Cooking Fish with the Instant Pot from Frozen in under 25 minutes

  • Cooking Fish with the Instant Pot is my new favorite way to cook frozen fish. I often, accidentally, dry out my fish in the oven. However, I have found that tilapia turns out flaky and moist in the pressure cooker. This is awesome since I cook a lot of fish and other seafood. And, it doesn’t take that long. Enjoy!

Thanks for the recipe. I added butter and olive oil to the fish. Which turned out great. Pulled out the fish. Measure the water butter olive oil. Made rice with it .

I love the way your explanation is clear and concise. Watched a few other videos before this that were more confusing. We're cooking a home cooked recipe for our dog with allergies which was formulated by a nutritionist and this video is going to help with the cooking process...thank you!!! 😊

I did frozen haddock using the high pressure for 8 minutes and it worked! Of course the actual time for the whole process slightly longer.

I'm forever burning my fingers with that IP metal trivet. I really need to get the sling one. Nice video. I have already done this and the results were great. Going to try again tonight and maybe on a bed of rice. Thanks for sharing.

I like this video, it is simple and easy to follow. I am new to
instapoting... and cooking for that matter!. I have a question, if i am
just cooking one or two pieces of frozen fish (i bought some Cod) in my
smaller instapot duo mini 3 quart (i think it is the smallest one they
make) do i need to change the time or amount of water? Thank you

usually the times dont change, itd still take same time to arrive at a certain temp. what does mess it up is when the fish/item isnt staggered like the creator of vid says

I don't even bother unwrapping them, you can literally just dump them in and cook them in the vacuum pack on the sous vide setting if you've got it. I just dress them after I cut them out.

Considering how delicate and thin fish is, 8 minutes seems to be a might too much time, especially when you read the temp over 200, maybe instead of cooking on high, next time go for a lower pressure.
