You did an amazing job and the chicken came out amazing. A little tip you bout have season the chicken before add it into the instant pot. Lemon pepper season is good also.
You don’t need parchment paper, all you have to do is this. After you purchase the chicken from the supermarket while it is still thawed, put it in the freezer for 30 to 90 minutes, one separated from the other (maybe in a ziplock bag) . After theyget semihard go back separate it in the bag again and let it freeze overnight. The following morning, they should be rockhard, and if they are touching a little bit a simple drop on the floor will separate them. Put them back in the freezer and they will never fuse together.
this works well too by adding other tasty and healthy things to the water. i added a splash of low sodium soy sauce, apple cider vinegar and a halved onion and carrot to rest my chicken on as i don't have the rack!
Adding 1/4 cup of beer (because I already started following different recipe, but then looked at yours and liked it more) and 3/4 cup water. Keeping fingers crossed it is going to come out as good as yours! Thank you for explaining the process so well!

just love watching you you are awesome I learned so much from you since I got my instant pot and I am in heaven with my instapot I am so happy that my son bought this for me last mother's day and I think I made the best choice when he asked me Mom what do you want for mother's day and I did all this research believe me tons of research UA-cam Google just to see if I was making the right decision because you know anything's like a slow cooker I don't really want to slow cooker I have that and I'm so happy that I made that decision and my son bought this for me and I cook so many soups in this and every time I cook soups or meat or just anything it comes out delicious it comes out perfect it's not a lot of time and the food comes out delicious and moist just like if I had cooked it all day in a slow cooker but thank you I love watching you you're awesome you guys are fun to watch and I'm going to continue watching you I have subscribed 😊
I have the day off today and will relax and get my Covid shot and make some chicken . But instead of water I’m going to use chicken broth . Your accent reminds me of the actress in transporter 2. Have a great day.
Contrary to established theory, I found that the breasts take longer to cook when on a trivet than when submerged in the liquid. Going by recommended time they get to about 148 F on the trivet. Another minute, again with full release brings them up to proper temperature 161F-168F. When cooked in the liquid the lesser time works. You're actually steaming the breasts when on the trivet while braising or poaching is done in the liquid.
first time watching your video and it was great. but when your husband or whoever came on, it was hilarious! i was non stop laughing the last couple minutes. thanks!!
My first attempt resulted in a "burn" message;-) When I tried another day on 6 minutes - it worked. Possibly I didn't have enough water first time round? To make the chicken softer will try 7 minutes next time. It's called the Learning Curve!
When one afternoon simple done cooking, you don’t turn the knob to venting and let the pressure come down on its own. You will know all pressure is out if the pin is down.
Great video!!! I tried it but my instead of 2 ckn breasts I put in 5. I added 1 min , 11 instead of 10. Im new to the IP so maybe Im just not totally familiar with its operation. The IP did not time it, it just said "ON". I timed it with my own timer. There was no ding, or timer going off on the IP so checked it after 11 -12 minutes and the ckn was only half cooked. Is that because of the over DBL portion? I put it back in for 5 more mins, still no timer went off so I checked it, still pink inside but better. Hmmmm, they were thawed, am I doing something wrong?? Thanks again for the great video! Keep em coming!! I ended up cooking them once again for 6 more min, on high pressure as you directed. Thx
@@ifoodreal I have the Duo SV model, bought it several months ago at costco. I noticed once you pressed pressure cook and entered the time, there was no.... then press start! Confusing, then it just says ON, I would think it'd start timing it right away no? So it actually has to warm up first for 10-20 mins? If thats so, woulnt it take 30 mins and not 10? Thanks so much!!
No start button. It starts on its own and warms up when it says ON and the countdown begins. Yes it is more like 20-30 mins total cook time. This might help ifoodreal.com/instant-pot-guide/
i had bought a insta pot a while ago and never used it, that is until today, i made lemon pepper chicken and omg it was incredible. for super im going to use your recipe. would this work for a roast or wings as well?? great video
Thank you, extremely clear and concise post. your step by step is so easy to understand, 5 Stars to you! I'm making your recipe right now. Thanks again
I would assume that's your choice to marinate the chicken. Some people don't like it that way, but it depends on what recipe you're cooking the chicken for.
Is every InstantPot rack/trivet supposed to have those handles? Mine did not come with those. So there's nothing to hold onto while lowering the rack into the pot.
One thing I’ve been using is a foil band so I can lift things out (like cake pans and trivets that don’t have handles such as some egg holders). Maybe this might work for you? EDIT: If you do a foil band, make sure the ends are long enough to grab and lift out of the IP...and fold the ends into the pot while cooking!
iFOODreal , I’m sure of it ! Already made this recipe and ll be using as a stuffing for crepes ( just added fried onions and chopped boiled eggs) , it’s delicious! Chicken came out very tasty and succulent, thank u sooooo much , my ukrainian sister 😍👍👍👌👌👌🤗♥️🌹
The cooking time varies on UA-cam. Amy+Jacky - 8min. Others, 13-15min. I want mine juicy, then I am gonna coat with BBQ sauce, and burn the sauce on for 15min in my Halogen Oven.
Thank you for watching! It really depends on how thick your chicken breast is. I recommend 10 minutes - under 2″ thickness, 15 minutes - over 2″ thick breasts. :D
Thank you. I just received my Duo Plus 9 in 1. The Pressure Cook button is on the upper left. I tried cooking chicken breast. 🙄I couldn’t figure it out for 6 hours & had to throw them away. Don’t judge. After watching you press the buttons, I figured out what I did wrong. I pressed “start” after the minutes set. I see in reality, I was pressing “delay start” 🤦🏽♀️Ugh!!
it pretty much is the way instant pots work, they heat as evenly as possible so adding more or less ingredients doesn't typically change the cook time, because everything is pressurized
Do you think it makes a difference if you put the chicken breast on the multi purpose egg rack instead of the standard trivet , the egg rag is elevated higher the trivet is lower to the water ?
Note to self:
Refrigerated Chicken: 10 min High Pressure, 5 min natural release
Frozen Chicken : 15 min High Pressure, 5 min natural release

With 1C water
Last night I cooked sort of between Refrigerated and Frozen and set the timer for 12 minutes. Turned out really nice & tender. 😀
Thankyou I didn't want to watch an 8 minute video.

Good tip, thanks
It works great when you buy bacon too. Just lay them all spread out on a sheet and roll it up, freeze, then take out individual slices as needed.

If you have more than 2 chicken breast can you stack them on top of each other and is the cooking time stil the same?
You can place them tightly in a single layer but not stacked. Same cook time.
