastics to impress she just tells the story in her own way.
If you watch enough of her live, typically with three or less accompanists, you’ll see that she’s not doubling her own voice, but rather a cappella or not, one, two, or three of the accompanists are harmonizing with her. The drummer (forget his name) is her producer, be comes in way low under her, and the female (Silia) behind her (a guitarist in other performances) often comes in above her. In this one, I’m pretty sure the keyboardist is also harmonizing.

Another great reaction. Words that come to mind are ... atmospheric, ethereal, enchanting, otherworldly, captivating. Of course having great lyrics helps. It would be interesting to hear you guys do something similar. Here's a poem of mine that might make an enchanting song with the right music, if you're interested. I have had 26 poems set to music by 12 different composers. Will There Be Starlight by Michael R. Burch Will there be starlight tonight while she gathers damask and lilac and sweet-scented heathers? And will she find flowers, or will she find thorns guarding the petals of roses unborn? Will there be starlight tonight while she gathers seashells and mussels and albatross feathers? And will she find treasure or will she find pain at the end of this rainbow of moonlight on rain? If you like this one, I have others. If not, no problem.
I subscribe for more Aurora.. She is sooo good and her lyrics should be published in a book and been on the curriculum for every school in the world! She deals with meaningfull universal topics.. 😊 I would like to point out that we have another Norwegian gem ; Angelina Jordan, singer/songwriter. She has a huge fanbase too and will blow your mind. Just take any song from her. She has 140+ on UA-cam.. 🤗😊 Nice reaction!
Billie Eilish and the also amazing French singer, Pomme, both asure they decided to become singers because of this very song; so Aurora is responsible for at least this two amazing singer/songwriters to step out.
it’s actually a 6/8 time signature. Nit picking, but this mistake is made a lot. The subdivision pacing of the Eighth notes are tripled not doubled, making it 6/8 instead of 3/4. It’s subtle. It’s a weird compound time technicality. You can hear the swing of the 6/8 really well in the bridge.
Great reaction, not seen you before :). You just need to have a look at some of her songs from "Nidarosdomen". And.....maybe you also would like another young Norwegian singer/songwriter - Angelina Jordan. Have fun.
I really liked the reaction, definitely subscribing to the channel. You guys just earned a Saudi subscriber 🙂. And pls react to Faouzia’s - born without a heart (Stripped virsion), I promise you will be blown away.
Aurora has developed her persona over her career. Here, in 2015, she is an innocent young girl. Go next to Nidarosdomen 2017, "Through The Eyes Of A Child", where Aurora is a more seasoned performer but there is still a shy element and she is a vision from a Botticelli painting. Then, the HAIK concert 2019, "Daydreamer", where she is a confident, smiling, dancing, beguiling forest spirit. Through all the changes though, Aurora's charisma dominates and her vision of the world shines in the compelling lyrics she writes. I am not aware of another artist who writes so inspirationally on difficult and sensitive subjects.
ANGELINA JORDAN......FUTURE MEGASTAR.!!!......WINNER OF NORWAY GOT TALENT IN 2014......she was 8 yo......she is 15 yo now......THE BAREFOOT PRINCESS CAN SING ANY GENRE......she is amazing!!!

and sweet-scented heathers?
And will she find flowers,
or will she find thorns
guarding the petals
of roses unborn?
Will there be starlight
tonight
while she gathers
seashells
and mussels
and albatross feathers?
And will she find treasure
or will she find pain
at the end of this rainbow
of moonlight on rain?
If you like this one, I have others. If not, no problem.
I cant understand why you haven't done reacted to more of her performances , its been a long time
do you have any requests?
Yeah.. go Aurora :)
Gotta check her "God is Woman" live performance and "It Happened Quiet" in the studio performance.
I subscribe for more Aurora.. She is sooo good and her lyrics should be published in a book and been on the curriculum for every school in the world! She deals with meaningfull universal topics.. 😊
I would like to point out that we have another Norwegian gem ; Angelina Jordan, singer/songwriter. She has a huge fanbase too and will blow your mind. Just take any song from her. She has 140+ on UA-cam.. 🤗😊

More aurora reactions
Billie Eilish and the also amazing French singer, Pomme, both asure they decided to become singers because of this very song; so Aurora is responsible for at least this two amazing singer/songwriters to step out.
You still have not reacted to "It Happened Quiet..." Please do this one, Live at the Current. Now, please and thank you. 😁
Greetings from Norway =)

It is Selma Stang.
In this performance it was Selma Frida Stang.

When men get excited about aurora, youll notice their partners get even less so, 😆
it’s actually a 6/8 time signature.
Have fun.
She reminds me of Kate Bush.
صوتها وادائها جميل على الرغم من صغر سنها لكنها مبدعه 🖤🖤.

Please react to Vera Blue singing "Breathe"
I’ve never seen a female react so blandly and dead eyed to Aurora. Love how the dude loves her.. chick is not convinced.
Her voice reminds me of Dolores O'Riordan.
Does he know that he's saying "uaah?" after many sentences?
Sean... you should leave more room to your mate : a bit too cocky in fact

I’m pretty sure this is in 6/8 time, not 3/4
Or react to a different kind of human by aurora studio version
You are wrong. If you want to hear her amazing vocal range, watch the entire Nidarosdomen concert. You will be converted.
its a world outside usa
