Thank you for taking the time out to actually explain what you are doing step by step from beginning to end Best Tutorial video I have ever watched Appreciate your Work !!!
i make remixes and i wanted to try another softwear cause my old one had ADDS to put a sound and i had so many gliches and i hated it this rlly helped thank you!
This was one of the best tutorials for Serato Studio I've seen! I'm interested in more DJ edit videos. Could you do do a video on how to get a song like Brick House on-grid and then redrummed? Either way, I really appreciate this video! Stay safe
Can you also do one for making an uptempo version of a song as well as what @ Tra916 asked for. I cant find any tutorials on how to make my own uptempo remixes. (ie a song that's at 63 Bpm and making it into being more of a dance friendly version with a 130 Bpm. Or just in double time )
Another book video by you! I went ahead and clicked that subscribe and like buttons! I was hoping that you could give me a hand with a few things. I haven't really used midi or DJ gear in years and years. I have a newer AKAI Midi Controller which has two octaves worth of keys God and maybe 22 trigger pads.... Would it be difficult to use the AKAI with this version of Serato? How did you receive a beta code or download link? Did you discover many bugs? Sorry for all of the questions. I try to learn everything that I can when it comes to something new and creative. Especially if it nights up and makes sounds.
fantastic video!!! helped me a lot , however after i split the track and add the cut part , the beat seems off for the bit you add back on??? but first bit in tune strange
@@orrickmedia7442 It might be the beat Grid is off for your track. Hard to tell without seeing the project. I made a video for editing beat grids too that might help
Yea i concur With Tra916 you are a good teacher even though the folks at Serato explain this software making it seem easy to your tutorial is really much easier to understand because you talk to us learners like we are unknowing and explain things assuming we know nothing so you cover little things and terms. Serato should hire you to teach. Thanks for posting and look forward to learning more from your school. I started with Abelton and is way more complicated but i did learn it and because of this working with Serato is sooo much easier as i understand terms and concepts. I'll use both though as i can make clean samples and group different samples together then do DJ edits in this with all the vocal samples and rework them and create some interesting remixes.
Thanks Strictly Vintage Basketball. Full disclosure I actually work at Serato, but its great to know this is explained clearly :) definitely my intention to help people learn in a fun and easy way. I use Ableton as well. Its a very full featured program and very complimentary with Serato Studio.
Everything you did in this video was explained so perfect and helpful!! I had to like & subscribe JUST for how helpful & easy you explained how to make the remix. I am so hyped about getting this and adding it as part of my work flow. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! One quick question, if I used one of my controllers, say the Roland DJ 808 will I be able it to control volume, & Fx, etc like I can in Serato DJ? And be able to save the beats I can create using the TR section, for an easier work flow as well?
@@Kutcorners Is there a way I can use the Pioneer DDJ 200 controller and use it with the software? I have we that controller also, but I cant get it to work with Serato, I know it it meant for Rekordbox and a couple others but I've been using Serato for a long time and all my music is imported into Serato. I got the controller to hopefully use for basic purposes only since its more portable
@@carlos_mann I don't believe that you can, it's definitely not mapped to be used with Serato Studio. It might send midi messages, but I'm not sure cause I don't have one to test with sorry.
@@Kutcorners Alright, thank you! Would you mind making a tutorial on how to make an uptempo version of a song? Like the ones you can find on DJ sites. And is there a way to make Bpm transitions inside of Studio? For example if I wanted to make a 100 - 87 Bpm Trans Edit of a song? Or can you make a tutorial on how to make those types of edits, using Studio.
Whatever sounds good to you really. I sometimes use the whole song, other times I re-arrange certain parts of the song. Sometimes I just use a small loop.
Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems odd you cannot record/play samples from the scenes as you play in song mode. Would also like to have multiple scenes available to add additional samples, etc
Well i got a problem. everytime i drop a music into audio track and play it, it will play the 3 minute song in 8 seconds, it speeds it up and keeps scratching my ears, idk what to do.
Dude, that was legit so helpful. I almost gave up on the programme but you've just made it all make sense. Thank you!
Thank you, I'm glad to hear it gave you the examples you needed. Its really a fast and fun workflow once you get in the groove.
The second cam for the keyboard just brought it all to the next lvl. This was really helpful :)
Thank you so much! Trying to step up the production value :)
Spot on! And the mouse hovering makes it easy to follow.
The best Serato Studio Tutorial I have seen so far! I am downloading Serato Studio now just because this lesson! Blessings!
Thank you so much!! Have fun making beats and remixes
Sweet bro!
This had been my most successful attempt to understanding serato with your videos man keep it up
Thanks! glad it was easy to follow :)

Glad you enjoyed it!
I have the beta version, after watching this, now im buying the full verson. This is definitely a game changer for the djs and producers
That’s awesome to hear man. It’s got quite a lot better since I made this video too. Glad you enjoyed the video :)

@@KutcornersHey, is there a way to take out the original beat completely?
@@tonyg1690 You mean the drums? There are plugins to do this, stemverter I think allows you to do this

it doubles the drums for some reason

The 808 will control with the faders and pads, but the TR section of that controller is standalone, so won't sequence in Serato.

How come when you open serato studio it says remix not dj edit? Great 👍 video
Might have been changed recently, but kinda same thing ;)
Great job. Thank you! You explained things so clearly :)
thank you Simona!
Big shout out Kutcorners, you're far too kind and helpful bruv
Thank you so much Siphosihle
Great Tutorial!! Very helpful. Thank you
I'm searching for the song (glow of love) in serato DJ library and I can't found it so can you help me
Huge help. 🙏🏼
I just wanted to know, we don't have to use the whole song in a do did right just whatever sounds good?

how do you chop or trim the track from the beginning of bar? am trying to edit a mixtape of 30 mins duration.
Thanks, very simple break down. I learned a lot of new things.
Thank you for this!!!!
Thank you for tuning in :)
Thanks, very accurate.
Can you do a tutorial on how you downloaded it please
Thanks for this, please do more..

thanks for tuning in

This is very helpful, Thank you!
Now that SS has been updated with many more improvements, can you come back and do another one of these? There is a huge lack of SS content on YT.
Thats a good suggestion, will try and do that
Well i got a problem. everytime i drop a music into audio track and play it, it will play the 3 minute song in 8 seconds, it speeds it up and keeps scratching my ears, idk what to do.
You might need to turn off "sync" for the track or edit the beat grid.
What happens if you drumbeat is out of sync with your imported song? How do you speed up or slow down the drums?
That is possible with editing the beat grids of the song you've imported. I'm planning to do a video to explain this in more detail soon.
where can i buy the programm
You can download a free (14 day) trial of Serato Studio here serato.com/studio/downloads
Where can i get Trap/Bass Samples 😫
Hey Bongani Monyoko the trap bass samples I use all come included with Serato Studio. The "head explosion bass" by Decap is particularly good
@@Kutcorners Thanks I'll check it out
Great video bro. Cant seem to place your accent.
New Zealand + Canada = some kind of mix between the two
I could definitely hear the kiwi...solid keep up the good vids

Song structuring is the current struggle
Can relate. This is a very important skill. Especially challenging with loop based songs
Thanks! BTW, part of your channel name stands for a female reproductive organ in Dutch ;)
who else is here to see how to make memes edits ;>
